No fragrance. Huge percentage of calming centella (49%), but not a bunch of other extracts that might be sensitizing. Doesn't sit heavy or "oily." As a bonus, the tube is 60 ml instead of 50, so you're even getting a little "extra" compared to most other Korean sunscreen. For reference I have combo skin that tends to dehydrated around my cheeks and eyes.

I had a chance to try out the Skin1004 probio cica line courtesy of stylekorean and i LOVE! I havent experienced immediate soothing like their OG ampoule and idk about longterm results right now, but the textures are just amazing. I cant really pick a favorite! hope youre doing well and that florida isnt getting too hot!
They knocked it out of the park with the textures! It’s so welcomed as I still remember when more dry skin friendly k-beauty was harder to find. So exciting!!

I have to chime in about your skill as a speaker. Preface; My husband went to a special school when he changed jobs while he was in the army, for a job called public affairs. He did classes in video, photography, writing, and radio. He says radio is the most challenging because you have to cast a spotlight and critical eye over your own voice and speech patterns, with accents and slight lisps that have developed over a lifetime. One of the biggest things for voice, like in broadcast, is clarity and enunciation which you excel in, I truly think you're a fabulous narrator! I'm not saying this just because I like your personality and humor! You're easily understandable, have fantastic pacing, your speech clarity is like threading a needle. I never struggle when I'm listening to you and know what you're conveying (you have a way with words!) even when I'm not watching the screen. I have significant ADHD and I'm able to stay tuned in to your voice when I look away which is probably the most impressive to me 😅 Some people are just joy thieves and should be ignored, but I know that last bit is easier said than done. I hope they bug off! ☺️

I found your channel just days ago and omg, where has it been in my life? ✨So nice to watch and full of information. When I started Kbeauty I still went for all the oily skin things, that my skin can really ignore now that I'm coming back. How times change. Who knows if clogged pores will ever leave me, but while I'm not _dry_ I feel dehydration contributes to them. More Skin1004 on the way to me, and the serum/moisturizer of this line might just follow.
Do you use an exfoliant? I actually prefer the gentle versions these days: LHA/PHA. Great for keeping the pores nice and clear and not too much on my skin type!

I'll definitely take a closer look at that. 🙏 I probably overexfoliated that 'oily, mild acne since age 12' skin for _so long_ (the temptation!)🙄 and last year I've thrown out all exfoliants, except what comes close with ascorbic acid and urea. It's better, but finding just the right exfoliant is worth another cautious try.

Make Prems safe me toner is one of my favorites. It’s a little basic, but I keep it on hand for when my skin is irritated and needs hydration in a safe way!
Fun happenstance: I am very good friends with the members of a local (Charlotte, NC) burlesque troupe, and one of the members did a number set to NIN "The Great Below" mixed with the Imperial March. @AliceintheRabbitHole so the one I'm finishing is the UV Defense Me. And I've been using the make prem stick on my kids. It's mineral and easy and they are spf resistant so anything that eases the process helps. And I can carry it with us while we're out and about.

There are so many great Korean skin lines and Korean products that are affordable and incredibly effective, that I find it hard to know which ones to use, and how to layer them. I’m not really complaining because it such an amazing development in my life but at the same time… I don’t know if it’s OK to be mixing all these different serums on my face from all these different lines. The one product I would really like to find is an eye product without any oils or glycerin, for puffy, undereyes and lids as well, to relieve the dryness, but without adding to the puffiness. If you find one like that, I would love a review on it as I’m sure others with puffy eyes would also love. I cannot use anything on my eyes right now because it always makes my eyes puffier.
I actually found a podcast of someone who attended the exact same institution that I did (as a kid though, she went to the college while I was in the grade school). It’s called Leaving Eden. It really was wild times 👀
I have only tried the Probiotic-Cica Enrich Cream so far, but I really like it, enough to be planning to order backups. It appears somewhat like a snail mucin cream as it is “stretchy “. I did not find it overly emollient and I really like it for my morning and evening moisturizer. I have mature skin, a bit dry and I have rosacea. I am interested in more products with the standardized cica, called TECA.

Do you need a waterproof sunscreen? I hate that I mostly have western recs there, but I was actually looking on YesStyle last night. They have a sweat proof sunscreen that I’ve added to my wishlist (it’s by Kose) I’m not much help as I haven’t personally tried it, but I am very intrigued!

I'd always figured Amazing Grace had more than one verse even as a kid and while I don't recall hearing it when I went to church (which wasn't all the time), I did get to hear, I believe Joan Baez sing it on some show I was watching and she definitely did additional verses.

Ok so I initially fell in love with the Skin1004 moisturizer. I do find that even when I use less it still has a tacky finish. I also find if I rub my finger over my skin it can pill. Did you find this as well? Wish this wasn’t the case.

I think everyone dislikes their own voice! If I’m recalling correctly, it has to do with how different it sounds on a recording from how we hear it. It’s jarring for sure!

I tried two of the products in that line and as a person with very dry, sensitive skin...I love them. I did a short set of reviews in an Instagram post. I have been relying on them as a balance to the stronger retinoid I've been using.

I've been oogling at their products recently and got confused at the plethora of sunscreens. I've also wondered if their slight tone-up helps with visual coverage confirmation while the shininess offers the dewy finish under makeup (I don't wear makeup). Curiousor curiousor ... yes I am. I am an Alice fan too ... of Wonderland and you (did I just rhyme 😄).
The tone up that I tried is waaaay too much of a tone up haha. But I do like the others! I really appreciate the face/body sunscreen too, nice to be able to get a bigger size without breaking the bank 😃
I wanted to love the Skin1004 probio cica cream and ampoule but sadly they didn't work for me. The cream wasn't enough for my skin and the more I would apply the more tacky/sticky it would get. I honestly feel like their more for oily skin. I didn't like the way my skin felt after they dried. It's too bad 😢 I loved they way they felt going on but didn't like the way my skin felt after they dried.
Great information! Curious if you know what K beauty products have retrinal. I know Beauty of Joseon eye cream has retrinal. My neck can’t tolerate the tretinoin I use on my face. Naturium makes a good affordable retrinal but would like to try a k beauty retrinal face cream.
Dr. Different Vitalift-A and By Wishtrend Bakuchiol night cream! Dr. Different comes in a couple strengths, with the forte being the max level of retinal (.1%). There are probably more options but these ones come to mind!

Does anyone know with probiotic-cica line if the toner is really needed if you have the ampoule and the cream. I already use other toners I like and they all contain niacinimide. I'm scared with the amount of niacinimide in skin care today that I will over do it. They say 5% is the sweet spot but most products contain 2/5%. When I add my routine I'm probably sometimes using up to 20% a day between my AM and PM routine

I have significant ADHD and I'm able to stay tuned in to your voice when I look away which is probably the most impressive to me 😅

When I started Kbeauty I still went for all the oily skin things, that my skin can really ignore now that I'm coming back. How times change. Who knows if clogged pores will ever leave me, but while I'm not _dry_ I feel dehydration contributes to them. More Skin1004 on the way to me, and the serum/moisturizer of this line might just follow.
Do you use an exfoliant? I actually prefer the gentle versions these days: LHA/PHA. Great for keeping the pores nice and clear and not too much on my skin type!

I probably overexfoliated that 'oily, mild acne since age 12' skin for _so long_ (the temptation!)🙄 and last year I've thrown out all exfoliants, except what comes close with ascorbic acid and urea. It's better, but finding just the right exfoliant is worth another cautious try.

@AliceintheRabbitHole so the one I'm finishing is the UV Defense Me. And I've been using the make prem stick on my kids. It's mineral and easy and they are spf resistant so anything that eases the process helps. And I can carry it with us while we're out and about.

There are so many great Korean skin lines and Korean products that are affordable and incredibly effective, that I find it hard to know which ones to use, and how to layer them.
I’m not really complaining because it such an amazing development in my life but at the same time…
I don’t know if it’s OK to be mixing all these different serums on my face from all these different lines.
The one product I would really like to find is an eye product without any oils or glycerin, for puffy, undereyes and lids as well, to relieve the dryness, but without adding to the puffiness.
If you find one like that, I would love a review on it as I’m sure others with puffy eyes would also love.
I cannot use anything on my eyes right now because it always makes my eyes puffier.

I have only tried the Probiotic-Cica Enrich Cream so far, but I really like it, enough to be planning to order backups. It appears somewhat like a snail mucin cream as it is “stretchy “. I did not find it overly emollient and I really like it for my morning and evening moisturizer. I have mature skin, a bit dry and I have rosacea. I am interested in more products with the standardized cica, called TECA.
Yes, it does remind me of snail cream! I need to keep in mind that the term for that texture is stretchy - it is quite fitting!

Ok so I initially fell in love with the Skin1004 moisturizer. I do find that even when I use less it still has a tacky finish. I also find if I rub my finger over my skin it can pill. Did you find this as well? Wish this wasn’t the case.

I tried two of the products in that line and as a person with very dry, sensitive skin...I love them. I did a short set of reviews in an Instagram post. I have been relying on them as a balance to the stronger retinoid I've been using.
I bought it! Via Stylevana so it might be a while to get it lol, but coming (eventually 😅). I’m very curious as well!

I've also wondered if their slight tone-up helps with visual coverage confirmation while the shininess offers the dewy finish under makeup (I don't wear makeup). Curiousor curiousor ... yes I am. I am an Alice fan too ... of Wonderland and you (did I just rhyme 😄).
The tone up that I tried is waaaay too much of a tone up haha. But I do like the others! I really appreciate the face/body sunscreen too, nice to be able to get a bigger size without breaking the bank 😃
is the Kaine Rosemary Relief Gel Cleanser good for oily skin?

I wanted to love the Skin1004 probio cica cream and ampoule but sadly they didn't work for me. The cream wasn't enough for my skin and the more I would apply the more tacky/sticky it would get. I honestly feel like their more for oily skin. I didn't like the way my skin felt after they dried. It's too bad 😢 I loved they way they felt going on but didn't like the way my skin felt after they dried.

Great information! Curious if you know what K beauty products have retrinal. I know Beauty of Joseon eye cream has retrinal. My neck can’t tolerate the tretinoin I use on my face. Naturium makes a good affordable retrinal but would like to try a k beauty retrinal face cream.

Dr. Different comes in a couple strengths, with the forte being the max level of retinal (.1%). There are probably more options but these ones come to mind!

Does anyone know with probiotic-cica line if the toner is really needed if you have the ampoule and the cream. I already use other toners I like and they all contain niacinimide. I'm scared with the amount of niacinimide in skin care today that I will over do it. They say 5% is the sweet spot but most products contain 2/5%. When I add my routine I'm probably sometimes using up to 20% a day between my AM and PM routine
