Hey guys and welcome to todays video where we are talking some of the recent issues with centella serums.. what do you think to this, let me know in the comments below.. love you all x
@@MadAboutSkin I think you should do centella , haruharu and beauty if joseon cleaning oil review side by side means compare each of them and which type of skin suits which one do this also .

That loreal product is revital lift. More than 20 years ago loreal already mentioned this ingredients. At that time k beauty wasn't even huge in Asia. To each his own. I don't think it's the holy grail or not always as necessary for everyone bc everyone does not have the same skin issues etc. I believe for others with different needs a combo of other actives are more salient or effective for them where centiella is just meh. It's like you see commericals talking about 'beet root' powder, the benefits of internally - beet root powder does sh*t for me and I feel weird / I'll inside. The same with what I call fake sugars - I include Splenda stevia monkfruit as fake alt sugars. Although I know they are natural whenever I do run across them I get ill consuming them- monk fruit especially takes like sh*t to me - all these sugars taste makes me want to throw up. All of this is to say to each his (or her etc) own. Everything is not for everybody
When the video opened I thought what a lovely shirt. So laughed when you asked if viewers found it garish…it isn’t at all. I have the Skin 1004 serum and use it with my vitamin C - it is a generous size bottle so lasts for ages. The fact it said extract it was pretty obvious it was diluted…but as I have sensitive skin I don’t mind less concentrated serums. I do agree clearer labelling is an improvement though.
Transparency in skincare is always a good thing. So the new SK regulation is a welcome development. I have been using the skin1004 centella ampoule (the entire line, in fact) continuously for about 2 weeks now and my skin is liking it. It's definitely effective in calming my sensitive, redness-prone skin. I never really believe that it's 100% centella extract. No skincare product is 100% of any thing. But the formulation, the mixture of whatever ingredients are there, is obviously good because it works well on my skin. So I will continue using my skin1004 centella ampoule. 😊
Hi Rob, just wanted to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU for this video. I have bought over ten bottles of the skin1004, and I feel very misled. I actually reached out to them just a few days ago asking what percentage was in the serum and they were very vague with their answer and didn’t bother to give a percentage amount. So thank you so very much for letting us know the actual percentage, because obviously I was not going to ever get a straight answer from the company itself. BRAVO to you for putting out such great content. You’re the best!! Much love to you 💕
Oh thank you so much hun and I am so glad the video was useful.. its a shame in 2024 brands cant be more transparent with us as there is nothing to hide.. love x
I do not quite agree with the percentage discussion. Even in a 100% extract from something there are different parts of theat something. For instance, freshly pressed orange juice. 100% no added water or sugar. Right? Yet, if you want to break it down you have so much water, super, natural color, vitamins etc. Still it is a 100% orange juice.
This reminds me of an old cosrx bha liquid controversy. They used different sources of salicilic acid to get over korean regulation.. they couldnt go above 2%, but they put into the product a salix alba extract that had alot of salicilic content on it.. + betaine salicilate + salicilic acid. The serum was stroooong.. i even got skin rashes from it. I told people it had more acid than expected hidden into the formulation and people didnt believe, soon after korean FDA got the product checked and they had to change everything and also call back the serum.
Thank you for letting us know about this. I just ordered a knock off of it on Temu lol, where I have never used any type of aha glycolic etc mask before on my skin. I will have to test and watch how i use it bc now I know there can be an adverse reaction due to different amounts of elements. I have never used the original or anything like it before i just use natural oils like coconut oil olive oil etc on my skin, so from what you shared i now know to be careful
@@jenniferh.7219pay attention to China product as their SA content can be much higher than stated. My sis end up in hospital after using China live stream cerave. She already using cerave since young so didn't expect such serious skin issues. I even seek loreal help regarding my sis issue and loreal request for the cerave cleanser my sis use to test. Find it contain more than 10% SA. If i remember correctly is 13.X%. Thankfully it's cleanser not cream or serum that stay on skin for longer duration.
@@fuchsin7066you are partially correct. Most China products are not regulated at all. Even regulated, company can bribe their way for approval. But i do use lots of China products that was recommended and use by China people living in China. I only trust products my own friends and family members recommend. Plus i verify by their self taken photo of the product. Never ever trust China livestream host claims or even celebrities claim as some celebrities was charged multiple times for endorsing bad quality products for money sake.
my favorite calming products: • numbuzin 1 calming toner • numbuzin 4 sos sheet mask • dr g blemish sheet mask all of these get rid of minor redness, and helps stop irritated skin that feels like it’s about to break out (which happens to me a lot by end of the day)
I think in all fairness to the brands, they were incentivised to do this because of consumers always thinking a higher percentage is better when it is not necessarily so. Really high percentages of actives or plant extracts can be irritating, but consumers are always looking for the highest percentages. I'm glad the regulation has changed, but personally I wouldn't blame any individual brand as if one brand said 100% and they said 5%, they wouldn't get sales
Agreed - from another perspective though, I was actually avoiding the skin1004 centella serum because I was like... "that high of a percentage will fuck me up for sure!" But knowing that the percentage is a lot lower now makes me a little more inclined to try it out, especially since i like their centella ampoule foam cleanser so much
Vegreen is my go to since day one, since I started taking an interest in my skin care - which is because I stumbled upon the Mad About Skin channel. Now that being said: I'm an equestrian in Ohio and typically covered in dust. If the Vegreen is working I have no idea. I'm always red and irritated! But that doesn't matter. What matters to me is the outstanding advocacy that the Mad About Skin channel provides to the public. Rob is a caring man and an ethical man and his content is of the highest quality. Love you Sir. All of us over here in the hunter jumper community adore you. Big smooch.
Thanks for this informative video Rob! I for one am delighted by this development. As you said, complete ingredient lists are essential for those of us with sensitivities to certain product components. Hopefully it won't take too long for companies to update their websites to reflect these changes. I will definitely be checking out the Vegreen serum. Love your shirt btw!🦩
❤ My skin barrier had some issues recently. I had the Skin 1004 toner and the Mary&May centella mask, but even those caused stinging. So I got the Avene Cicalfate Restorative Barrier cream and Dr. Jart Ceramidin cream. Those two together healed my issues with a few days. But I will use my toner and masks as long as my skin tolerate it! And I will always keep a tube of Avene Cicalfate handy.
♥ My skin LOVES centella, no matter what percentage. Recently I bought the mini kit of the new Purito Seoul Wonder Releaf Centella Unscented line and I think in that, I found a new favourite. (Even the packaging is my alltime favourite colour!) The serum is my absolute favourite of this line. Your story about the serum from SKIN1004 was indeed an eyeopener and a, just in time(!), VERY good tip for me, as I have a 30ml bottle on the way to me for soothing my irritated scalp which, in general, is NOT happy with glycerine (which is even two steps higher on the ingredients list than the centella extract!). So thanks SO much for this video, Rob! ♥ PS: I hope the party was awesome. 😊🦩
❤❤Thank you, I’ve been looking for a good cica serum & unfortunately a lot of them have niacinimide or essential oils, which really irritate my sensitive skin!
I have purchased almost all the products in the skin1004 Centella line. Their cleanser duo and their ampoule have been such a great help. My acne has nearly disappeared thanks to them. If this is the end of them, that’s sad news for me.
@@Alex-zs2im I use the “Centella 100% ampoule” the one with a yellow orange colour. It’s so good for calming the skin and giving hydration. I have sensitive skin and this products skin soothing/ protection, was a massive reason why products like retinol don’t affect me.
if anyone is still interested in centella, the brand One Thing’s 100% centella toner is really nice. it’s naturally brown/tea colored and even has a natural smell reminds me of the I’m From Mugwort which i thought was a little too overpriced for what it is
❤ still got an unopened bottle of vegreen somewhere in the cupboard that I had forgotten about so I will now dig it out and use it, thanks for the reminder x
❤ I didn’t think I’d be saying this today, “Yea for regulations!” I still love Skin1004’s various ampoules, especially the brightening one. It’s the one with suspended bubbles. It’s been great for my eczema flare ups, and everyone from my hubby to my 12 yr old love it when their skin feels upset. Thank you Mad About Skin for introducing it to us and for explaining all the chatter about the South Korean regs change, super helpful. ❤
I love the skin1004 Madagascar centella toner. It’s my favourite. So gentle and soothing on my skin. I also use the BoJ vit c with centella. I’ll continue using centella and skin1004 as my skin really enjoys it ❤.
I think I may be allergic to this ingredient because I’ve always been red and burning after using. You are the first person to talk about possible allergic reaction. I may have used it far long than I needed to if I hadn’t been warned in your video of the possibility. Thank you so much darling💝💕
❤ I love centella asiatica! My favorite serums are by cosrx and purito, but I love the skin1004, too. I'll keep using it. Yes, it's a shame that they were not completely up front simply because they weren't legally required to do so. Still, it's a good product. I have eczema, and my skin loves cica. I will try the vegreen serum.
♥️ I love my CORX centella serum. But it is also available as cica cream in any drugstore in the US that caters to the Hispanic market. The Hispanic community has always used it for skincare.
I remember when I got my first bottle of their toning toner (a staple in my skincare) I thought...what do they mean by 100% Centella? That makes no sense, considering it has PHA in it and other things. I'm glad for the changes, it's definitely less confusing. I am going to go order the Brightening Ampoule thanks to your recommendation! I'm 41 and have a few issues with hyperpigmentation.
❤ I was part of a test program for the Skin 1004 Centella serum and I've repurchased since. It's super lightweight and soothing for me. I use it as a day serum after Rx Tretinoin at night.
I love it and it works well for me.. I wish they were a little more transparent thats all but that must have been so cool to be part of the test program.. love x
Rob, you've got to get your hands on Cosmetics 27 Baume which is a HIGH DOSE of [the constituents of] Centella Asiatica. This is what convinced me that it was an amazing skincare ingredient, and made me suspicious of the actual amounts of it in Korean skincare. I'm so HAPPY about the new regulation, for as a consumer I WANT TO KNOW, and spend my money accordingly. Thank you for informing the consumer!
Do you happen to know the exact percentage? Just checked their website, and they’re super vague about it... It says 15.6% active ingredients - but that also includes resveratrol, niacinamide, fruit acids, celery extract, and flaxseed, along with the CICA complex. So the actual centella content might also be somewhere in the 5% range 🧐
❤ I can't say I feel cheated...I used COSRX pure fit cica serum, I could never figure out how the percentage was but was fairly happy with it. Then I switched to vegreen which I find quite a bit better. As I now want to consolidate HA and Niacinimide, I found Skin 1004 - Madagascar Centella Hyalu - Cica blue serum. It doesn't say anything about percentage but after this video I assume it's low. Do you think its a good combination serum or should I keep looking? Ohh and your shirt is fab... it says summer and wine 😁 xx
I’ll be very interested to see the percentage of cica in the products I have loved and those that just didn’t do anything for me. I’m very happy with my other Vegreen serums. I’ll buy the centella serum next on your recommendation.
❤ I think that centella is great, I use it regularly! I'm glad that there is going to be more transparency in Korean skincare, I've definitely been confused by it in the past. At one point I was scared that I had bought a fake Anua Heartleaf Toner, because the ingredients list showed that houttuynia cordata extract was the fifth ingredient, not the first 😆
❤. I have oily congested skin and love some Cica when double cleansing before bed. Super soothing, very gentle yet thorough. I’m using The Potions range at the moment but have Mary and May next to try soon.
❤ I use the skin 1004 centella Brightening Ampule and it's fantastic. Does exactly what it says on the tin! I also use the Purito Centella Unscented Serum on days when my skin needs a break. It's very soothing. As a oily,, sensitive, redness prone person I love the gentle ingredients in Korean Skincare.
Thank you Rob! That was super helpful. Kelly has mentioned it in her purito video but I hadn't fully grasped what happened with the regulations. And I have to get on the vegreen train asap 😂 lots of love!
The Skin 1004 ampoule has actually been a game changer for my reactive skin, both redness and Perioral Dermatitis! However I'm really glad that you draw attention to this phenomena with Asian skincare, I feel we have swallowed so much of it because of the hype without really knowing a great deal about it. Thank you for a great video - and I LOVE the shirt🤗
Thanks for this! Wish more brands put concentration for actives my skin is more sensitive to a lot of high concentrations with certain ingredients. Forgot some of my products have CA have it in like my fav klairs rich moist soothing cream. Just bought tir tir milky toner. Don’t really buy products for that specifically but it’s nice to have.
Their oil cleanser saved my dry skin when nothing else would. I love it. I was so worried you were going to say it was bad for your health or something.
There's a video in Stylekorean where they highlighted Skin1004 and interviewed someone from the company. She did mention about their 100% Centella ampoule. I wonder if you watched it and your comment on it. Love your shirt by the way. X❤X❤
Hello 👋🏽 my friend Rod ❤❤❤. I love Beauty of Joseon Centella Asiatica sheet mask. It gives my skin a smooth, calm and silky look and feel. Love the Hawaiian shirt. I used to live in Hawai’i. Thank you 😊 for another great video full of incredible information. Cheers 😉🌷
First of all, love the shirt! I always thought the centella extract would be something like this, not only a product can't be made without any preservative, but probably rubbing 100% concentrated anything on the skin is going to be very irritating, and also to be that liquid it must contain water. I'm glad we now get to see exactly what is inside, though...
Hi Rob, bit off topic but would love to see videos about how you started your skincare range business and advise for other young entrepreneurs, love from the UK, looking forward to trying your skincare line :)
I think Vegreen cica serum is equalilly misleading as skin1004. Vegreen just mention about 70% centella asiatica water, but does not mention how much of the active ingrdients is in the water. The concentration of the active ingredients are a question mark as well?
💜first love the shirt!! Second still love Skin 1004 Madagascar Centella Tone Brightening Capsule Ampoule and their masks are great if I am meditating or in the morning right before I get up.
It would be very hard to be parted from my Skin 1004 brightening ampoule…. and I know you think I can get my hands on any skincare brand here, for some reason Vegreen is not one of them!😢 Three days to go till I land in the UK !😊. So excited to see mum, daughter and family but also excited to unbox all the stuff I’ve ordered to mum’s. I think I’m most excited about the K-Secret multi balm! 😅
OMG I love the brightening one hun and I think it actually contains more centella than this one (or very similar) so a very good option for everything.. The UK cant wait to have you back hun and the weather is supposed to get better from the weekend so you have timed it well :) love x
❤ Great information, it's good to know how little Cica is needed to enhance the benefits of Vitamin C. I currently have the large Skin1004 Cica Ampule and have ordered a sampler set that contains the Pore Minimiser ampule as I just used the last of the MAS Peptide. Honestly, the large sizes are so economical that I'm tempted to use them as body products. However, I think I'll order a bottle of the Veegreen to trial and then keep a bottle on hand for first aid emergencies. I've accepted the fact that I'll always need products on hand for when life doesn't go according to plan.❤
That exact serum is what FINALLY got my dry, sun-exposed dull skin feeling and looking moisturized. It is very thin and watery so one pump does my face, neck, and hands. I have been consistently using it for a month using it day and night, and the changes in my skin, especially the pores around my nose and cheeks have greatly improved.
I am using CICA cream constantly, however, not in my daily routine, but for irritation and wounds, so basically as a medication 😅 And it helps really great with healing!
@@MadAboutSkinI received my Vegreen yesterday and it feels so different from the Centella. Im sure Im going to see a big difference going forward. Thank you!!!
Yes, everything in your channel is very very good 💙 and I'm thanks you to help me to care about me skin 🙏🏻💙💙 thank you Robert 💙 and I love your shirt 🥰👕🌿🏵️❤️
thats why i'm even more glad, i've chose the corsx one that contains 76% of centella ingradients including madecassoside, asiaticassoside etc. over the skin 1004 one. i'm using it after my bha and like it a lot 😊
❤️ I have other products that I can use instead but I do like to use it for a variety of uses. The ordinary uses central in the Stress Less serum which I use the neutralize my skin after vitamin ca so that I can add my copper peptides.
Fun Fact, the pronounciation of 1004 in korean(cheonsa) is the same as the korean word for angel, so the brand is actually called "Skin angel" :) I thought that's super cute! Thanks for the great video, I haven't tried this product from them actually, but their Centella Asiatica Cleansing Oil might be my favourite Cleansing Oil. Probably not a lot of Centella Asiatica in that lol, but for some reason it is just so gentle but also leaves my skin super clean and non irritated. I might have to have a look at that product you recommended :D
On my second bottle of Vegreen Cica and had been using Skin1004 previously. I went from a few breakouts to no breakouts. Rob, you win again for your viewers. Thanks!
WAWW, This new labeling /regulation information seems Very Significant. However, perhaps 'the proof is in the pudding' meaning once the product is effective, does it really matter as much, what percentages of ingredients are in there🤔. Thanks for letting us know, keep well 🙏💌
Hi Rob ❤centella or cica, but I always look for the active compounds anyway as they have the strongest benefits. I have never used the serum shown for that reason. Centella is far from the only ingredient that this is done with eg mugwort/artemisia is another very common ingredient for this marketing. Different legislation in different countries is something to be aware of if we want to use products from there and skin1004 were far from the only brand doing this. There is a brand completely based on this type of marketing with “single ingredient” products in the whole line. This won’t really affect me too much as I was using more complex INCI lists anyway. Best wishes x
Darn I just received my order for this line. I ordered it for the soothing properties due to recommendation from influencers. Although it took 6 weeks for my Stylevana order to come so this info could have come out later.
Hi, I’ve had experience with quite a few centella extracts serum on the market. I was first introduced to it by skin1004, and to my opinion it was so not concentrated, like a toner water to me and my skin doesn’t change much after a full 100ml bottle of it. I was skeptical about the concentration of centella asiatica even before they announced it now. After that I changed to the Beplain one, and it does MASSIVE for my skin ngl. Mainly because the concentration here is 84%, much higher. Thus, I can see and feel the big difference since I started using the Beplain one. Been using it for nearly 2 years now, couldn’t compliment it enough. A bit off topic but I recently use Noni ampoule by Celimax and Bifida Biome by Ma:nyo, I think it’s even better than the Beplain centella ampoule. Might even consider switching to that when I used up all of my centella serum. P/s: thank Rob!
My skin loves Centella Asiatica, and it hates witch hazel. An ingredient that doesn’t do anything either way for me is mugwort. Everyone’s skin is different, that’s why it’s so hard to find what works.
@@MadAboutSkin I always appreciate people sharing information and opening discussion to be more well-informed. Product pushing is really making it difficult to trust influencers.
LOL, you couldn't get more British by calling your shirt garish! Tropical countries wear them all the time, and you look fantastic! I use the Vergreen brand you recommended ages ago, along with my vitamin C from Geek & Gorgeous. It works a treat!
In the last 6 months, during a period of great stress, my rosacea flared up extremely, suddently I couldn't use any of my CeraVe skincare, not even to wash my face wuthout it burning, I had to stop using the ordinary moisturizers as well because they were irritating, I had stinging, redness, breakouts, dryness and even a few broken capilararies. Through some research I decided to try Skin1004 and it literally saved my skin. I started with the centella ampoule foam facewash and the centella soothing cream and in about 2 weeks my inflamation had calmed down enough that I could start using other products like peptided and anti-aging things.
I am on my second bottle of Skin 1004. My skin is less volatile, red and seems to enjoy it (whatever the percentage). If it has worked well for Koreans (generally they have beautiful skin) over the years, then I don't have a problem with it.
Okay, so 1st I’d like to say that I started Tretinoin a few weeks ago. I got it strictly for anti-aging, as I have never had acne problems or any other skin issues, by the grace of God. I started Tretinoin at .025%, and the first 3-4 days I took it, I figured I was going to be one of the very, very few that don’t get irritated by it. I couldn’t have been more wrong. About the 4th day, it didn’t matter what other serums or moisturizers I put on my face, it would burn. So I took a day off, and it would help, then go another 2 days, repeat, and then eventually after a 3 days in a row, I had to take 2 days off. I heard of Centella, and was going through some Amazon reviews, seeing how some people said they could finally use their Tretinoin every day because of Centella. Today is the first time, except for when I first started, that I will be able to apply Tretinoin 4 days in a row. I am using the Purito Unscented Centella Recovery cream as my first coating of moisturizer, but I heard there are a few other Centella products out there that do amazing. Yesterday I decided to order a Centella Serum to add in as well, as i believe it can only help at this point, primarily because the serum is more powerful and effective, I’m assuming, due to the very high PPM of the Centella in it. I got the Purito Unscented Centella Serum, mainly because my experience with their cream has been amazing. They’re both incredibly affordable. I’d like to try the other brands sometime as well, like from CosRX, and La Roche Cicaplast Baumé that I’ve heard so much about. Anyway, in a nutshell, if you’re having bad irritation with your Tretinoin, I highly recommend getting some Centella from one of the brands I mentioned. I bet you see amazing results.
It’s not that simple: 100% CA is a plant in the bottle. The plant needs to be converted to its active compounds which then need to be converted to something that can be processed by the skin. There will never be 100% of any botanical matter in a product unless it’s the actual plant, leaves or powdered version of either. The compounds need to be extracted. Extraction means you need to add other materials to it to suck out the good stuff. That already caused dilution. Then the good stuff needs to be tested for efficacy and safety. At high % a compound can become toxic (the dose makes the difference) and maximum efficacy is reached at a sweet spot range, anything from let’s say 0.5% and 5% of the TOTAL extract of which CA is only 1 of the inclusions. The highest % does not equal the best product. The whole formula must work together and deliver the desired results. The laboratory who manufactured the extract will have its own efficacy study to explain at which sweet spot maximum efficacy is achieved. There is a point of diminishing returns: adding more extract doesn’t imply an equivalent increase in efficacy.
Cica has been ok for my sensitive skin with papopustular rosacea (also hyperpigmentation prone). The only product I have it in now is the Regimen Lab Wave Serum in the form of TECA (Centella Asiatica Pentacyclic Terpenes). I just ordered the whole kit due to a sale. Fingers crossed.
I'm very, very new to skincare, but I already hate the fads. I mean, every time something new is The Thing, it's put in everything in ever larger quantities. I did quite a bit of research before starting as I've noticed changes in my skin due to age, illness, and medicines, and didn't want to just throw stuff on willy-nilly. But I find it difficult to find products with different ingredients to not double or triple the amount of certain things. If it's the same thing in everything, it'll be difficult to know whether or not it's actually good or bad for my skin. So, centella, niacinamide, hyalo acid etc can be good AND irritating.
❤ - I panicked a little when I saw the video title! I just bought 5 items from Skin1004 at Winners and just started incorporating it in my everyday routine. And I watch your videos while I am doing my nighttime routine, so I was about to apply it when I started this video. So far my skin loves it so I am going to keep using it.

Interesting topic! Centella asiatica is actually my favorite ingredient from Korean skincare. I`m currently using Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Probio-Cica Intensive Ampoule, with centella as a first ingredient in the ingredients list, so I do hope it is not just 5%. What is your opinion about Mary & May Centella Asiatica Serum? They are still adveritsing that it contains 95% centella asiatica extract. Are the new regulations already in effect? Can I trust that it is 95% centella? What do you think?

I have the Skin 1004 serum and use it with my vitamin C - it is a generous size bottle so lasts for ages. The fact it said extract it was pretty obvious it was diluted…but as I have sensitive skin I don’t mind less concentrated serums. I do agree clearer labelling is an improvement though.
Rosacea, sensitive skin types centella asciatica are best friends. I will never be without it. My true love ♥️
Yay I am so so glad its working so well for you.. sending you lots of love x
pair it with propolis extract the cosrx perfect combo for me
Transparency in skincare is always a good thing. 😊
Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts x
Indeed no skincare is 100% even if it's pure water it needs preservative in it.
@@jenniferh.7219 I would never ever use any temu product on my body. You never know if it is safe. There is no regulation or control.
@@jenniferh.7219pay attention to China product as their SA content can be much higher than stated. My sis end up in hospital after using China live stream cerave. ❤️Centella has really helped my skin and the purito centella unscented serum has been one of my holy grail serums.
Same, the best for reactive skin. ❤
Preach!!!
Same here for the Purito Centella Unscented Serum! A game changer!!
hey hun, how are you? I havent used the purito one for ages but it always worked well for me too.. love xx
❤ I use the purito one too, alongside my vitamin c....
my favorite calming products:
• numbuzin 1 calming toner
• numbuzin 4 sos sheet mask
• dr g blemish sheet mask
all of these get rid of minor redness, and helps stop irritated skin that feels like it’s about to break out (which happens to me a lot by end of the day)
I think in all fairness to the brands, they were incentivised to do this because of consumers always thinking a higher percentage is better when it is not necessarily so. Really high percentages of actives or plant extracts can be irritating, but consumers are always looking for the highest percentages. I'm glad the regulation has changed, but personally I wouldn't blame any individual brand as if one brand said 100% and they said 5%, they wouldn't get sales
How are you hun, I do think this is some part of it for sure.. love x
Agreed - from another perspective though, I was actually avoiding the skin1004 centella serum because I was like... "that high of a percentage will fuck me up for sure!"
But knowing that the percentage is a lot lower now makes me a little more inclined to try it out, especially since i like their centella ampoule foam cleanser so much
Couldn't have clicked any quicker on this x
Haha thank you so much hun x
Vegreen is my go to since day one, since I started taking an interest in my skin care - which is because I stumbled upon the Mad About Skin channel.
Now that being said: I'm an equestrian in Ohio and typically covered in dust. If the Vegreen is working I have no idea. I'm always red and irritated! But that doesn't matter. What matters to me is the outstanding advocacy that the Mad About Skin channel provides to the public. Rob is a caring man and an ethical man and his content is of the highest quality. Love you Sir. All of us over here in the hunter jumper community adore you. Big smooch.
Oh thank you so much hun, thats so kind of you to say and it means a lot to me.. Love you x
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and sending you lots of love x
Your shirt is lovely! Perfect colours for a warm summer! 🌄🌇🌞
Oh thank you so much hun thats so kind of you to say.. love x
PS: I hope the party was awesome. 😊🦩
❤❤Thank you, I’ve been looking for a good cica serum & unfortunately a lot of them have niacinimide or essential oils, which really irritate my sensitive skin!
My pleasure hun and sending you so much love x
❤I loved almost all the product based on centella that I used and I've just ordered another ampoule of Skin 1004...
Is it the pore minimising one you have ordered as that is my personal favourite :) love x
I have purchased almost all the products in the skin1004 Centella line. Their cleanser duo and their ampoule have been such a great help. My acne has nearly disappeared thanks to them.
If this is the end of them, that’s sad news for me.
I don't think this will affect their sales/rep. They have enough loyal customers that have seen huge improvement using their products
Agreed. My hormone acne calms down significantly and combining with other actives I’m proud to say I’ve cleared my skin!
What ampoule you are using? There’s a lot! 😢
@@Alex-zs2im I use the original, but honestly they're all good. The only ones I won't repurchase is the Tea-Trica one and the 2 hyalu-cica ones
@@Alex-zs2im I use the “Centella 100% ampoule” the one with a yellow orange colour. It’s so good for calming the skin and giving hydration. I have sensitive skin and this products skin soothing/ protection, was a massive reason why products like retinol don’t affect me.
if anyone is still interested in centella, the brand One Thing’s 100% centella toner is really nice. it’s naturally brown/tea colored and even has a natural smell
reminds me of the I’m From Mugwort which i thought was a little too overpriced for what it is
❤ still got an unopened bottle of vegreen somewhere in the cupboard that I had forgotten about so I will now dig it out and use it, thanks for the reminder x
Yeah get it dug out as it's fabulous lol.. hope it works well for you Hun xxx
Haha I know right lol but I think this is a good set of regulations to increase transparency.. love x
This is a good change! I always questioned this Korean way of listing ingredients
I know right, I think this is a good change xx
The new purito serum with green lid is amazing!
I'll still be using ❤
I love the skin1004 Madagascar centella toner.
Oh I am sorry to hear this but it makes perfect sense .. thanks for watching and sending you lots of love x
Thats a great option for sure.. sending you lots of love x
Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts x
❤ I was part of a test program for the Skin 1004 Centella serum and I've repurchased since. It's super lightweight and soothing for me. I use it as a day serum after Rx Tretinoin at night.
I love it and it works well for me.. I wish they were a little more transparent thats all but that must have been so cool to be part of the test program.. love x
Which skin1004 serum you use
@@Tabassumchaity-w8f The original Centella Extract one.
Just looked it up… the price tho. 💸💸💸
@@TaylorOwen Yes, its dreadful expensive, I should have mentioned that....
I will have to check it out. thanks for the recommendation x
❤ I can't say I feel cheated...I used COSRX pure fit cica serum, I could never figure out how the percentage was but was fairly happy with it.
Then I switched to vegreen which I find quite a bit better.
As I now want to consolidate HA and Niacinimide, I found
Skin 1004 - Madagascar Centella Hyalu - Cica blue serum.
Thank you for watching hun and I hope you enjoy the vegreen one. love x
❤. VeGreen is my one and only. Good on you for being transparent. I use it everyday and my skin loves it. Thanks Rob ❤
My pleasure hun and I am so so glad its working for you hun. love x
❤ I think that centella is great, I use it regularly! I'm glad that there is going to be more transparency in Korean skincare, I've definitely been confused by it in the past. At one point I was scared that I had bought a fake Anua Heartleaf Toner, because the ingredients list showed that houttuynia cordata extract was the fifth ingredient, not the first 😆
I agree with you totally hun xx
Thank you so much for your honesty.. it's been bothering me for a while now.

Oh amazing I am so so glad its working for you hun and thank you for your complement about the shirt :) love you x
I agree hun I would love to see all brands being a little more transparent with things like this.. love x
Their oil cleanser saved my dry skin when nothing else would. I love it. I was so worried you were going to say it was bad for your health or something.
Oh no there is nothing wrong with it, just maybe a little on the misleading side but I say if I works for you then keep on using it for sure x
Love love love centella. Just reordered the PURITO B5 panthenol re-barrier cream. Its amazing. I layer it on top of a bifida ampoule. ❤
There's a video in Stylekorean where they highlighted Skin1004 and interviewed someone from the company. She did mention about their 100% Centella ampoule. I wonder if you watched it and your comment on it. Love your shirt by the way. X❤X❤

Oh thank you so much Hun and your support means so much to me.. that's a great idea for a video thank you.. love x
I think Vegreen cica serum is equalilly misleading as skin1004. Vegreen just mention about 70% centella asiatica water, but does not mention how much of the active ingrdients is in the water. The concentration of the active ingredients are a question mark as well?
❤ Still use the Skin1004 centella asiatica ampoule. Helps with hydration and no irritation...
I think it works well for sure and is well priced for the amount you get.. love x

Hey hun, how are you? I agree with you the size of the skin1004 products is amazing and make them almost like a body product for sure.. love x
Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts x
I am using CICA cream constantly, however, not in my daily routine, but for irritation and wounds, so basically as a medication 😅 And it helps really great with healing!

WAWW, This new labeling /regulation information seems Very Significant. However, perhaps 'the proof is in the pudding' meaning once the product is effective, does it really matter as much, what percentages of ingredients are in there🤔. Thanks for letting us know, keep well 🙏💌
I agree hun.. thank you so much for watching and sending love x

I dont think its a bad product even though we know the concentration it still worked well for me .. love x

My skin loves it. I’ve been using cica for quite a long while and it’s great.

You look good in that crazy shirt thankyou for all that you do.

Oh thats wonderful and I am so glad they have worked so well for you.. I really like the brand actually have done for a long time :) xx

I would swap out the skin 1004 for the Vegreen but…. Vegreen is$18 us but Canadian $37. 😮. Love the video. Maybe if it goes on sale. 😀🇨🇦
Oh that's such a shame but I totally understand that and fingers crossed for a sale. love xx
I hope it works for you hun.. sending you lots of love x
Good to hear that after all Centella Asiatica is still okay in most products. Transparency is key! Everyone should follow Vegreen!
I agree Hun vegreen are leading the way here xx
LOVE THE SHIRT 😍
Oh thank you so much hun.. love x
Purito Centella unscented serum FTW!!! 💙 and I still love the Skin 1004 blue centella serum
Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts x
❤ - I panicked a little when I saw the video title! I just bought 5 items from Skin1004 at Winners and just started incorporating it in my everyday routine. And I watch your videos while I am doing my nighttime routine, so I was about to apply it when I started this video. So far my skin loves it so I am going to keep using it.
Purito wonder relief unscented, it's fabulous, the SPF in the same range is also amazing 😍
Oh I need to try them, thank you so much for the heads up.. love x

@@MadAboutSkincompletely! Every time that I found that the brand not only delivers but they are cruelty free and ethical I'll change to them in a heartbeat!! I refuse to buy non cruelty free skincare (and honestly every thing that is not cruelty free.vif I can avoid it I will)❤❤❤ love your content and your bubbly happy personality! I can really relate! You're much appreciated!
Love from Portugal 🇵🇹🫶🏻
I loved iunik centella range but I must be allergic to it. It burned my cheeks so their more sensitive now then ever. Gutted so just trying to by from my local boots and stopping ordering from aboard
Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts x
Interesting topic! Centella asiatica is actually my favorite ingredient from Korean skincare. I`m currently using Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Probio-Cica Intensive Ampoule, with centella as a first ingredient in the ingredients list, so I do hope it is not just 5%. What is your opinion about Mary & May Centella Asiatica Serum? They are still adveritsing that it contains 95% centella asiatica extract. Are the new regulations already in effect? Can I trust that it is 95% centella? What do you think?
You need to check out Purito unscented centella serum ❤ it's a game changer! 😊❤
Love it, havent used it in a while but loved the formulation x
@@MadAboutSkin they updated the formula for some months ago, with more centella. ❤❤❤
