I never got on board with the Inkey List Oat Balm Cleanser. I just feel like it doesn't wash off easily, which is a bummer. And yes, the separation is annoying.
I too love the Oat Cleansing Balm. My issues happened in reverse to yours though. My first bottle would separate fairly bad but if I shook it, it would be fine. Every bottle since has been fine. No shaking required. The inconsistencies with the product do raise a question or two though

Hi Rob I love a cleansing milk or a cleansing oil, but I have super dry skin. I don't always double cleanse, unless I have a full face of makeup or multiple layers of spf. I'm currently using the Bioderma sensibio misceller water to remove eye makeup and the Avene face and body oil cleanser to remove face makeup. I also love the Avene antirougours regreshing cleansing milk, which is the most gentle cleanser that works alone on my hyper reactive skin. I can even use it during a rosacea flare, when most things sting/burn. I like the LRP toleraine hydrating cleanser and the Aveeno calm and restore too, but prefer the Avene. Gel cleansers that foam are a Summer only thing for me - even the gentle ones. The oat balm is fine for me (not my favourite, but performs well enough), but it can separate a bit sometimes. I also like the dear Klairs unscented cleansing oil and the Purito from green cleansing oil (both fragrance free). Cleansers are a functional item for me truthfully and just need to clean the skin without irritation. Best wishes.

Love love Dr Sam’s Flawless Cleanser….just wish it were less expensive. Works out to be about $25 with conversion and shipping☹️. Would love to find a dupe with that plush texture
My favourite cleanser is the MAS cleanser - does not dry out my skin. Love it 🥰 If I have a full face of make up I use the DHC oil cleanser first and the MAS second.
First Bioderma micellar water, then Wishtrend's oil cleanser. Soooo soft. Soooo soothing. My supersensitive eyes are wide open when using this oil. Leaves the skin soft, clean and nourished. Love it!
I really love the Purito cleanser! I have super sensitive skin, so fragrance-free is a must, and it's never caused any stinging or sensitivity for me. And I actually really like the scent, it smells like Dove soap to me. I don't wear makeup, so it's generally enough on its own
The MAS cleanser is my holy grail!! I’ve never experienced a cleanser so luxurious. I actually look forward to using it! I’m waiting for the new products to launch before I restock so I hope they come soon haha.
I’m the opposite! I actually hated the Inkey list balm because I felt I was filmy and I had to use very warm water to remove it, which, not good for my skin. But I decided to switch to it (well, *a* balm, this just happened to be the most inexpensive one that met my criteria) when I realised how much regular cleansing oils were stripping my face, idk why, I know it is the same mechanism as a balm, from oil to milk when it hits the water. So I switched to the oat balm and used a washable cloth to make sure it wasn’t hanging around my hairline plus the cerave cream-to-foam as a second cleanser and it’s been golden. I do have sensitive easily dehydrated skin AND I’m on adapalene for anti aging though so… it’s always separated on me btw, I just massage it in the tube and ti seems to help. Thanks for the heads up about the Purito cleanser stinging I was thinking of getting it bc I’m running low on the cerave. But I just had LASIK surgery, which means I’m producing very few tears and I think it would have been a nightmare if it’d gotten in my eyes in these conditions. It’s temporary but right now my eyeballs perpetually feel like I’ve been unblinkingly staring at a screen for about 16h.
Lol dont worry I dont hate it and I really really loved the original but for some reason this keeps on separating on me this time which is such a shame.. love you hun xxxxx

I somehow managed to collect like 12 cleansers. It’s going to take me forever to use them. I think I have a bit of a problem lol. I’m just sad nobody ever talks about one of my absolute favorite first cleansers- Tonymoly apricot cleansing oil. I have no idea why. It’s about $10 on Stylevana and it smells amazing as well as being a really beautiful oil cleanser.

Although I’m always on the hunt for products I haven’t tried which are better than the ones I use; I am super happy with my cleansers. I use the Heimish All Green clean gel cleanser in the morning and my Holy Grail Hada Labo cleansing oil in the evening. Both are completely unscented, both rinse off cleanly without leaving a residue; both are reasonably priced and on the odd occasion when I need to double cleanse, they work together beautifully. Oh and best of all, the Hada Labo oil comes in refill packs; I think I am probably on my 4th refill. Win, win! 😀

My last bottle of the oat cleansing balm separated, but the current bottle has been fine so far. I do love it though. I also swear by the Juno for getting off all my makeup. I also use the Mad About Skin cleanser when I don't have much makeup to remove.

The oat cleansing balm is either a hit or mess depending on where you live it seems. When I ordered mine it wasn’t grainy and didn't separate, wasn’t super solid either so I tossed it in my skin fridge prior to using but I’ve heard from other people that theirs arrived grainy! 🥴So they’re definitely not consistent which is a bummer really and the reason I haven’t repurchased. I have to say, I love the MAS cleanser!!! It's amazing! I also enjoy The Ordinary's squalane cleanser as well. I'm so glad that people have learned that having "squeaky clean" skin is NOT the goal!!🥰❤️❤️❤️ I also just discovered that Pond's cold cream now has a fragrance free version!! I'm not going to admit how many years I've used this product, but now that I have sensitive skin, this is great news!!

I don’t like the oat cleansing balm. It does separate and if doesn’t emulsify well. Really was disappointed in it as I know people love it! I bet it’s a different formula.

Oh gosh, that purito cleanser never stung me, I use a tiny amount of like a pea size and rub it between my hands with water or with a soft silicone brush. I bought that cleanser months and months ago, before the sunscreen scandal, still not even halfway through. Edit; I never really use anything waterproof and I don't wear make up so I can't say anything about that.
I recently purchased a few cleansers, From the Inkey List I got the Fulvic Acid cleanser and the Salycilic Acid one... the first one I really liked... it really leaves my skin feeling bright, the other one I use it on my back.. I guess it's ok it's making my skin purge.. but it is very gelly It doesn't foam.. I also got the Haru Haru soft Cleanser and I really wanted to love it but.. I couldn't, it's ok it does the job but I was expecting something more.. Finally I tried the SKIN1004 Centella Asiatica cleanser and I enjoyed it a lot. I think it has good ingredients and I love how it feels. Thank u for the vid I'm always looking for recommendations :3
So I have had three tubes of the oat cleansing balm and actually all of them have had the separation issue. Also a slight grainy feel. I still kept purchasing, but now I’m just using the Elf holy hydration balm since it’s cheap and I prefer the texture.
I also find the inkey list separates! And the last bottle I had was actually split along the top of the bottle, so when I first used it, all the oils spurted out from the opposite end!!
I still like the oat cleansing balm but the current one I’m using has been separating too. But when I shake it, it doesn’t seem to do that. But it is kind of annoying. But I will keep purchasing it because it really moisturizes my skin!
Gave up on the TIL oat cleanser 'cause it was just such a faff to get out of the tube - too solid. Moved on to Jelly Joker which I like a lot but I'm currently using and loving your MAS cleanser. Also love JunoCo Clean 10.

I agree Rob.... the oat cleanser from the Inkey list is questionable..... for a long time... the product still is difficult to work with.... I use it as a cleanser AND as a facial mask... I think if it the product came in a jar.... maybe ....just maybe ...the product will be a little bit more user friendly.... just my opinion....

I like the Oat cleansing bomb, but I feel like I have to follow it with something else since I feel a film. I do love your cleanser as a second cleanse. I also do like TO Squalene cleanser and can’t wait til it goes 1/2 off in the ULTA 21 days of beauty lol 😂
I wouldn't be able to support the change in the Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm as i didn't use until recently, but yes, I agree with the separation of the product and it's not easy to spread around unless you use an immense amount of it.
I have been wanting to buy the Juno but my whole issue is with their only us site and the minimum amount. I wish they make it much more accessible. Any tips on how I could get it in Germany? And do you pay customs while ordering it?
I purchased the oat balm after watching your original "holy grail" review and it is disappointing, it is so solid I can hardly get it out of the tube. Not a win for me. I live in Canada and can't get all the products that you speak of.

That pat cleanser never worked for me (I tried several ways to apply and remove it,I’ve it, followed dozens of instructions). It just leaves a sticky, yucky film on my skin.
That's just crazy, I just mentioned in a previous video I was so bummed about the runny oat balm globbing out everywhere! At least I wasn't the only one who experienced it. My two favourites are MAS gentle jelly cleanser for calming/soothing mornings and my old friend LRP Effaclar foaming gel to give a deep cleanse in the evenings. I'm just impatiently waiting for LRP to go fully cruelty free so I can use it as my staple evening wash :-/
The oat cleansing balm was one of the first things I tried and yes, it separated like all get out. Haven't tried it since as it was a chore rather than an experience.

Mine separates sometimes, seems to depend on the temperature of my bathroom. Shaking it fixed it and I absolutely love it!

Wanted to like La Roche-Posay cleansers, but they have Niacinamide. Ugh, why, LRP, why? Stings my eyelids like cra-zazy!!!!

I don’t like the oat cleansing balm. It does separate and if doesn’t emulsify well. Really was disappointed in it as I know people love it! I bet it’s a different formula.

Oh gosh, that purito cleanser never stung me, I use a tiny amount of like a pea size and rub it between my hands with water or with a soft silicone brush. I bought that cleanser months and months ago, before the sunscreen scandal, still not even halfway through. Edit; I never really use anything waterproof and I don't wear make up so I can't say anything about that.

I recently purchased a few cleansers, From the Inkey List I got the Fulvic Acid cleanser and the Salycilic Acid one... the first one I really liked... it really leaves my skin feeling bright, the other one I use it on my back.. I guess it's ok it's making my skin purge.. but it is very gelly It doesn't foam..
I also got the Haru Haru soft Cleanser and I really wanted to love it but.. I couldn't, it's ok it does the job but I was expecting something more..
Finally I tried the SKIN1004 Centella Asiatica cleanser and I enjoyed it a lot. I think it has good ingredients and I love how it feels.

So I have had three tubes of the oat cleansing balm and actually all of them have had the separation issue. Also a slight grainy feel. I still kept purchasing, but now I’m just using the Elf holy hydration balm since it’s cheap and I prefer the texture.

I also find the inkey list separates! And the last bottle I had was actually split along the top of the bottle, so when I first used it, all the oils spurted out from the opposite end!!

I still like the oat cleansing balm but the current one I’m using has been separating too. But when I shake it, it doesn’t seem to do that. But it is kind of annoying. But I will keep purchasing it because it really moisturizes my skin!
I love it so so much I just wish they could be more consistent with it and stabilise the product... keeping my fingers crossed.. love you x

Gave up on the TIL oat cleanser 'cause it was just such a faff to get out of the tube - too solid. Moved on to Jelly Joker which I like a lot but I'm currently using and loving your MAS cleanser. Also love JunoCo Clean 10.

Yeah, I’ve had one the inkey list oat balms separate on me. I still repurchased because it doesn’t trigger any allergic reactions.

I agree Rob.... the oat cleanser from the Inkey list is questionable..... for a long time... the product still is difficult to work with.... I use it as a cleanser AND as a facial mask...
I think if it the product came in a jar.... maybe ....just
maybe ...the product will be a little bit more user friendly.... just my opinion....

Noooooo!! Robert! Not my IL Oat Cleansing Balm! 😩. I’ve never had a problem with separation, but I bought a couple tubes quite a while ago, so they might be an old formulation? My heart is broken. 😢

I like the Oat cleansing bomb, but I feel like I have to follow it with something else since I feel a film. I do love your cleanser as a second cleanse. I also do like TO Squalene cleanser and can’t wait til it goes 1/2 off in the ULTA 21 days of beauty lol 😂

I wouldn't be able to support the change in the Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm as i didn't use until recently, but yes, I agree with the separation of the product and it's not easy to spread around unless you use an immense amount of it.
Have you tried Jordan Samuel Skincare? They are supposed to have excellent cleansers but I can't find many UA-cam reviews on them.

I purchased the oat balm after watching your original "holy grail" review and it is disappointing, it is so solid I can hardly get it out of the tube. Not a win for me. I live in Canada and can't get all the products that you speak of.

My oat cleansing balm also separated in an unpleasant way and my bathroom is cold
I just think there are too many inconsistencies with the product to keep me using it which is a shame as when you get a good batch its great.. love you xxxx

That pat cleanser never worked for me (I tried several ways to apply and remove it,I’ve it, followed dozens of instructions). It just leaves a sticky, yucky film on my skin.
That's just crazy, I just mentioned in a previous video I was so bummed about the runny oat balm globbing out everywhere! At least I wasn't the only one who experienced it. My two favourites are MAS gentle jelly cleanser for calming/soothing mornings and my old friend LRP Effaclar foaming gel to give a deep cleanse in the evenings. I'm just impatiently waiting for LRP to go fully cruelty free so I can use it as my staple evening wash :-/

The oat cleansing balm was one of the first things I tried and yes, it separated like all get out. Haven't tried it since as it was a chore rather than an experience.
