- DJ Gerry visits a “proper” British pub in the Piccadilly Circus area of London.
In order to keep servicemen out of late night bars, since World War ll there was an ordinance that pubs need to shut down by 11:00 PM. There are a few pubs in the Soho district that have permits to stay open later.

Piccadilly Square I heard is a great place I hope you had fun. Thank you Gerry so much. I think it’s all about the culture. I visited Ireland in 2017, the culture was amazing. I loved the simplicity in living. And true nice people.

Ireland must have been very cool!! I am glad that you got to see Ireland. The only other European country I’ve seen was France. The culture in England was a lot of reserved, punctual and mostly very polite people. Lots of people walking on the sidewalks because it is very difficult to get a parking space in London.
Isn't it funny how Piccadilly circus looks nothing like Oxford Circus.
I've always wanted to go to a British pub! Did you order food? Was it really good? Did you try a sausage roll and fish and chips? Yummy I'm making myself hungry! 😂
Hi Tanya, I ordered fish and chips, which is about as common as hamburgers are in America. They do an amazing job on the breading and it is usually one massive piece of fish with some great tasting fries and a side order of mashed peas. It may be time to head to H. Salt Fish and Chips!!😅🍻

Oh my DELICIOUSNESS at it best. Ireland serves up the same . Their hamburgers are terrific, nothing like here in America! The real freshness of their food is unremarkable. Everything is pricey, but you get what you pay for.
That is not a proper British pub. In central London you're better off going to somewhere like The Wilton Arms or The Nags Head on Kinnerton Street
You're right, tourist rip offs. Personnally I would direct them somewhere like the Olde Mitre in Holborn. Still pricey though! If they can find it?
