- Over a century ago, excavators unearthed the image of an unknown ruler called King Scorpion. His name has intrigued experts ever since, but it’s only now that major new finds are bringing him to life. In the process they are opening up a whole new chapter at the dawn of Egyptian history. A scene carved on a desert rockface seems to celebrate King Scorpion’s conquest of Southern Egypt in an age before the Pharaohs, and the discovery of a tomb believed to be his suggests he was an innovative ruler who may have presided over the birth of Egyptian writing. Recent excavations are also showing that the Scorpion King’s world relied on the achievements of even earlier generations - from the pre-historic nomads who arrived in the Nile Valley after a period of dramatic climate change, to the rulers of Egypt’s first city who forged many of the prototypes for the glories that would follow.

9:53 Thats a cosmetics palette but why isn't it stained by the pigments that would have been used in cosmetics? Another example hasn't been shown so how do we know thats what it is or are they assuming again?
Name one tomb that has no artwork left with pigment from the times due to floods etc, then think where they found it ie out in the open left to the elements. I agree with what else you said as in are they assuming it was used to mix pigments as it is one flashy paint tray unless it was for a scribe & i have been painting for 50 odd yrs & still prefer a plate out of the cupboard.
@@paulcreed-r2n Yes, lack of staining is not the only questionable issue with the piece that is otherwise undamaged, no chips or cracks and in perfect condition after being found inside a temple and not left out in the open elements. What they don't tell us is that the piece is 2 feet long how would anyone need any cosmetics palette that is that big is beyond me. Its also made of siltstone which is porous therefore susceptible to staining. The whole thing is very odd. As an artist myself I've been working with a variety of different paints, inks and dyes for decades and understand the Sun is a powerful bleaching agent. None of this makes sense.

This is complete nonsense
We think he was the Ethiopian pygmy dwarf depicted on the Narmer tablet to the right of him (with the snake or scorpion bracelet with the Punt flower and the cave). We think this man painted himself a fertility god. That he and his community of Punt helped Narmer defeat Ka and Ha and their agricultural settlement (bird tribe) and setup the cat tribe and create Egypt (cats eat birds). That the table shows his dwarf wife birthed his child, a cat child, and two children figureheads for the former rulers Ka and Ha....and divided the territories amongst those four kids. We think Narmer was placed as a figurehead for their peoples to puppet him.
We think that Ha might have been Ham. That he 'joined Ka and Iry-Hor's agricultural community' (These THREE all used bird symbols. So they were of the same peoples. ) when Punt took the Mesopotamian lands (coming from India or Qeshm Island...Qeshm had that Snake skin cave...that matches Scorpion's carving symbols). That these four kids depicted on the Narmer Tablet of Scorpion's queen were considered Ham's four sons (sons of his territory that he would have been responsible for) who divided the territories of Upper and Lower Egypt, Caanan and Mesopotamia amongst themselves as rulers. Were they HALF Ethiopian dwarfs? Were they Jews? Or Indians?
We think these Punt folks were either from the Horn of Africa, or India. That they enslaved the peaceful agricultural white communities living in Mesopotamia and made them into Middle Eastern half-breeds. To produce farm and domesticated animal food for their peoples who had overconsumed their animal population due to overpopulation. They created slaves and fertility temples / concubine brothels....that became Arab in origin. Mongols and Chinese Eastern Asians also used this 'brothel / concubine' pattern. IT implies either an Asian origin or later push into that territory. This is what created the global overpopulation. This push to USE fertility temples (brothels) creating slaves for sale, soldiers and sons to take territories because all these men wanted was sex and to be fed by someone else's peoples. Roman's adopted this pattern into their culture AFTER they were conquered by middle eastern Persians. That's when they turned the greek gods depictions of Apollo and Hermes into beautiful naked youths (after 800-500 BC). As if they were selling these boys in the brothels.
