Technically, Fenkoplet was the first one to come up with the idea, Claire just broadcasted it to everyone 🧐 so you should probably credit her too

sarah zhao she’s not crediting who started it, she’s crediting who she found out this technique from and who helped her further. That’s how it’s done, you credit who you found it from.

@@chubbypastry3516 why do people think fenkoplet came up with the idea? 😂 It's a very widely used technique, she just happened to make a video on it, it's not her original creation. I thanked Claire because she helped me out, that's it

Thanks for the color changing technique! I've already been doing the straight edges knots, but the color changing is super helpful and makes so much sense! I like to use tacky glue on my ends because I can stick them down in multiple directions. I've never had an issue with them coming through but I don't like the way they fuzz up without the glue, especially when you have a bunch in one place. I've also done key chains and reversible bracelets by stitching two alpha patterns together back to back!

It’s just a theory but maybe they used a technique similar to the one in the video when switching the string (knotting the background color string between the first knot of the new color) but instead of only doing it for the switch they do it with the other knots too if that makes sense?

@@Ghost-angy Yes I just tried it with my alpha and It worked perfectly. Ok... I have a dumb dumb moment I need to admit to. I've been doing alphas for years... years!! I convinced myself that the base strings where the second color and the lead string was the background color. I could never figure out why it took me so long to do a bracelet and why it took so many tries to get it right. After watching this video for thee.. 5th time I realized I was making things harder on myself by using my base strings for my second color.... I tried doing this technique with mindless base strings and two lead strings and... it's a whole new day. It worked but it was the definition of work harder not smarter... the reason I wanted to comment about this is because I feel like that i learned that from a post or a picture or video, some how I got the idea that's how it was done, but lemme just tell you... imma be turning these out for people like nothing now!!

I cut my unused lead string too. Before I cut though I use a double knot with a neighboring string to secure the strings.

How interesting. I’ve never considered changing the way to do the colour changes.... Also, I started typing this while you were still talking and then you said ‘thank you Claire’ and I was like ppffffttt explanation enough right there. She is the alpha master.

I don’t understand Russian but I went to Fenkoplet account and saw the technique. I understood the visual but not the vocal, obviously 😂 and I got the first half right. Thanks to this video in English I realized my mistake in what I was doing wrong.
Great video been trying to find one in English or in Chinese since those are the only two languages that I know! 😂
