I just downloaded braceletbook yesterday and feel like a total noob. Now I’m here to learn how to make an alpha bracelet after making normal bracelets for 4 years.Yes, I lived under a rock.I never knew there were alpha bracelets.😭
Me too I also have a shop and sell my bracelets but I always used to avoid alpha because it's clearly hard... but now it's time to learn everything and move on to next level
I’m in the process of making my first normal friendship bracelet when I realized there is a whole world of bracelet designs out there! I was so excited to get started making alpha patterns I came straight to this video!!!! Thanks I can’t wait to make my first alpha!!!!
oh my god, this thing with putting the leading string into that half knot is SOOO helpful, thank you! I always had the problem of my leading string 'squeezing' the other color and making it kinda wiggly since I pull pretty hard, this will finally help me!
You’ve been my idol since I started making more advanced bracelets. I have gone from making my self a bracelet, to making a friend a bracelet, to having the whole lunch table a bracelet. So now I have to make like 5 bracelets 😓
Thank you so much Masha, I've been doing macrame for almost 10 years and still did not know how to make these Alpha bracelets, I have had a special order after an almost year long pause and depression, so it was quite an empowering learning experience to make custom designs and learn how to weave "backwards" as I call it, as I have revamped my life. You've been part of this journey and great learning curve and for that I am forever grateful. Thanks for helping me step up my game sistar! All the love to you

I have always made normal patterns, but really wanted to try alphas, and with your help I think I am doing a pretty good job. Thanks for the color changing technique! I've already been doing the straight edges knots, but the color changing is super helpful and makes so much sense! I like to use tacky glue on my ends because I can stick them down in multiple directions. I've never had an issue with them coming through but I don't like the way they fuzz up without the glue, especially when you have a bunch in one place. I've also done key chains and reversible bracelets by stitching two alpha patterns together back to back!

@Sidney Lauren for some reason whenever I try to do that, you can barely see the colors and it just looks really messy but maybe I just need to work on my technique

I did see one person on Instagram who’s alphas didn’t have any loose threads on the back... I wonder if they have a technique to hide them or if they just clip off all the threads 🤔 will need to find them again and ask...
It’s just a theory but maybe they used a technique similar to the one in the video when switching the string (knotting the background color string between the first knot of the new color) but instead of only doing it for the switch they do it with the other knots too if that makes sense?
@@Ghost-angy Yes I just tried it with my alpha and It worked perfectly. Oh my goodness I've been having that problem where the pattern pops out and wondered if there was some technique for it. And there is I'm am so gonna try this for my next alpha bracelet! Thank u so muuuuuch!❤❤
Ok... I have a dumb dumb moment I need to admit to. I've been doing alphas for years... years!! I convinced myself that the base strings where the second color and the lead string was the background color. I could never figure out why it took me so long to do a bracelet and why it took so many tries to get it right. After watching this video for thee.. 5th time I realized I was making things harder on myself by using my base strings for my second color.... I tried doing this technique with mindless base strings and two lead strings and... it's a whole new day. It worked but it was the definition of work harder not smarter... the reason I wanted to comment about this is because I feel like that i learned that from a post or a picture or video, some how I got the idea that's how it was done, but lemme just tell you... imma be turning these out for people like nothing now!!

12:46 normal color change
19:04 color change right on the edge

I’ve needed this tip for soooooo long
Thank you Masha
