A cool thing you can also do with the loose strings, is to fill them with beads! I'm honestly surprised beads aren't widely used in the community.

I usually do about a meter and it works pretty well :)
Half an arm's length PER STRING but I usually fold them in half, so an arm's length folded in half is the same.

I always cut my strings an arms length and over to the opposite arms shoulder then double it!

You could make a scalloped bracelet if you made the shape parts on one side but not the other!

I'm still having a really hard time knowing how to segment knot. I've watched your video(s) on it many times and cant seem to figure out
For me, when i first started segment knotting, i found it easier to just start the pattern row by row and then began segment knotting whenever i felt comfortable. I also started with some thinner patterns. The only other thing i could tell you is that just look for a place where there are 2+ of the same kind of knot and complete those, and also to look for places that need to be completed before you can work on a part next to it. I hope this helped!

Ok... I just went on UA-cam here and typed into the search bar "shaped friendship bracelets" & this was the first, apparently "most popular" (or its at least the most viewed...??) video that came up for what I searched for- and I HAVE watched/"used" a couple of her videos to learn how to make some bracelets BEFORE & was quite happy with them!!!
But, I kinda have a feeling that these "Shaped" style ones are NOT exactly going to be very easy... Particularly because I noticed that pretty much EVERY video I saw that was a tutorial on this "subject" or type of bracelet was about 15-20mins. long... Vs. the FAR less scary "5-8min" length ones for the easier or Intermediate level Bracelet designs?!
Sooo. Ive read some comments down here before even starting the video & I AM, SO FAR, still feeling pretty "positive" over all about this whole shebang & whatever this what-is-VERY-like to become an absolute train wreck of a DISASTER for ME, anyway...
But. Ohhh well!!! Because pretty much every since I really SAW my first real "Shaped" bracelet like this, i KNEW I would EVENTUALLY try to learn how to do one myself, too, dammit!!

Sho how long are the strings? Why fo the patterns never hace the string lengths? How would you guess there lengths? Whose feeling to start a bracelet and half way you realize not enough...

Lol who else was working on this bracelet during this video. Is there a way to do loops for a bracelet like this?
Yes! You would do a normal loop but make it longer because you would end up with the ends of the loop touching each other (if that makes sense) and then you would start with the triangle end.
