CAN'T BELIEVE I WAITED 9 YEARS TO MAKE THIS PATTERN! [CC]

  • I have FINALLY made a Greek Wave friendship bracelet pattern after too many years! Due to such popular demand, I am also finally uploading my own tutorial (even though there are already so many tutorials on UA-cam by now). This pattern is actually much easier to segment knot than it seems, but I still hope to bring you great quality in teaching you how to make it!
    Here is the original pattern: friendship-bracelets.net/patt...
    TIMESTAMPS
    ➥ Intro 0:00
    ➥ Strings/Colors & Measurements 1:07
    ➥ String Setup 2:09
    ➥ Tutorial (and repeating the pattern) 2:31
    ➥ Straight Edges Technique: 12:09

    Dude this is the 100th tutorial I’ve seen for this bracelet. My dyslexic ass couldn’t get a grasp on the method they used, or worse they would use very similar colored strings, confusing me further.
    So thanks for this video.
    I actually managed to make a damn decent looking bracelet this time lol.

    This tutorial is the best! The colors you chose were so easy to see. I second everything that everyone else is saying, yours is the easiest tutorial to understand. I'm so glad I didn't give up!

      No no don't say thank you . I mean it's my very first time to see your video and I tried this tutorial and really realized that how much effort does it take, Literally my shoulders , neck , back get started paining after I sitted for few minutes really it takes lots of hardwork and there is very little value of these things in market . 🙏🙏🙏 If you have Instagram ID please let me know so that I can see your dope artworks

    What type of loop did u do at the top or how were u planning on tying it together?

    • @Craftanatic
      @Craftanatic  3 роки тому +2

      I didn’t do a loop at all, I just left strings long on both ends so I can just braid them. It is possible to do a loop with an odd number of strings but it’s a lot more tedious compared to just leaving having tails on both sides.

    It's a beautiful bracelet but I will never make it again. I had so many issues halfway through, although I know it was my doing , I just can't bring myself to try it again. But everybody else's looks awesome

    • @Craftanatic
      @Craftanatic  3 роки тому +2

      I totally understand where you’re coming from. There are times where I severely mess up on patterns and I never make them again because I was too frustrated. Knotting takes a ton of practice and sometimes you just have to give up one project for a new one. I hope someday, though, that you’ll want to come back to this pattern again and make a wonderful-looking bracelet. ☺️

    ive cut all my strings to 36 inches... but how would i make a loop, i feel like folding them is going to make the strings way too short but (i may be wrong) there was nothing mentioned in the video about how to tie it.. im confused rn and scared i might have just wasted loads of string😩

    • @jiyhaayah2912

      omg im so dumb i just realised😭😭😭😭😭

    • @Craftanatic
      @Craftanatic  3 роки тому

      Oh yeah, I didn’t talk about loops in this video because of the odd number of strings and it would just be too complicated to have to explain. I hope you got it worked out by now, though, and didn’t waste any of your string!!

    Das macht mich schon aggressiv beim gucken! Hundert Videos, aber keines, das dir vernünftig erklärt, wie jedes einzelne Band vor oder zurück geknüpft wird. Ob man von 3 über 2 geht oder von 1 über 2 etc.
    Und jeder macht das anders! Am Ende kommt nur Schwumpf bei raus und ich schmeisse wieder irgend etwas aus dem Fenster!!!

    This pattern is greek to me😂🥲 for some reason, I can't process the constant switching of the strings. I've tried two different tutorials and have wasted a bit string sadly. What can you do with string scraps?

    • @Craftanatic
      @Craftanatic  Рік тому +2

      You can always just (very tediously) undo all of your knots and try again with the string you already cut so that it’s not wasted! I have a tin full of scrap thread but in all honestly I don’t even use it. 😅 but it’s good to save if you make alphas and you need to make just a few knots in a specific color.
