I heard this song in the grocery store this week. It had been so long since I'd heard it. I sang along unashamed. His voice is so amazing and the lyrics are really powerful. I wish he would release some new material!
He is very talented. Like me he comes from Southampton. Like me he is a vegan. He is one of the few musicians who can write it, compose it, arrange it, sing it, record it and play it. He is totally authentic. This is one of my all time favorite songs. I like the slightly ambiguous and highly poetic lyrics which can mean different things to different people at different times. A bit like Steely Dan lyrics. And he likes classical music as well it appears. I am old enough to have loved his music in the eighties and I still love it today.
As a teen I learned more from Howard's albums than I ever did in School, he continues to educate and entertain me to this day (I'm 46 now) all his music and lyrics I can go to anytime and find something new to think about.
