    Colles fracture requiring ORIF surgery just a few weeks ago 😞. Looking through your guys’ videos to help safely build my strength and mobility back in other areas so I can hopefully be back on the slopes one day. Thanks for these!

    I broke my right humerus with clean horizontal fracture from snowboarding because I was dumb. I thought to myself, let's see how fast I can go? The problem was I did this before I knew how to fully control my board. I do not recommend breaking bones.
    Doctor took a look at my broken arm x-ray and she was impressed that I got a clean horizontal fracture, no surgery needed. My arm is now fine and fully healed, though!

      Holy smokes! That sounds incredibly painful! Breaking bones is no fun but happy you’re healed! Out of curiosity did you get physical therapy for that?

    I have a shoulder/neck injury that is potentially from snowboarding. The symptoms got alot worse over the last few years, and have turned in to neuropathy and numbness and tingling in my left hand. Burning sensations and nerve pain in my tricep and the back of my shoulder and in my armpit behind my pectoral muscle. I have been to many doctors. Had x rays on my cervical and thoracic spine, ultrasounds on both glenohumeral joints, physio and massage therapy weekly(was causing more pain and not really any relief) I have just seen a specialist for a nerve conduction study and they told me I have carpel tunnel... but that isn't what is causing me the list of symptoms I have. I have lost 2 jobs over this impeding my ability to work properly. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Always have pain in my rhomboid muscles area and under the scapula, and my neck is always stiff and sore and there is ALWAYS at least one direction that pains me to look (up down left or right.)

      Seems like if nothing is broken or torn open I just get told I'm fine. 🤷 it's driving me crazy I've dealt with this slowly getting worse for 6 years now

    You were say that you shouldn’t extend your arm when you fall then how should you fall?

    • @MobilityDuo
      @MobilityDuo  3 роки тому +1

      Hey KC! Good question man. As tempting as this is, its 'safer' to keep those arms tucked in or close to the body when taking a spill. This definitely needs to be trained as extending our arms is an early habit most of us do. We may try to make a video on this later.

    Do you have any videos about the injuries suffered by snowboarders when they only have one leg strapped in? I have seen a higher amount of idiots claiming they don’t need stomp pads. Knee tears suck.

      I don't have any videos on the one legged strap! That's a great suggestion though. Agreed!
