Piraeus (Olympiacos home) is the biggest port in Greece located just outside the center of Athens, Panathinaikos is the "Athenian" club along with AEK but they are basically the two fanbases fighting for dominance in the area. It doesn't get much crazier than those derbies as the players themselves have stated in these videos. And historically they have both been elite clubs in Europe so the best players have played in those derbies which always ads to the level

Καλά χαλάρωσε. Όλος ο κόσμος έχει να λέει για τους οπαδούς μας και εσύ κράζεις. Σίγουρα πολλά περιστατικά δεν θα πρέπει να γίνονται αλλά άλλο οι οργανωμένοι και άλλο οι απλοί φίλαθλοι. Η ατμόσφαιρα στο γήπεδο δεν βγαίνει από 1 κερκίδα. Ή έχεις έδρα ή όχι. Απλά είναι για τους Αμερικανούς άλλη φάση γιατί εκεί είναι επιχειρήσεις όχι ομάδες. Στην Ευρώπη τη πονάς την ομάδα. Στην Αμερική έχουν φύγει ομάδες από μια πόλη και έχουν πάει σε άλλη και κανένας δεν είπε τίποτα (βλέπε Sonics). Στην Ευρώπη είναι αδιανόητο να γίνει αυτό γιατί πολύ απλά η ομάδα είναι συνδεδεμένη με την περιοχή. Υπάρχει άλλη κουλτουρα, υπάρχει αγάπη και πάθος (και φυσικά υπερβολική αγάπη και μίσος). Οι ομάδες πρεσβευουν πράγματα στην Ευρώπη.
