i swear, this game makes it where you eyes can look in seperate directions i remember one time i was going through chimney to industrial with a child and i let them go so they can go eat some batflies, and im focusing in on a fight with a pink lizard, and for some reason my hand makes me jump away over a death pit and onto the other side, and it took me like 3 seconds to realise i just saved my kid from falling to their death- i think my right brain is mother coded-
Slugpups are programmed to have a maximum intelligence below the zero, therefor they are by law not allowed to do tech like jumping, or long jumps or backflips and whatnot. They physically can do all of that, just mentally they can't
You can teach a slugpup to backflip by doing it in front of them enough times. SlugNPCs physically cannot slide, downwards/upwards throw, or hold two items at once. I know this because I spawned a Gourmand NPC in Safari to explore the final Journey's End room with and was shocked at all the movement tech i was cut off from.

Elite Scavs don't jump to anywhere, they just try not to jump in a pit. They never use the jump to get around the map, only to kill/dodge threats (same as caramel lizard)
