The jokes about pregnant Midge were mostly aimed at collectors and people who grew up when she was released. She flopped and was pulled off the shelves because people thought a pregnant doll was weird and off-putting. There were some other references that were solely aimed at people who know the history and the releases of Barbie products, like the appearance of Allan, Earring Magic Ken and Sugar's Daddy Ken.
Ken being just an ignored accessory is literally apart of the joke because Barbie says in the movie, she doesn't even know where the Kens sleep in Barbie land. Which is a reference to the toy kind of being just an accessory to Barbie without any personality.

It's a last-minute plot twist video. The point shoe seems to make at the end is that everyone seems to be twisting the entire movie into a pretzel just so they have either the perfect target or something that agrees with them. If you see the clip it is genuinely funny, because he says something like "here is my feelings about the Barbie movie expressed in the style of Oppenheimer" and then the images of the burnt bodies of the dolls is accompanied by the sound of the blast and the howling wind and the screaming associated with a typical cinematic depiction of a nuclear blast. (I ain't seen Oppenheimer but it strongly reminded me of the scene in Insignificance in which Einstein has a vision of Monroe being incinerated by a nuclear blast). For example, Alita movie was woke, because they race swapped characters, and added female roles that didn't exist in the original, to boost the amount of "diverse" women in the movie. But most at the time were talking about how the woke Captain Marvel movie was losing to the superior Alita movie. And the woke supporters hated Alita because "It wasn't Captain Marvel". But anyone who would be somewhat neutral and looked at the titles objectively, would say they were both the same type of movie, and one just performed better. It too was woke, considering they made the princess superior and flawless. She is of course equally good to Mario in the games, but in the movie she had to be superior. No, the success was because we could stomach the woke content and still enjoy the movie since it had characters we like. So woke movies can do well. It is just that if they hadn't been woke, they'd have been even better since it would have reflected reality instead of leftist ideals. And of course if a woke movie fails, it just means there wasn't enough in the movie to compensate for the wokeness. I also watched the Indiana Jones movie that people love to say "Woke get broke". Frankly if it was going to be post WW2 storyline they could have skipped the nazis because other people can be bad too.

IIRC, originally the pregnant doll “Midge” received backlash from parents (mainly moms), because the doll was unmarried (didn't have a wedding ring) and was thought to promote teen pregnancy.

I don't hate some of the points she made, but I really wish the whole "men never get complimented" thing would die. Women don't give men random compliments, because, in most situations, any sort of positive attention gets viewed as an open invitation for the man to pursue sex, a relationship, etc. We're already accused of being too flirtatious just by the nature of our existence and what we choose to wear, and the compliment just isn't worth the risk. It sucks and I wish men didn't feel unappreciated but as with a lot of things, some guys ruin it for everyone else.

For example, Alita movie was woke, because they race swapped characters, and added female roles that didn't exist in the original, to boost the amount of "diverse" women in the movie. But most at the time were talking about how the woke Captain Marvel movie was losing to the superior Alita movie. And the woke supporters hated Alita because "It wasn't Captain Marvel". But anyone who would be somewhat neutral and looked at the titles objectively, would say they were both the same type of movie, and one just performed better. The woke people could have celebrated a double victory, but went for a civil war about if the wokest movie was winning or losing.
Another example is the Mario movie. It too was woke, considering they made the princess superior and flawless. She is of course equally good to Mario in the games, but in the movie she had to be superior. But as we all know, since people like Mario, they called it "anti-woke" and claimed the success was the lack of woke content. No, the success was because we could stomach the woke content and still enjoy the movie since it had characters we like.
So woke movies can do well. It is just that if they hadn't been woke, they'd have been even better since it would have reflected reality instead of leftist ideals. And of course if a woke movie fails, it just means there wasn't enough in the movie to compensate for the wokeness.
I also watched the Indiana Jones movie that people love to say "Woke get broke". But in reality the issue in that movie is that you want WW2 storyline with young Indiana, but what you get is old and busted Indiana during the moon landing, fighting nazi shadow agents who just hide their evil. Saying things like the barbies weren't cheating because barbies dont have sex is switching your film literacy off when it's convinient. The filmmakers are either saying something about people by using barbieworld as a microcosm, or they are contrasting it with the real world by demonstrating its differences. There's no interpretation where the barbies doing something analagous to cheating isnt saying something about monogomy for better or worse. Vaush hits this note a few times and it seems silly that he's not willing to see barbieworld as metaphor when it doesnt make his point

I’m just disappointed I haven’t seen anyone talk about how it shows a Tate style of masculinity that grabs disenfranchised Kens without actually making them happy
You know it's a good movie when it's so open to interpretation. That is what I personally love most about art.
