I bought the grizzly and it died in one month of riding it and the company would not replace it or fix it. Currently I am stripping it down putting a bafang mid drive and HPC 3000 watt front hub motor on it. But this bike you just reviewed looks like a good alternative to the grizzly. The people at Ariel Rider should be ashamed for putting such a high price on a piece of junk.
Thanks for posting this. It burns my bacon reading all the complaints about bikes, especially related to poor customer service and warranty claims being ignored. One would think the e-bike manufacturers and retailers would wise up because from what I have read on the Net, there's a lot of prospective customers who pass on a particular bike because of the complaints. Using myself as an example: I was considering the Ariel X-Class but I read three complaints about poor custo service on Reddit. And add another complaint to the list, yours. Now I wouldn't buy an Ariel product even if it was half price. Same goes for the Revv1, which my neighbor has. I really really like that bike. But he had various problems with it and then on Reddit there were a number of complaints about the bike. And a couple of posts complained about poor customer service. One guy said the Ride1 Up CSR was rude, then HUNG UP ON THE GUY, and when he called back, the CSR wouldn't answer the phone! (What are these CSRs, in high school. Sheesh.) Bottom Line: We have the power guys. Spread the word, don't patronize those businesses.
Nice work, as usual. Thanks for the time you put in to these cool videos. I really like the style of your videos. And I appreciate the little things, like the chapter separations or whatever you call them - They are handy when referring back to a specific spot in one of your videos, which I have done a few times. That cat scene was priceless..! Keep your wheels on the ground..!
I have always loved your videos. I originally bought the cyrusher xf800 for my first bike. Unfortunately it was stolen 2 weeks later. Then I bought a Ariel rider xclass which I enjoyed for a couple months before getting hit by a truck. So here I am almost 2 years later now enjoying my brand new meelod dk300 max and I love it!!! I just wanted to say this bike has a few changes I've noticed. The motors are different, there is no name brand written on the motors. Cruise control can be shut off now which is great!, and the brake lights now work like they should they flash which I like
The big difference... you can get reasonable support from Aerial Rider. What is Meelod's support options? They have a factory here somewhere but nothing on how to get something fixed or replaced. Far too many horror stories about these companies based in Hong Kong or on mainland China to take a chance. Love your channel but would like to see more info about the companies behind these bikes, real world expectations when something goes wrong and if the batteries are certified or not.
I absolutely love your reviews on all of the e-bikes, I value your opinion, you are honest about the quality and reliability, I own a Wired cruiser 2023 and love it. Thank you for sharing your opinions 👍🏼
Excellent review as usual, and I really appreciate the common tests. I went on a group ride with one of these, and aside from some odd front brake noises that had me break out my tools to align the caliper, everyone liked it a lot. What I dislike is the speed based pedal assist, and I hate that more companies are going this way for some reason. It did well, performance-wise, and could almost keep up with my RadMini on the hills.
I'm not sure why most bikes have the speed based pedal assist. I just assumed it's because the people who design build them aren't the ones that ride them... But I definitely agree it should be power based. This was a pretty solid bike though.
I just put a 2nd CSC 500wat hub motor on my 36V bike and used a 48V 1500 dual mode controller(works w/o hall sensor input)to run both....1/2 of 48v 1500wats on 36V should be a perfect match if you do the math. Both motors work but have no power and I don't know why, they both work fine on 36v & 2controllers but i want one throttle on this one. My 52v schwinn has 2 throttles, the bafang front is great at low speeds and when its spun out the 1500w rear adds 10 more mph, nailing both at the same time is impressive
@slimdunkin117 I personally like the styling of the power goat better and feel its more practical for my use. Also I was always gonna go with the second battery either way so I'll have 40ah instead of 45ah and im fine with that given I prefer the styling on the power goat..
Only issue I can see with this bike is it is from a company not known and the batteries are of unknown quality, for instances what cells are used, is UL approved?
I’m taking a closer look at moped style ebikes especially at the supporting components. Duel motors great! Duel batteries defiantly a must with lots of capacity. But! Looking closely at brakes, rotors, seat, handle bars and front fork well if you don’t your in trouble. These things matter as much as the drive train and battery. As to front forks manufactures need to put high quality first for safety reasons. When regulations come and they will front forks will be regulated as batteries are now. Your life depends on it!
What do you think of your drone do far? I purchased the same one for my bike channel and it does really well. It has been too cold here the last few days to fly it.
@@CitizenCycle925 I love your videos and your channel. I can’t wait until the weather gets warm enough to get the hover out for intros and interesting video shots.
if i remember correctly they give you one charger with 2 plugs on it. i can't remember if the plugs are long enough to reach both batteries while they are on the bike.
Nice video, Dual motor, batteries are common now. It's carbon steel frame, so that's the reason of the cheap price I think. Too heavy compared other mopeds?
make sure before buying ask the delivery time. as of 6/3/24 they are 4 months out on the pro and 3 months out on the Max. i asked them to update the website but they don't speak english only DOLLARS. lol
Interesting bike, nice review. I am still undecided on these moped style bikes. Having no seat adjustment I wonder just how much actual pedaling you can actually do on this type of bike? I will be testing out a kind of a cross between the the two before the week is out. It will be very interesting to see how it goes.😀 I do own a Hanevear and I really like the bike. Being able to turn the AWD off and on is really nice, especially for turn arounds. Like you say they can walk out from under you if you are not careful. The Hanevear is very nimble offroad and very easy to handle. I think it will go almost anywhere this old man would want to go LOL I did put a dual battery on my Hanevear, so it can be done.
The moped style bikes are definitely not good for peddling at all. But with the 40 amp hours of battery pack on this one, you don't have to pedal much.
Dude I just get one on black Friday off Amazon great video I'm like to learn all about it your video help
Me too

You know I haven't had any issues with my grizzly. But I have seen several people comment on my channel regarding their grizzly blowing up..
@@CitizenCycle925 just curious how is that speed sensor configuration you used on your grizzly working?
@@iaj255 It's still functioning just fine so far.
I'm so glad I didn't buy a grizzly. They should have replaced it. It's not like they couldn't afford it. Definitely not getting one of the grizzlies

Cool.. I was thinking of that new Goat bike that has the 50 amp controller and a 60V battery.. Kinda looks similar..
That goat bike has a quick ass direct drive motor. But the torque would be lower vs 2 geared hubs
I purchased the power goat. I get it soon I can't wait. It's gonna be a beast

Great opening Drown is great

Just got mine! What is the best psi for the rear shocks? I weigh about 190lbs. Thanks
In the video he said he set his to 120psi and he's about 180lbs
That’s why the got the rear tire so far back and the seat more centered..to keep your weight forward
Hey man great vid you should try and get your hands on the cyrusher scout for a review and comparison

the non slipping front vs one that spins is the slow start in the controller, its not dropping max volts/amps to the front tire right away.

yes !
Needs a cargo rack for the rear? I reckon it could be a good work horse!
Looks like there's mounting holes for a rear rack. But I did not see one offered yet.
Meelod sells rear racks now. If you buy the bike, you get the rear rack included for free.
