Lovely walk - I did most of this walk when I was in Paris in 2017 - except for the beautiful church. I came by it, but didn't go in. Thank you for the candle - Merci beaucoup
Ah thanks for enlightening us to the ways of the the lovely Marais and beyond. Always of interest to see your take. We'll be visiting to do a little filming on Friday so your video's have really helped to orientate us. Look forward to seeing more from you. Thank you.
Andrew Prior Thanks Andrew! As you know the city has so many layers to it. I haven’t forgotten about your message; would love to grab coffee sometime. We’re about to have a baby in the next few days so it’ll have to be once things settle down a bit. Let’s stay in touch!
Thanks a lot for the comment and thanks for watching. The Marais always surprises me with how much it does well. I really think it’s the best all-around district with all the things that Paris does best. Have a great day!
You're brave to face the crowd! We heard that there were tens of thousands of protesters, so we hid out at Fringe Coffee in the 3rd for the afternoon. :)
Hi thanks for the comment. I haven’t uploaded everything to UA-cam but the entire video archive is in the Videos section of my FB page A French Frye in Paris.
Kirsten Boys Hey thanks for watching! For good snails go to a place specializing in the cuisine of Gascony (southwest France). A place I like that doesn't break the bank is Le Relais Gascon, in Montmartre.
For the chickens, but wouldn't the fat from the raw chickens also be dripping onto the potatoes? I'd want just juice from cooked chickens dripping. You'd be eating potatoes with the cooked, but also the raw chicken juice splashing on them.
I see what you mean. I’m not sure of the specifics but the system must be working because they’ve been eating those chickens nonstop for generations. Perhaps any “raw juice” that hits hot food is made safe by the heat it encounters, or perhaps by the time it drips it’s already sufficiently heated? At any rate I’ve never heard of the roasted chickens being dangerous. Thanks for watching.
Your French pronunciation is pretty good. But Bastille isn't pronounced "Bass-tee". You have to make the "Y" sound at the end of Bastille, the way we sound a "Y" at the end of boy, tie, toy. That's because two L's following an I make a Y sound. So the correct pronunciation would be "Bass-teeye".
Although I think celebrating all body types is right and appropriate, don’t be fooled thinking America is so brave in this area featuring plus-size models. We have an obesity and over-weight epidemic here! Starting as young as age 2! Nothing to admire.
So sweet - the candle for all of us who do pray. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing the lovely square where I live, Place des Vosges, the icon of the Marais! See you around! À bientôt
loved this one..
Thanks a lot! Always worth it to walk through the Marais.
Have you or do you plan on doing a video tour of the furnace making district and its passages around the Rue du Faubourg St-Antoine?

Great video! 👍
Thanks for watching, glad you liked it.
Wow, how many people have done a face plant, tripping over those tiny metal rings lining the grass?
Hi! I love your videos. Where can I find ep 22 to 38?

Yes, nice touch with the candle. I lit a candle nearly 40 years ago at Sacre Coeur. 🙏. Strawberries are real, not GMO
