Anybody who knows me knows I am a HUGE Type O Negative fan! No other death of an artist has affected me more than the passing of front man Peter Steele on April 14th, 2010. I had the joy of seeing Type O open for Pantera in the mid-90's and Peter's on stage presence was one that commanded respect. So with that, I dedicate this cover to Peter with the upcoming unfortunate anniversary of his death. RIP Pete!
For today's cover, I picked one of Type O Negative's "happier" tunes with a very upbeat tempo which is uncharacteristic for goth metal. I stayed as true to the original as possible and man was this a real treat to play. Hope you guys enjoy!

Tempo couldn't be more on point. Saw Type O as well and I got the same vibe you did. Peter's stage vibe was one that made the entire place just focus on him. Jesus man, how tall was he? Don't stop. 😂🤣 I never worry about my cymbals for dents, however, the snare drum I do wonder how the cone piezo is doing because I hit that one pretty hard. Watched it twice and played it through my car stereo on the way to work Bryan. This definitely sounds record quality! Drum mix is beastly and timing is perfect! That kick sound is so punchy! Is that from the Death and Darkness SDX?? I’m liking it! Now to get your toms as “in your face” and that will be the perfect metal kit. Nice work
Mike, I miss your covers man -COME BACK SOON! But nah, I have all these SDX's and I still mainly use the core library. This is the same kick as way back to my first cover using SD3, just this time I really focused on improving that sound. It's a shame you don't like the tom sound though. I did struggle trying to find a good, not boomy, floor tom and while it's not boomy, it lacks that in the face sound. Thanks for checking out the cover twice. Metal to the core! 🤘
