#35mm #sony #sigma - Наука та технологія
Wow! This is the comparison i am actually looking for and you just uploaded it! The timing is impeccable! 😱🤯👏👏👍👍
Awesomely clear presentation of the results! Yet you are not carried away by that - keeping them in an overall context of usability. Love it.
Great lens breakdown, as usual. Thanks for all the work you put into these.
That was a really professional video, lots of information, exactly what I was looking for, thank you!
This is one of the best reviews period. Thank you so much. I absolutely loved the opaque overlay on the lazy Susan displaying the difference in size. Such a clean look.
Really appreciate that. Thank you! 😃
One of my favorite channels for correct and accurate information. Thank you Gerald!
Thanks! I was trying to decide between these two.
This video helped me so much. There are SO many different 35 mm lenses and I was finding myself going to over 10-15 videos to pick out pieces but then left more confused. Thank you for getting right to the point with all of the facts and having it all in one video.
Superb review and comparison. Concise, clear, perceptive, to the point - every bit of information was relevant and nothing over looked as far as I can tell. Comparison well thought out. No jokes, no stories about the location or the weather, no long loud introduction. Perfect. Thanks very much!!!
I switched 1.4 to 1.8 about three weeks ago. I was so scared when I started this video but in the end I almost cried for your conclusion. Thanks, you made me a happy sunday. 😅👍
(My wife says size doesn’t matter but I think smaller one doesn’t harm your wrist so much. That’s the biggest benefit in Sony 😁)
Wow! I watch a lot of photo/video gear reviews on UA-cam and this was by far one of the best video I've watched! I love your thoughtfulness. I can see that you made a plan before shooting (e.g. before/after the firmware update), your explanations and the transitions of topics is seamless. Thanks for this great review and comparison, subscribed!
Love your detailed reviews! Thanks once again!
Perfect timing. I have been looking for these comparison among those 35mm lens. Thank you so much Gerald.
This is really an excellent comparison for anyone in the market for a E-mount 35mm. Thanks for your analysis.
This review was perfect. Solid, covered all points and compared the best and worst features of each option. Thank you.
This is the best video on UA-cam comparing these lenses!
Exactly the information I needed! Thank you!!
This review is amazing! So thorough, precise and to the point!
I was so waiting for this video!!
Great video!
Really well done and super helpful.
This is the comparison video I've been looking for. I was thinking the Sigma 1.4 for the longest time, but just found out the Sony 1.8 is probably the better choice for video work. Think I'm going to end up getting that instead. Thanks for making up my mind for me!
That was a truly excellent video - very thorough. I really appreciate the time you put into this. Thanks!
Damn, another helpful video. Truly appreciate these in depth reviews and analysis
Thanks, Nick. 😀🙏
You don't know how much I appreciate your professional videos !
Thank you a lot !!!!!!!!!
Thank you for putting such a comprehensive comparison of these lenses. I purchased the Sony 35mm f/1.8 based on your review.
Hahaha, the ending "Feel free to hit the dislike button twice" got me 😂😂
Very helpful! Thanks, Gerald!
Gerald, your reviews are always spot on. This one is no different. Thank you!
Thank you for the detailed comparison!
Really in depth! Great info too!
I'm working on my review of the F1.2 and the focus was baffling me beyond belief, it feels like pulling focus is a lottery every time, thought I was going crazy.. knew you'd have the answer haha.
How are you liking the lens so far?
Gerald Undone it’s been returned to Sigma now.. very sad haha but I loved it, incredibly sharp. Trying the FP now!
Awesome review Gerald! Thank you!
Great video! I think I will go for the Sony 35 1.8 too. I believe size is the key decision point as price is pretty similar.
I just got the Sony 35 on an impulse buy and came to your review to start checking it out. I’m very glad I pulled the trigger on it!
Splendid! I did tag along the whole schabang. Nevere got bored or fed up. And best of all, it helped me to by my new 35 :-) thx Gerald
I have been waiting to make my decision on which lens to buy for your review.
Hands down the best gear reviews! You go over things no one else talks about and things I'm looking for. You also have a great way of describing things.
Thank you!
Thanks, Paul. Glad it's helpful. Cheers!

your intro is the only one i'm willing to watch among all photography/videography channels intros..... well camera conspiracy too
This is probably the most useful review on the Sony FE 35mm f/1.8 (for video use) on UA-cam. Thanks for testing the AF sound as well!
Thank you for a definitive conclusion out of a comparison! More often than not, photographers looking for reviews on gear need that definite stand more than the "depends on what suits you best" BS from other sources. Cheers 🥃
in-depth and well-organized review! Thank you. i usually tap out at anything on YT over 10 mins but you're well worth it most of the time. Sony it is. (happy the smallest lens won - cannot stand to carry heavy monsters aropund) Cheers mate.
Same conclusion! Very useful video! Thanks!
Great review, Gerald! I just got my Sony 35mm 1.8 today and I'm loving it! Subbed.
Just ordered the Sony 35mm 1.8 based on this review! Thanks for all your work, you do an amazing job
Great video! I unfortunately can't lose the 2/3 stops to go to the 35mm f1.8 from my Sigma 35mm f1.4, because I do a fair amount of extreme low light work. But the Sony seems like a great piece of kit, especially for the weather sealing and lighter weight.
Great review. I went with the 35/1.8 to go along with my A9. It's the ultimate family combo!
I would love for you to cover the Sony 16-35mm. Thank you for these reviews!
Really appreciate these tests. One strange thing is in the ghosting department. The Sony has a number of vibrant green ghosts that appear with flare. I first noticed it just taking photos with the sun in the frame, then easily duplicated it with my phone flash as you did. Duplicated on another copy in an electronics store. Just an FYI to anyone out there.
Such a detailed comparison. Much respect!
Thank you for such a thoughtful, intelligent review!
The best review I have seen lately. I had my mind made up, and you have confirmed it with arguments that I completely agree with. Thanks for your time and objectivity.
great video dude, helped out a lot!
17min of a very very very lucid comparison. Thanks for that, Gerald!
The Art! The only thing bigger is my smile when I'm using it. If I see people sticking my pics right in their eyeballs I'll switch lol.
Thanks Gerald.
Incredible review my dear respect sir! Regards from Switzerland
Thanks for another well thought out and worthwhile video - once again, I'm left undone!
I’m still exploring the idea of doing photography as a hobby, don’t even own a camera other than the one on my phone. But, having watched every photography “guru” on UA-cam, it seems like, I’m very impressed with the video quality (to be expected given the theme of the channel) but more so I’m impressed with the level of detail and the way you’ve presented it, bravo.
Wow! That is one helluva review. Nice work Gerald!
Awesome break down Gerald, thanks.
Super helpful, thanks!
Very very informative. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this video! :)
Great knowledge mate!
How do you only have 116k subs? Your videos are so informative, unique and you’re very likable!
The best comparison i needed for excatly these lenses
Good work, keep it up, you got my subscribe!
great review, very detailed
Thank you for the info!
Gerald Undone is affecting the Stock market everytime he does a lens review :D
Thank you for the great review :)
Very detailed and helpful review.
Great video! What lens do you recommend between the 3 for the wedding photo and no video. I need a fast AF and a very good image quality. Thanks!
Thanks for the review of the different lens. Not being a Pro with no intention of going that route, my main goal was to look for an over all lens that I could jst leave on my Sony a7 iii for the most part to handle my day to day photography needs, so I think I'm gona order the Sigma 1.4 lens especially after you commented on the new firmware update which was one of the negative comments I read & was concerned abt.
Thanks, Gerald. Great job on the video. I bought the Sony 35mm/1.8. Have a great day!
Great review!
Very thorough and useful.
Spot on, just what I needed to know for my Sony A6500 and for my future Sony A7iii. Thanks very much!
great comparison ! my only concern regarding the 35 1. 8 is the diminished background blur - could you share some photos comparing those ?
Definitely bought the Sigma 35f1.4 based on your review and preference aaand the reduced price tag at my local Best Buy. This on my 6500 should prove to be a good combo for me. It has the perfect heft for someone with medium to large hands.
WOW! SO MUCH CONTENT IN A SHORT VIDEO!!! AMAZING!! I CANT AFFORD BLINKING MY EYES!!!
Awesome video. Super informative. Glad I purchased 35mm f1.8 also
That transmission comparison is a big deal. Awesome job going into that level of detail! Impressive.
Keep em coming !
Awesome - thank you Gerald
Thanks for another comprehensive comparison. I'm left wondering how the Tamron 35mm f/1.4 SP would fare, if only it were available in E mount.
Gerald, I have the 16-35mm 2.8 GM, 24-70mm 2.8 GM, and the 35mm 2.8 zeiss. Is it worth it to keep or sell the 35mm, should I get another 35 instead, or which of the zooms would you sell? I don't do weddings ro paid gigs, I am using them for my youtube channel and use a gimbal too.
Now from your opinion which lens is best for tattooing?
1.8 or 1.4 ?
I take video and pictures so it’s hard to pick but I can only get one . Which one can perform the best?
Have you ever reviewed the 50 1.4 planar? Would be really cool if you do in the future. :)
Great video Man, I am looking for the 35mm 1.4
Great comparison! I had a chance to use the Sony 35mm 1.8 at the Sony Camera Camp and really enjoyed it! I also used the 55mm 1.8 and ever looked back! 😂 completely forgot I used the 35mm haha! It's so light and nimble, especially on a gimbal! *bars*
Thanks for this review: would be useful to test with the new a7sIII. It would help if more text descriptions were added in the video to keep track of the lens and the data you are talking about.
wich lens u use?
You are slowly becoming one of my favorite youtubers
That Sigma is tempting, size is important!! 😊
Won in Vegas and needed a new lense! Thanks for this interesting video
Happy using my Voigtlander Nokton Asp II f1.2
Great review as always. I use both canon and sony bodies. In my case, I always considered buying the ART lenses with Canon mount and use on both bodies(with MC-11 on Sony body). Would any recommend me to buy the ART lens for its one lens fits both bodies, or do yall suggest to go for the Sony 1.8 for its perfect function for video.
So excited for my fe 35mm 1.8 coming this week
Super helpful also wondering if Sony is a better pick for Gimbal use like the ROnin SC due to lighter and shorter dimensions ???
great video man, love the segmentation !@
Super good video! Thank you!
i appreciate the precision review!
