- Rosalee Dubois is a short elderly lady who’s an expert button thief, be it a passenger’s
coat, sleeve, or handbag. She’s an elevator operator who gains access to her dimly lit
apartment through a panel in the wall of her elevator. Her partner in crime is a small fruit bat,
who resides with her and is extremely handy with a miniature grinding stone. Together this dynamic duo steal and reshape buttons in order to open the only window in the apartment which is tightly shut with an industry standard steel shutter, connected to a coin operated slot machine with a claw. An obnoxious BEEP-BEEP constantly calls Rosalee back to work as these two hustle to catch the sunset and the cool evening air for a break.
