@@RiverKingAz Shot a good bit, they were flying high and fast. Finally started putting on enough lead and started bringing some down. No problems with the Girsan.
Taking mine out to a hot zone where I’ll fire at least 25-100 rounds. I’ll see how that goes but I’ll use this video afterwards. Thank you! I always believe any good sportsman should know how to clean and prolong the life of their firearm.
One thing you forgot that needs to be done when used in hash conditions is to remove the choke and clean the threads ,and I use light grease or anti seize to keep the choke from sticking or seize up.
Great video guys, just got back after the season opener here in Southern Ontario with my mc312 and this video made it so easy! Much appreciated. Great gun too. Cheers!
Buy at Own Risk! Got mine new for around $300 off GB. It arrived with a broken plug. The plug should have been inside the mag tube but it wasn't. Just loose inside the blue box, broken. Took a little time but EAA sent me a replacement. When it works, it's AWESOME! But...... I am constantly getting failures to fire! This has cost me several ducks and geese! I also have times when the bolt fails to go all the way forward, even when slammed forward, making loading impossible. I also have fit issues with mine. The forearm is loose no matter how tight I twist the mag/forend screw. I will be sending it back to EAA for them to fix it for me.
In the video you said don't try to move the bolt until barrel and everything is connected I have this exact gun shot wonderful love it but now I'm having feeding issues and double deeds so failure to feed sometimes bolt locks back like I fired last shot in mag when still fully loaded you Said I would have a mess on my hands sure I moved the bolt before putting everything back together it was my first time what mess were you referring to what happens when you do move it without everything connected? Is it possible to take my gun back apart properly as you displayed and check and see if the back in of the bolt is properly aligned with that recoil spring? Please I need help with this matter asap in the middle of dove season and I may as well be shooting a single shot!!???????
Hi, thank you for the video. What shells do you use for hunting ducks. I had an issue with at 1 or 2 different 3.5 inch shells not cycling or firing properly and would like to know what you use.
We have found thats the only issue with these guns. Not cycling 3.5 inch shells. We dont really use 3.5's where we are at so it has not been a real issue. However I have only tried Kent Fast Steele 3.5 and they suck. But on the same hand The Kent Fast Steele 3 inch does not work well with these guns either. Winchester 3 inch work great. Have not been able to get 3.5 in Winchester to try yet because there is no ammo available in our area. As soon as I get my hands on Winchester 3.5 I will give it try and post the results.
You don’t have to but I do so I can at least wipe off the threads with a drop of oil and then screw it back in. I do this after I have cleaned the barrel. If you are obsessed with a clean gun you can run a patch with a drop of oil down the barrel after you put the choke tube back in.
The dreaded click is when you have a dirty gun and the round does not fire and you missed your chance at hitting your bird. I have several of these guns and have never once got the click. However a dirty gun, no matter who makes it will cause that. This is simply regular maintenance. to prevent the click. These guns have been the most reliable semi autos that we have ever used. They get daily use during waterfowl season. As with all guns keep em clean and they will treat you right
Just a question on this shotgun 12ga. I owe one as well and fairly new shot maybe 300 rounds through an now 2 days in a roll after shooting first couple rounds through it is not cycling the 2nd round any idea y?
I watched a video yesterday where someone was having the same issue. Turns out he was holding the gun to tight to his shoulder. Sounds counter intuitive, but maybe hold it a little loss in the arm.
You must do the correct loading sequence. You drop your first round in the chamber, hit the button to close the action, then load your remaining shells into the shoe. Also these guns do not cycle Kent shells well at all. It’s super important to have your loading sequence correct or it won’t cycle properly. These guns are inertia driven and this is why the sequence must me correct. I shout Winchester X and own severed of these guns as we provide them in our watwrfowl hunts for our clients and as long as they are loaded properly they cycle well. Good luck
Do anyone know if you can use a trigger Assembly from benelli or other brand. My problem is that the saftey cant be switched on mc312 as i know of. As a left handed shooter i turn on the saftey at every shot.
@@RiverKingAz thank you. will try that. Girsan made a stupid mistake of making the saftey switch square on the one side and round at the other. So you can not just flip it.
I own a Hunting Guide Service so over the years I have owned or do own just about every Waterfowl Shotgun out there from Browning, Berretta, Benelli, Winchester, Remington and Franchi in various models. All my guns get very heavy daily use from my clients and myself.
@@RiverKingAz awesome, thinking about buying one of these. It looks identical to my stoeger m3500 but that gun was the biggest piece of shit I've ever seen so that's why I'm a little hesitant.
@@markblemings These are Just like the Benelli, made in the same factory by the same company with the same inertia drive. I am not sponsored by this company or get any deals. These are straight up super good waterfowl guns. I ran mine all season with clients using these. We own several. Not one single issue with any of them and thousands of rounds shot through each gun
@@RiverKingAz These ARE NOT made in the same factory, nor by the same company as Benelli. These are made in Turkey by Girsan and use the Bruno Civolani platform (action) from the 1960's that Benelli use to have the patent on. Two things. You didn't remove the handguard/fore end. Why? Hottest part on the gun when firing is this part of the barrel. Thus attracts the most moisture when it cools. Second. If you must use oil and grease, make sure they are compatible. Like kind!. In most cases, they will reject each other causing the area to be not lubed as you wish. can cause a chemical reaction. By the way, your fine by yourself.
Very Highly recommend these guns. We run Winchester X ammo 3 inch #2's and never have any issues our guide service owns 6 of them for our clients to use. Great guns

Stick with shells that have at least 1300fps and you should be good. You may be able to run a slower lighter load later on as the gun breaks in.

Make sure you are shooting, at an absolute minimum, 3 dram equivalent (1 1/8oz at 1200 fps) loads. 3 1/4 dram even better.
