I’m a little late to the party but while I’ve heard great things about it, I’ve heard others have had issues. Just from holding it, it was amazing how light it was. The foregrip feels good especially for chambered in 3.5”. I’m a little worried about what people have had to say about it but I have other friends who have run it for years and have never had an issue. I plan to take it out duck hunting soon and I’ll report back how it is! Thanks for the review!
Hey thanks for the comments. I just finished a cleaning video on it after 5000 rounds. I literally did not do any kind of maintenance to if for 5000 rounds but I would suggest cleaning the choke tubes. They were really bad. lol. Oops. I’ll never do that again. Girsan did indicate no maintenance for 5000 rounds though. But if you only have to clean the choke tubes and barrel threads, that’s pretty good. Let me know how the duck hunt goes! Cheers
@@elite-sportshooting I’m back with my hunt report! The gun shot really well! No issues with ejecting or chambering. No misfires. Shot almost a box and had no issues whatsoever! I’m very happy with it!
Thank you. Your review confirms what the salesman was telling me along with the other reviews here on YT. Looks to be a solid, reliable shotgun and the value to the money ratio is fantastic.
@@elite-sportshooting Uhh, no, lol. I went to go buy it and they were all sold out. Was not happy about that. So, I ended up buying a Benelli Montefeltro. A little pricey-er then the Girsan. I looked at the Berettas but I didn't want a gas gun and I wasn't leaving until I had a shotgun. So, the next choice was the Benelli. Same inertia type system as the Girsan. Took it out dove hunting and boy, I was knocking um outta the sky. Limited out, I was filling up my buddies bags so I can keep shooting. LOL! Real happy with my purchase even though it was more than I wanted to pay. If the gun store had the Girsan in stock, there would be one in my safe.
@@michaellissow543 that is awesome. I did hold one and it was pretty sweet. But you know you may have spent more but you have a pretty sweet shotgun. Girsan is a Benelli in the grand scheme of things. They were making shotguns under contract to Benelli till Benellis patent ran out. Then Girsan said don’t worry we will still build them. Which version did you get?
@@elite-sportshooting The Montefeltro model 10860 12g. Blued receiver and barrel, 28". Wood stock and fore grip, checkering. Polished chrome bolt and barrel. What I like about it is it's light. It swings and points super easy.
Buy at Own Risk! Got mine new for around $300 off GB. It arrived with a broken plug. The plug should have been inside the mag tube but it wasn't. Just loose inside the blue box, broken. Took a little time but EAA sent me a replacement. When it works, it's AWESOME! But...... I am constantly getting failures to fire! This has cost me several ducks and geese! I also have times when the bolt fails to go all the way forward, even when slammed forward, making loading impossible. I also have fit issues with mine. The forearm is loose no matter how tight I twist the mag/forend screw. I will be sending it back to EAA for them to fix it for me.
You are most welcome. Please let me know what your thoughts are as well. I really love it and I have 2500 rounds through it with no cleaning. I’m doing my own testing. Lol. They did say that their test they did was 5000 no cleaning and 10,000 no parts replaced so we will see. I am upgrading, replacing my chokes though with extended chokes. We will see what happens. I hope you enjoy your Girsan. Let me know what you think Too!
About half the time I load in my first shell it doesn't lock in the tube ! It just shoots out right under the lift gate? Why is this ? I have to disassemble get the shell out then reassemble! And it seems fine! Till the next time I take it out?? Please help?
I bought one a couple years ago but last time I took it out it was failing to strike the primer on the shell. Still haven’t gotten it checked out but I couldn’t figure out what’s wrong with it.
The only thing I can suggest is to give it a good cleaning. Especially the bolt and trigger area. I have a Stoeger that gives me grief that very same way. I haven’t done a cleaning video on it yet as I’m doing a test on it. It says it can run 5000 rounds through it with no cleaning. As soon as I get there I will I will do a cleaning video. I wish I could help you more but that’s where I would start. Let ‘e know how you make out.
Sorry for the short reply, I hit the return button instead of backspace. It does come in the 28 and 26 inch version as well as the 3 1/2 inch chamber. Mossy Oak finish too.

Hey Michael, have you had your Girsan out shooting yet? If so let me know your thoughts on it!

Just bought it. We will see how it performs.
Good review! That trigger travel showcase cried for some snap caps in the barrel though ;-)
I just got one we'll see how it goes thanks for the review

What's the barrel length?
28 inch barrel.
