And so many of my mates told stories of their dads who where in the middle of it all. There was plenty of opportunities to sign up. With posters in the local shop and scout clubs giving youngsters a taste of the life where saluting a flag is a regular chore. I ran 3 miles at under 20 minutes I could do the pull ups easy and I was in great shape. I started the process and scored a 99 on the asvab. I was told I could do any job I wanted. Then they found out I stole some beer from a store when I was 15. That was it. All my training for nothing. I tried the other branches and they didn't want me either. I was so bummed I used to sleep under a marine corps flag while I was training. Anyways, after all these years I'm glad it happened that way. I do not respect the woke direction the US military is headed. It looks weak to me. All the vets I know are ashamed of what's happening in the military.

My dad was a sports teacher for the army schools hence why we were out there.
Every day on the way to school I would see soldiers marching down the streets now and then on training. Even a tank here and there. And so many of my mates told stories of their dads who where in the middle of it all.
There was plenty of opportunities to sign up. With posters in the local shop and scout clubs giving youngsters a taste of the life where saluting a flag is a regular chore.
