Downfall - a Paranoiac Rhapsody for solo 'cello by SF Christo. Opus 1

This is my opus 1. The first piece I ever wrote out back in 1990.
Your speakers are not broken: the piece starts out VERY quietly and then gets more and more intense.
It is a passacaglia - in the sense of a looping set of harmonies- but the harmonies get more and more intense after each variation.
