- Tributes have been pouring in for radio Metro's Eddie Zondi who passed away on Monday. His memorial service will be held later on Thursday at the Standard Bank arena in Johannesburg. Over the years, his radio show, the " Romantic Repertoire" a show he hosted every Sunday afternoon on Metro FM gained a huge audience. Joining us in the studio is one of the legendary radio presenters, Ernest Pillay and Happy Ngidi, Metro FM's Communications Manager and Metro FM's DJ Mlu...owl.li/ycZWP

2021 I'm here crying in the middle of a pandemic.
As I watch this and listen to the memorial on the radio, the harsh REALITY has struck- he's truly no more. Our 3pm Sunday appointment are never to be experienced again. Through my heartbreaks, my happy joyful day the music that forever soothed me and your voice shall live in my heart. Each song I learned through you and the songs that played at the right time with my situation at that moment in time will forever allow you to live spiritually at all times in my life.

How did he die
Metro fm has lost my interest. No longer attractive to me. I drive back from church rather without any radio as the spirit on Metro FM is low. Hay akusoze kuphinde kube mnandi. I have accepted that hence I rather listen to my car engine.
