The police are treating anyone held very gently, unlike those held at the Downing Street protest!
As with all UK rallies the Downing Street rally rules were agreed with organisers council and published by police. Specific rules were to stick to the route ( not jump the barriers onto road) and to disperse by 8:30pm, those who broke the rules or who were aggressive were arrested. The war memorials in the middle of the road were not boarded up and on previous rallies had been vandalized, one of the reasons protesters were meant to stay on the footpaths.
@@mickjoebills but the police didn’t explain the rules and didn’t seem to know them themselves. Police were arresting people on the footpath.
@@helenporter7584 People were arrested after 8:30pm as they hadn't dispersed. Police published the rules, the rally organisers apparently didn't remind people to stay behind barriers and disperse by 8:30, despite been filmed using a portable PA. The public were suckered by organisers and naively, followed the troublemakers who pushed past barriers, (a common tactic to stir up trouble). According to the map a section of footpath was off limits. Did Police have a PA system and did they use it as they often do to ask people to disperse.
@@mickjoebills no police PA system and no instructions were being given. One chap told to go on footpath and was then arrested.
People were kettled and not allowed to leave before 20:30 have a think about that @mickjoebills
