My best friend fulfilled a lifelong dream for me a few months ago. He and his wife took me to a Billy Joel concert at Cleveland stadium (Jacobs Field). Not an empty seat in the place. I think it depends on your definition of "underrated". His face my not be plastered all over Pepsi cans, but it really doesn't need to be. The man will forever impact rock & roll music until it no longer exists.
Historically, Billy Joel was one of the most famous and appreciated rock stars of his generation (mostly the 1970s to the 1990s). It is sad that newer generations of music lovers will never have to opportunity to revel in every new song as it is released. He was very much appreciated.
I love this Billy Joel is one of the best songwriters of all time. Lead vocal levels are sometimes a bit low but man you're good one of my fave small channels on this site.

It was quite time consuming, but I love how it turned out :) ...as for the Bass part, you're right I don't normally go that low, but I figured out something kinda cool...if I record the bass part in the morning I can get a few half steps lower than normal! So that was a recent discovery I'll most likely continue using ...thanks for your feedback!

So, this is very apropos. 😊 And another person commented about doing Frankie Valli songs, which is the kind of music Billy Joel was emulating on the album An Innocent Man. 😎
