      I look up interesting tree trunk shapes online. Then its just starting with a broad base and keep adding branches that get thinner and thinner with each sub branch. It is a pattern that you can find a lot in nature, from broccoli to blood vessels.

    • @Studio_VDS
      @Studio_VDS  4 місяці тому

      Does it work at all with the shading tool?

  • @jamesdoth
    @jamesdoth 2 роки тому

    At 4:50 , you start to shade over a few transparent pixels inside the tree. When I use the shading (fyi, I have the base color selected in the group palette), it shades everything except the empty transparent pixels. When you do it, it looks like you're shading + some kind of light opacity effect on your transparent background pixels. How do you shade with that opacity effect over empty pixels?

    • @Studio_VDS
      @Studio_VDS  2 роки тому

      I’m not sure, but I think these pixels are not colored. Hard to see though. If they are, I have no idea how. Haha. I believe I can only paint within the base color I painted with, which is also part of the shading colors I selected.

    Hoi hoe heb je de bewegingen gemaakt? Heb je het via Aseprite geanimeerd of moest je dat programmeren in Unity? Heb je veel programmeerkennis nodig om een pixel-art game te maken zoals Astral Flux?

    • @Studio_VDS
      @Studio_VDS  2 роки тому

      Ik heb alle animaties in Aseprite gedaan. Het bewegen van het astronautje met de knoppen etc. heb ik geprogrammeerd in Unity. Een platformer maken kun je vrij snel leren met Unity tutorials op de website van Unity, Brackeys UA-cam kanaal, en veel andere UA-camrs en websites. Er zijn ook manieren om zonder code te typen hetzelfde te bereiken en er zijn ook eenvoudige game engines om eens mee te beginnen (bv. gdevelop en construct die je zelfs vanuit je browser kunt gebruiken). Verder is het gewoon oefenen en lol hebben!
