The Beatles: All You Need Is Love (45 vs LP Version)
(UPDATE: The more common versions of these would include the single (45) version NOT in mono, and the 1976 LP version.)
[aka: Magical Mystery Tour vs Yellow Submarine albums]
    (Lennon-McCartney)

Which version do you like best?
(NOTE: Not much of a difference, except a slight difference in mix and an slightly extended outro.)

First performed by the group in the first live broadcast using four communications satellites on June 25th, 1967. It became the anthem of the Summer of Love.

Magical Mystery Tour wasn't an album until 1976 in the states. It was originally an EP released in Europe, which was in mono.

@@anthonycraig1458 I have a 2009 reissue of it on CD. It had that one there with all the other ones from the LP as well. I'm assuming it was the bonus disc since it came with 2 CD's and an extra feature. I think the original EP (record) came with only 5 or 6 songs on it. And the original EP was in mono (as they all were, including LP's, back then.) Besides mono, there's only two versions of this particular song, not including remixes on various albums, singles, reissues, etc.

@@anthonycraig1458 But I appreciate the info. I did "update" to reflect it better.

@@anthonycraig1458 Agree that it has a complicated history, but it's not the only Beatle song that is, with many different mixes of their songs and from different countries. Mixing and mastering a song on vinyl record vs CD (digitally) changes the sound too. I had a version from Japan that sounded different and I found this recently about a German stereo mix of it: www.rocktownhall.com/blogs/all-you-need-is-love-in-true-stereo/
