Menlove Ave - John Lennon - - From Wikipedia - - Menlove Ave. is a 1986 compilation album by English rock musician John Lennon. It is the second posthumous release of Lennon's music (after Milk and Honey), having been recorded during the sessions for his albums Walls and Bridges and Rock 'n' Roll. Menlove Ave. was released under the supervision of Yoko Ono, Lennon's widow. Background The first side of the LP comprises session outtakes from the Rock 'n' Roll sessions with Phil Spector in late 1973, apart from "Rock and Roll People", which is from the Mind Games sessions.[6] The remainder features rehearsal recordings in mid-1974 for Walls and Bridges. The song "Rock and Roll People" was originally recorded and released on Johnny Winter's seventh studio album John Dawson Winter III. The title refers to Lennon's childhood home, 251 Menlove Avenue, in Liverpool. Menlove Avenue is a long road in South Liverpool, part of the Liverpool ring road. While it is mainly residential, it is also a primary route: the A562. It also passes Woolton Village where Lennon and Paul McCartney first met. Yoko Ono's liner notes mention that "John's American rock roots - Elvis Presley, Fats Domino and Phil Spector - are evident in these tracks. But what I hear in John's voice are the other roots of the boy who grew up in Liverpool, listening to 'Greensleeves,' BBC Radio and Tessie O'Shea." - - - - - Track listing Side one No. Title Writer(s) Length 1. So beautiful music, so great musician, so prominent person! RIP John. Throughout my life, you were and remain for me an example of person who made himself great.
Much as I love the classic WALLS AND BRIDGES album, Yucko couldn’t have chose a more dirge-like mess of lifeless out-takes than she did for this curious enigma of a release…

It sure is. It's from the universe of music that was originally not deemed good enough to release. The music dates back to the 1970s, even though the album was released in 1986.

Un genio en acción.
No, it’s just now and then
Is this the atrocity that the McLennon fantasists would have you believe is titled MANLOVE AVENUE?..
Is it an official thing?
Released in 1986. An odd selection of tracks really considering what else was then unreleased.
Yeah, I bought it back then. I can't find it on streaming sites. I prefer the live run throughs of the Walls and Bridges songs to the record.

Yes. 1986.

It appears that John Lennon was a Chuck Berry fan to the very end (judging from "Rock and roll people").
В 2000 году Джон Леннон признан лучшим артистом 20 века
Angel baby is the only good song
If you compare these songs to the Beatles songs, you will discover what a gap and what a decline in the composition of music.
You realize these are OUT TAKES from other sessions -- deemed not good enough songs. Still people want to hear them.
