You know folks after watching these landings and take-offs. You REALLY have too sit back and appreciate much less marvel in amazement. ALL of these pilots experience in keeping their passengers safe. We often don't appreciate enough just how much they do too make our journeys as safe as possible. This footage shows EXACTLY that...!!!
Even the most experienced pilots find heavy crosswinds un-nerving. As a young 16 year-old my first crosswind landing was frightful. At first the 'crabbing' seemed to work but orienting to the centre line was too much so I made a go around. On the second attempt I 'slipped' (opposite stck and rudder) my plane in but nearly took out the wind sock.
After 53 years on the earth I still never get bored of watching these wonderful machines. And when you get great camera work, a good old blow and a nice dramatic background track = Nirvana. Thanks for sharing mate.
Beautiful imagery, but it would be so much nicer with the sounds of the engines (and, I know, the wind :D). I landed at Stansted during this storm, Ryanair made a remarkably smooth landing. I didn't know they had it in them.
Fantastic video! Usually I prefer no music, but it actually added to the suspense! And those slow-mos and time lapses are icing on the cake. Professional production right there. And yes, I did notice the now defunct WOW Airlines plane awaiting its turn for takeoff. Also noted was the several aborted landings of the A380s. Brilliant work.
This is brilliant footage! Superbly edited! Generally, not a fan of music in these videos, but it really works with this one... aircraft sound when needed! Nice one!
It may have 40/gust50 mph where you were, but in the North it was a good 20 mph higher and the sustained speeds were for much longer periods. That being said, some great footage. Slo-mo works well in stormy weather but the X2 just looks ridiculous. 👍
Typical bullshit "aviation enthusiast" comment wherein you prove you know nothing about actual flying but have spent too many hours plane spotting and think you know everything about aviation.
No need for douchebag comments like that Minds Eye. I assume you fly either the 747 or the 380 since you claim to know so much about the stability of each...
Nope. Not this time. There are plenty of videos without music for you to watch. That is, if listening to gale force winds buffeting the mic is your thing.
Here's an idea...why don't you spend the hours and days filming in the middle of a storm, and then editing the hours of footage while creating an aesthetic flow to an epic soundtrack. Maybe then you can make a completely irrelevant criticism inspired by an errant synapse fired from your lackey brain matter. Asshole.
Excellent video, thanks for braving the elements to bring it to us.👍✈

The Queen is always graceful.
Majestic
Amazing filming!
The last 747 close up was epic! See how the engines vibrated!
Those engines physically moving around on the pylons because they're being battered by the wind... that's aviation at its finest!
I think I would need to be totally drunk before getting on that plane. WOW!
Best x-wind video I've seen. Thank you!
Stunning video!!👏🏼
Some good crosswind flying.
Good training for the pilots! 😃

Super video, super music !!!
Outstanding

Great stuff! another epic video
I would love to see a pilots eye of some of those very wonky take offs and landings. What a nice video all round, well done!

Awesome....
Awesome filming JPTV!!! Fantastic images from the storm at LGW!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great video.
I think the music works well with this video. The wind noise that the microphones picked up would hav Ben rough on the speakers.

That was very good indeed!
Excellent video ,great way to edit. Keep them coming.

Come to a Chicago. Those kind of winds are fairly common throughout the year.
Why would anyone want to go there?
Good wark
Enjoyed that! Those engine vibrations on several types were incredible! Good ATC controlling too.
nice
Beautiful! Great job on the editing!
Awesome video
Love this video very nice
Awesome!!

Thanks for the great video, any chance you have the full landing of the Norwegian B787? Would be very thankful🙏🏻
love airplanes take off with max speed behind engines.
WOWWWW..I'd be a WRECK>>>
2:43 forgot to turn on port side light
Probably INOP.
One of the British 777 landing light does not work (2.43min)
Look how stable the 747 was compared to the A380

Just watching these makes me feel ill.🚽
They seem so fragile
anyone who thinks that these people don't earn their paycheck should watch this flick.
No music please. This is not an american TV series, right?
drift
good catch but jesus christ skip the super overdramatic music and just let me hear the engines and the wind
Go outside more often, chief.
@@RedLP5000S What?
Man these pilots need more training
Music=thumbs down

Speeding up and slowing down video was pretty stupid, do better
