    I'm currently rebuilding my 1970 Amazon after a complete bare body shell strip down,(stripping out wiring,interior,glass and all panels)and can appreciate the work you've put into this car.
    The main problem is remembering where everything goes!

    Just an epic build. No compromises. We’ll done. Gives me hope that I can get some additional HPs from my race car.

    Very nice. Looks amazing. I have always like the P1800 but I prefer the Amazon’s now. I love the body styling and the two door models are my favourite- I really like the colour of this one - looks brilliant with the black roof. I’ve a blue Amazon (1966) which is great but also recently bought a sand colour Amazon with a low 40’000 genuine mileage.

      Awesome, yours must be lovely with such low mileage. They really are great cars :)

    Stunning restoration absolutely amazing.
    I to grew up with Amazons 😍
    I have a pearl white 122s replica from 1968 with genuine 123GT components. It needs restoring but is very solid. I am in the process of buying a 496861 Engine with K cam fully rebuilt.
    I also have a red 1968 and green 1968 both 133352p genuine GTs both MOT need and complete but both need improvements.

    Just saw this video. Amazing work and skills. I have a p1800s which I bought as a just about runner....now running and driving but deciding on what to do.
    Its very slow but fast enough for its suspension and steering!
    I like your comment re period mods otherwise its no longer a Volvo...
    I would love to have a more powerful engine but not Race engine so will check out your other videos.
    Would be interested in costing of your engine build.....i am sure it was £££s

    Hi. Great car. Could I ask please. What muffler at the back did you use? I have a 1968 123gt and bought it with a Simons exhaust which I do not like the sound of. I have removed the mid section resonator and wanted to know what sort of rear muffler would work well. Thanks.

    Very nice car, I have a PV and an Amazon that I am in the process of getting parts for.
    One thing though, I see no proof of it actually being a GT..

    I certainly wish to apologize for any wrong understanding caused by me, I can be a little "Brash" at times and also too quick to react; I'm definitely in love not just with the car (which I am seeking) but the excellent work you have done, the passion which I call "Love of the Art"; even a wrong clamp or screw can ruin the entire scene. The smoking gun were (2) words that suddenly came out clearly towards the end of this video (RACING CARS), which made me think why all of a sudden I can hear his voice clearly; you'll have to view your own video, speed it up towards the end and then just listen normal, it will suddenly just come out; before I forget, YOUR ENGLISH IS FINE; someone pointed out that via his headphone he can hear it clearly, well so can I; however, I rather like to hear movies, video's and women "As They Speak" and NOT with the use of ear phones, ear buds or other "Plugs"; it's that stage of life where you just want to see, hear and maybe smell life as close as possible to the real thing. As a final, again I want to say Your Work IS INCOMPARABLE, and that I mean it!!

    Is it a genuine 123GT or a 122S converted to a GT replica?

    • @declanburke4146
      @declanburke4146  2 роки тому

      This is a genuine GT (292051) and appears on the register: www.volvo1800-120parts.com.au/123gtregister68.htm

    • @stephenburnage7687
      @stephenburnage7687 2 роки тому

      I have a 122S with some of the modifications but to fully convert it I would need to tackle projects like raising the compression ratio, upgrading the camshaft and swapping out the dashboard.

    Lovely Superb machine and work; however, the one thing that really peeve's me with people that have these beautiful, exciting machines to show, they spend inordinate time and effort producing these works of art and then they kill themselves producing a low budget video about the work especially with the audio; your talking to the general public about this amazing beauty, work of art but you speak like your talking to your boyfriend; you have to prepare, use a microphone with a clip to attach to your shirt button or the shirts collar, test it, make sure it works well, don't assume WE, the public can hear your you; think about this; I hear you BARELY, my laptop volume is cranked up to it's limit, the audio on UA-cam is also all the way across to max and i didn't hear a single word pronounced correctly except towards the end (2 words) "racing cars".

      Thanks for your reply, Micheal. There are some other videos on my channel that I've put more effort into - this isn't one of them. I just wanted to quickly walk around the car to share some details, which people (fans of Amazons) might find interesting. Sorry if my production skills, and grasp of the English language, aren't up to your high standards
