Sorry to hear this. This happened to me with a cat of ours - got out during some busy times at our home. He would hide out in the garage and I think one day I just didn't realize he ran out of the garage before closing it. I posted all over our neighborhood, drove to every rescue and animal control in our area even those an hour away in case someone turned him in there. One of the posters I put up in our neighborhood was torn down repeatedly so part of me hopes someone in that part of my neighborhood found him and fell in love with him so much they didn't want to give him back. I didn't stop looking for a year or 2 though and sadly never found him. I still hope that someone loved him (he was very sweet) so much they wanted to keep him safe.
You never know how many pet owners this might've helped as well ❤ They were all reminded to be extra careful to not let pets out, which is easy to do especially if they have people visiting during the holidays, or to get their fur babies chipped. I hope yours shows up unexpectedly and the sick baby improves ❤❤❤

I lost a cat around 2 years ago. It absolutely ruined my life. I feel deeply and sympathise for your loss. We have had cats disappear for months and come back. So please Cohh never lose hope. Good vibes and I hope he's OK.
Hey Cohh, sorry to hear about Letho... A few years ago one of my cats also missed a meal, and then another and another. She continued missing a meal for more than a year. The first half of the year we never stopped searching, but the second half we tried to make peace with the fact she's gone. After a year all of the sudden we get rang up by a veterinarian MILES away that they have our cat in surgery waiting to be neutered. But she was already neutered and thats when the vet checked for a chip and immediatly contacted us. Turns out some crazy lady picked her up out of our backyard.... I hope Letho comes back soon man.
I started watching around the time the time you got Letho, I think you were playing W3: Blood and Wine, so Letho has always been a part of my watching experience. I can only imagine your heartbreak and I totally support your decision make the emote transition. You need to to care of your own emotional health. As someone who recently lost his cat in a similar way, this hits close to home. Our family cat ran away to the street shortly before the area around our home was hit with flood due to a heavy rain. It really hurt, especially because he's lost shortly before his birthday. I hope you get Letho back.
I'm so, so sad to hear Letho hasn't come back yet. Changing over the emotes totally makes sense, with how they've become a sad reminder about your missing family member. I hope things get brighter for you soon, Cohh.
When moving house as a kid, our cat jumped out of the car when we were getting fuel over 100km from home, and we didn't know until we got to the new house. We got a call over a week later from our old neighbours that our cat had turned up at our old house and was meowing at the front door. Ive heard many similar stories that a cat/dog has miraculously found their way home, but hoping for a miracle is just that - hope. Don't lose hope dude, but also remember to temper hope within the bounds of reality otherwise you're just setting yourself up for more pain and heartache. Lost the most lovable & intelligent & crazy dog to ever exist like that. I can't even begin to describe how exceptional he was, or how much we loved him & missed him. We hold hope that he lived a long life afterwards, wherever he went, and made his new family very happy. If you never hear from him again, remember chips aren't foolproof. Good vibes Letho, may you purr in content for many more years wherever you are.
I remember when you got him, and he has become "stream's kitty". he truly was such a big part of everyone's days and while it's going to be incredibly sad to end this chapter, I can't imagine how difficult it has been for you all to be asked about Letho constantly multiple times a day and to see those emotes being used...thank you for sharing him with us all on twitch.
My indoor cat Milo was lost for 3 months. He was found, skinny, scared... but alive. He is still with me to this day. So, hope still exists. However, I totally understand moving forward
We recently lost our cat of +19 years, it hurt an awful lot but we had time to say goodbye. I can imagine the pain and questions your are experiencing now. Hoping for the best and wishing your family good strength going through all of this. Fingers crossed he is safe and returns to your doorstep one day or another. Take care.

So sorry to hear of your loss. The same thing happened with my dog when I was young. My dog had been trained to go outside every morning and bring in our newspaper (yes, it was that long ago). One morning he went out and never came back in. The worry and the lack of closure is always the hardest thing and it sucks to have to endure. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family during this time.

I just happened upon this channel within the last 24 hours. Even so, I am so sorry for your loss of Letho, and for Dimitri's terminal illness. I hope that Letho manages to find his way back to you somehow. Or, should he not and you would prefer it, some form of closure finds its way to you. Hopefully that closure is in the form of him coming home. If changing emotes will help you process your grief, and move as much toward acceptance as one can with something like this, I would hope that no one would object to that change. Losing a family member, non-human or not, is difficult enough.
Completely support your decision. Letho is a paragon of a cat and an icon in me and my children's lives. Watching the pain in your face and feeling the pain of the community has been difficult. Thank you for providing an opportunity for closure and keeping the vibes of this community at it's heart. I am so sorry, I know what you are going through. I have raised cat's all my life and I have had a few disappear. Praying for a miracle that your baby comes home. We had this happen for one of our cats once. He was gone for over 5 weeks and we thaugt he was gone for good but he came back dirty, oily and looking like a skeleton. What we think happened is that he got out, got scared and ran into somebodys garage to hide. This was during the summer months in Sweden when everybody goes on vacation so the owner of the garage probably slammed the door shut not knowing there was a cat in there and went on vacation for several weeks. When the came back and opened the door again he ran back to us. We nursed him back to health again and he lived happily for several more years. This was about 10 years ago so he has since past but he was by far the best cat i have ever had, RIP Nisse.
Have been following the news and updates, while watching your UA-cam playthroughs Cohh. So sorry for what you and the family are going through. Keep the hope.
I lost my 10 year old pit bull a couple of months ago to a heart attack. I feel your pain. Hope Letho gets back, but even if that doesn't happen, remember he/she was loved, cared for, and you did your best. At the end of the day, we can only do our best for our buddies!
Sorry for your loss Cohh, had a similar experience when losing one of my cats, the sibling came completely out of her shell after and i guess that was a way to put a silver lining on the whole traumatic experience, much love. x
I lost a cat the exact same way, workers in the house, she went into their van, and bolted out when they stopped. We searched the area for days, but never found a trace. Hope you are okay buddy, it really sucks losing a loved pet.

Can relate to dealing with heart conditions with our own cat, ours had a clot last March and went through two more right away, but despite a poor prognosis she's still with us even though we haven't been able to afford an echo. I hope your fur baby lives longer than expected as well, as long as they aren't suffering ❤ So sorry about your missing cat as well, that's one of my biggest fears since I lost a childhood dog that way. I still miss her and I'm an elder millennial, so that was forever ago. Whenever we buy a house I'll be making sure every entrance either has a screened in porch or some kind of foyer so that each one has two doorways to make it difficult for pets to get outside. Plus, it makes it easier to haul stuff into the house.
To add to this, there are FB groups for cats with heart conditions if you think it might help. If your fur baby has had issues with clots, there's a specific group for cats with clots and they have suggestions for breaking them up. I'm not sure if that's why our girl is still with us or not despite the vet saying she'd be gone by now, but she stopped taking the supplements suggested with her wet treats, so we've taken a break for now. I think our cats could tell I stressed too much trying to get her to eat all her supplements, but maybe I'll try again more casually at first.
Cohh no words can help what you are going through right now. All our animals want from us is love and affection. They ask nothing in return. Tears are falling on my keyboard as I type this. I am so so sorry for your and your family's loss. Not knowing has to be so so hard. I hope Letho is ok where ever he may be. Please remember everyone animals do not lie cheat or steal they just want your unconditional love!!!

I am so sorry for this happening. I had much the same happen a few years ago. My cat Misty got into a truck of a crew working on the lights in our backyard. She was gone for 3 months before coming back. It's happened with a few of our clinic's clients. I would suggest potentially letting the people that bought your previous houses know (especially if they are close-ish by) because I've known quite a few who's moved, their cat got out, and ended up returning to their old homes.
Same thing happened to me and our cat when we had work being done on our house. It's tough not being able to say goodbye and have the closure. Much love and good vibes to you and your family.

I understand what you're going through. About 4 years ago, three of my 5 cats somehow got out of the house. One of them was naturally an outside cat and we let outside every once in a while (we live in the woods and she was a stray so we never had to worry about cars or anything like that and she always came back when we let her out), the other two were indoors and we figured that whenever they got out, they must've followed our outdoors cat and either got lost or had unfortunate encounters with wild animals in the area. It was devastating every day when I woke up and remembered that they were gone. They didn't come back, but it was the hope that they would that got me through it even if the hope ended up not turning out. Long story short, Cohh. Don't give up hope. You're right that there's a chance he won't come back, but please keep in mind that there are two sides to that coin.
need to clean up my tears now. i get you ben 2 of my cats disappeared in a year of each other a few years ago. they had no health issues one we had since her birth a bit skiddish called fiesty the other a stray kitten called mickey loved him the most shh dont tell the others. anyway all the feels to you and the family even years latter my kitties are showing up in my dreams :) always and forever in my heart.
Sorry you're going thru this Cohh. I went thru the identical thing back in the early 90's as a kid. I had a kitty named Pudin that was about 7 years old and one day went missing. Best animal I've ever had and I'm actually a dog person. I never found out what happened but my hope over the years was that because he was so friendly , maybe he ended up with another family that gave him lots of love. Godspeed friend.

Hi Cohh! I've been following you for quite a while now, even though I might not be that active in chat. I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for what has happened to your cat Letho... And as someone who has been in a similar situation I just wanted to let you know that cats are extremely durable. I once had a cat that one day just disappeared with out a trace... she was gone for months, around 2-4 months... But then from out of no where she showed up again in our house, very thin and scared. So apparently what happened to her was that she walked into a "shipment truck" and was escorted all the way from our house to almost the other side of Sweden (So she traveled about half of Sweden). But she managed to get home safe! I hope that reading this might help you a little bit and keep your hopes up, cats have an extreme sense of direction, and survival instincts. All my prayers goes out to you and Letho
I feel your pain man, it's not easy. In March of 2021, on my birthday my cat Mitsy went outside for an afternoon and never returned. Then in December just before Christmas, my lovable chihuahua passed away from a heart condition. It was rough, it's still hard, but you keep on keepin' on.

Sometimes moving on is hard. My wonderful dog got cancer, I had about a year to say goodbye. Despite that, it was hard, and is still hard. Best wishes and feels for you and your family.

same here house construction and a cat was missing, at some point in life I had 4 cats, and I can see they have to readjust their social hierarchy and social bonding everytime a new guy comes in, now I'm down to just 2 and this old cat who has been a shy cat all her life but since now she is the senior her behavior changes to be more easy going around people, I feel your loss, stay strong, keep the good memory alive, and if by chance he is alive somewhere just know cat is a very adaptive animal, they are survivalist and smart. I only watch your video through youtube, thank you for hours of entertainment Cohh.

I understand your loss, we too just lost a dog under similar circumstances. Someone let her out of my yard and she bolted out of fear. I have been heartbroken since she left as we were unable to find her. I pray Letho is ok somewhere and i can definitely understand your desire to remove the emotes as they are harsh reminders. Even I had to take some pictures down as they were too much of a heartbreaking reminder and i could not look at them without crying. Losing a pet is HARSH!
We've had so many cats. We've had some get out and come back, and one that never did. You can always hope someone picked him up and decided to keep him and is taking good care of him. Good vibes to you and the fam.

I lost my cat to health reasons while he was at the vet less than a year ago. I know and relate to this pain. Your situation of NOT knowing or having any closure is worse I feel. Had a similar situation years ago..had workers in and cat went missing for three days...she ended up being stuck in the drop ceiling in the basement. Only time she ever got up there. I really hope you find your kitty.
It's super hard to lose our fur-kin, especially when they are skittish and sensitive. Wishing you all the best in dealing with it, talking through these feelings with the kids, and making it through this rough patch!

You have my deepest condolences, losing a pet is hard especially when you don't know what happened, I myself have lost several cats over the years and never found out what happened and just a couple days ago one of the cats I've been taking care of for a cousin who is out of state just died, it was hard and she wasn't even mine but she wormed her way in my heart, anyway I hope you get closure one day as unlikely as it at this point. Just remember the good times I don't watch that often but I could clearly see how much you and your family loved Letho.

I haven't been by your streams much lately, but as someone who gave streaming a try, I know how hard it is to continue to present yourself to people and enjoy yourself in front of an audience when something sad or painful is going on behind the scenes. About a year and a half after I bought my first home, I adopted a cat and she means the world to me. We've been roommates for almost 2 years now and I worry myself about her like she's my kid. I wish you the absolute best of luck in Letho making his return and am sending as many good vibes as I can to you and your family.
I'm sorry to hear about what you're dealing with, Cohh. I can understand how it feels. Years ago my grandmother's cat managed to slip outside, and our entire family showed up to help look for her. Thankfully, we found her cat hiding in the brush behind her house the same day, and she actually ran back into my grandmother's house shortly thereafter. I'll be praying that you find Letho safe and sound.

Take your time to grieve. Not giving false hope here, but cats and dogs do know how to find their way back home if they get lost, so there is a chance. We've had 2 do that to us. I went through the same thing a few years ago. I know how much the loss hurts, but also how not getting a closure makes you almost unfunctional. Thankfully, I got a call six weeks later (just when I gave up and stopped searching) from someone who recognized my cat from the posters I had put up, and I was able to get him back. I hope you also get the happy ending that I did.

Never comment on anything, but I recently had an experience similar to yours sadly. I'm in Germany, and you gotta open the windows fully over here to vent out the house and whatnot due to the lack of central heating and air. One night, my wife had forgotten to NOT do that unless the cat was locked away in another room, and she just... left. iirc, both of my kiddos were watching tv or something, so it was quiet on the first floor where the window was open, plus it was close to feeding time so she was either spooked out of the window while exploring the smells or whatnot, or just got too curious. I realized she was gone after bedtime and spent the night searching with no luck. Put a litterbox outside, left clothes with my smell draped on my fence, went out at night with strong flashlight to try and catch a glint of her eye nightly for a week or so. I went through the same cycles described here, and eventually just hoped for the best. If she wasn't coming back, maybe she just enjoyed being outside more? The only thing that kept me going during all of this were helpful neighbors not minding me peeking around everywhere, and constantly keeping me informed if they saw a cat matching mines description. Eventually she WAS led home after realizing she was basically setting up shop across the road of all places since there was a chicken coop in a wide-open field back there. I bought a cat trap and tried unsuccessfully to lure her in as she was either too smart or cautious. The thing that worked for me once I found out she was basically close most of the time even if I couldn't see her, was literally just leaving my door wide open at night with some fresh food out. I tied a strong to the door and sat on the couch like usual, passing out not soon after. I woke up to the sound of her inhaling her food, took a deep breath and just hoped for the best as I yanked on my janky cat-trap of sorts, lol. After trapping her in the house, it took a bit for her to come around and be friendly again, as I'm sure the experience shook her a bit, but ironically she's warmer now than ever before. I think I've either heard or read before that you live in NC-- my old stomping grounds! lol-- so it may or may not be feasible to try to lure her home with food like I did, plus having other cats currently at home might complicate things. Might be a solid investment to grab a decent nighttime wildlife camera however, and either try using a cat trap with some food as bait, or just leave food out in general each night to see if she does end up coming back around. Unless she did venture off in a car or end up dying unexpectedly, she might be around you somewhere. I'm sure you've read all of these tips before though, and if you had access to a dog trying to track her scent, maybe she did end up in a car. Very sorry to hear of your loss, but I know Letho had a good home while he was home, and at the end of the day that's the best we can do as pet owners.

I have been watching since pretty early on and know just how much your cats mean to you as do the children you have now and Laina whose been with you through it all. I am so very sorry to hear that he went on a solo quest without warning. I hope very much that you will see him again one day sooner rather than later and in good health as well. I hope that your children are doing ok as well, I know it can be harder for them to comprehend then it is for us adults. I'm sorry Cohh. We had something similar happen last year, had people putting in heating/cooling units, redoing piping tons of stuff and our Abby went missing for almost a week. We found her in our basement sleeping on the stairs, really hungry but okay aside from that. she found some place to curl up and hide for a week, just so much going on I guess she didn't feel safe. Hopefully something similar, and Letho turns up real soon and safe and sound.

I lost a cat around 2 years ago. It absolutely ruined my life. I feel deeply and sympathise for your loss. We have had cats disappear for months and come back. So please Cohh never lose hope. Good vibes and I hope he's OK.

Hey Cohh, sorry to hear about Letho... A few years ago one of my cats also missed a meal, and then another and another. She continued missing a meal for more than a year. The first half of the year we never stopped searching, but the second half we tried to make peace with the fact she's gone. After a year all of the sudden we get rang up by a veterinarian MILES away that they have our cat in surgery waiting to be neutered. But she was already neutered and thats when the vet checked for a chip and immediatly contacted us. Turns out some crazy lady picked her up out of our backyard.... I hope Letho comes back soon man.

I started watching around the time the time you got Letho, I think you were playing W3: Blood and Wine, so Letho has always been a part of my watching experience. I can only imagine your heartbreak and I totally support your decision make the emote transition. You need to to care of your own emotional health.

As someone who recently lost his cat in a similar way, this hits close to home. Our family cat ran away to the street shortly before the area around our home was hit with flood due to a heavy rain. It really hurt, especially because he's lost shortly before his birthday. I hope you get Letho back.

When moving house as a kid, our cat jumped out of the car when we were getting fuel over 100km from home, and we didn't know until we got to the new house. We got a call over a week later from our old neighbours that our cat had turned up at our old house and was meowing at the front door.
Ive heard many similar stories that a cat/dog has miraculously found their way home, but hoping for a miracle is just that - hope.
Don't lose hope dude, but also remember to temper hope within the bounds of reality otherwise you're just setting yourself up for more pain and heartache.

Lost the most lovable & intelligent & crazy dog to ever exist like that. I can't even begin to describe how exceptional he was, or how much we loved him & missed him. We hold hope that he lived a long life afterwards, wherever he went, and made his new family very happy. If you never hear from him again, remember chips aren't foolproof. I remember when you got him, and he has become "stream's kitty". he truly was such a big part of everyone's days and while it's going to be incredibly sad to end this chapter, I can't imagine how difficult it has been for you all to be asked about Letho constantly multiple times a day and to see those emotes being used...thank you for sharing him with us all on twitch.
My indoor cat Milo was lost for 3 months.
He was found, skinny, scared... but alive. He is still with me to this day. So, hope still exists. However, I totally understand moving forward
We recently lost our cat of +19 years, it hurt an awful lot but we had time to say goodbye. I can imagine the pain and questions your are experiencing now. Hoping for the best and wishing your family good strength going through all of this. Fingers crossed he is safe and returns to your doorstep one day or another. Take care.

So sorry to hear of your loss. The same thing happened with my dog when I was young. My dog had been trained to go outside every morning and bring in our newspaper (yes, it was that long ago). One morning he went out and never came back in. The worry and the lack of closure is always the hardest thing and it sucks to have to endure. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family during this time.

I just happened upon this channel within the last 24 hours. Even so, I am so sorry for your loss of Letho, and for Dimitri's terminal illness.
I hope that Letho manages to find his way back to you somehow. Or, should he not and you would prefer it, some form of closure finds its way to you.
Hopefully that closure is in the form of him coming home.
If changing emotes will help you process your grief, and move as much toward acceptance as one can with something like this, I would hope that no one would object to that change. Losing a family member, non-human or not, is difficult enough.
Completely support your decision. Letho is a paragon of a cat and an icon in me and my children's lives. Watching the pain in your face and feeling the pain of the community has been difficult. Thank you for providing an opportunity for closure and keeping the vibes of this community at it's heart.

We had this happen for one of our cats once. He was gone for over 5 weeks and we thaugt he was gone for good but he came back dirty, oily and looking like a skeleton. What we think happened is that he got out, got scared and ran into somebodys garage to hide. This was during the summer months in Sweden when everybody goes on vacation so the owner of the garage probably slammed the door shut not knowing there was a cat in there and went on vacation for several weeks. When the came back and opened the door again he ran back to us. We nursed him back to health again and he lived happily for several more years. This was about 10 years ago so he has since past but he was by far the best cat i have ever had, RIP Nisse.
Have been following the news and updates, while watching your UA-cam playthroughs Cohh. So sorry for what you and the family are going through. Keep the hope.
I lost my 10 year old pit bull a couple of months ago to a heart attack. I feel your pain. Hope Letho gets back, but even if that doesn't happen, remember he/she was loved, cared for, and you did your best. At the end of the day, we can only do our best for our buddies!

I lost a cat the exact same way, workers in the house, she went into their van, and bolted out when they stopped. We searched the area for days, but never found a trace. Hope you are okay buddy, it really sucks losing a loved pet.

Can relate to dealing with heart conditions with our own cat, ours had a clot last March and went through two more right away, but despite a poor prognosis she's still with us even though we haven't been able to afford an echo. I hope your fur baby lives longer than expected as well, as long as they aren't suffering ❤ So sorry about your missing cat as well, that's one of my biggest fears since I lost a childhood dog that way. I still miss her and I'm an elder millennial, so that was forever ago.
Whenever we buy a house I'll be making sure every entrance either has a screened in porch or some kind of foyer so that each one has two doorways to make it difficult for pets to get outside. Plus, it makes it easier to haul stuff into the house.
To add to this, there are FB groups for cats with heart conditions if you think it might help. If your fur baby has had issues with clots, there's a specific group for cats with clots and they have suggestions for breaking them up. I'm not sure if that's why our girl is still with us or not despite the vet saying she'd be gone by now, but she stopped taking the supplements suggested with her wet treats, so we've taken a break for now. I think our cats could tell I stressed too much trying to get her to eat all her supplements, but maybe I'll try again more casually at first.
Cohh no words can help what you are going through right now. All our animals want from us is love and affection. They ask nothing in return. Tears are falling on my keyboard as I type this. I am so so sorry for your and your family's loss. Not knowing has to be so so hard. I hope Letho is ok where ever he may be. Please remember everyone animals do not lie cheat or steal they just want your unconditional love!!!

I am so sorry for this happening. I had much the same happen a few years ago. My cat Misty got into a truck of a crew working on the lights in our backyard. She was gone for 3 months before coming back. It's happened with a few of our clinic's clients. I would suggest potentially letting the people that bought your previous houses know (especially if they are close-ish by) because I've known quite a few who's moved, their cat got out, and ended up returning to their old homes.
Same thing happened to me and our cat when we had work being done on our house. It's tough not being able to say goodbye and have the closure. Much love and good vibes to you and your family.

I understand what you're going through. About 4 years ago, three of my 5 cats somehow got out of the house. One of them was naturally an outside cat and we let outside every once in a while (we live in the woods and she was a stray so we never had to worry about cars or anything like that and she always came back when we let her out), the other two were indoors and we figured that whenever they got out, they must've followed our outdoors cat and either got lost or had unfortunate encounters with wild animals in the area. It was devastating every day when I woke up and remembered that they were gone. They didn't come back, but it was the hope that they would that got me through it even if the hope ended up not turning out.
Long story short, Cohh. Don't give up hope. You're right that there's a chance he won't come back, but please keep in mind that there are two sides to that coin.

Sorry you're going thru this Cohh. I went thru the identical thing back in the early 90's as a kid. I had a kitty named Pudin that was about 7 years old and one day went missing. Best animal I've ever had and I'm actually a dog person. I never found out what happened but my hope over the years was that because he was so friendly , maybe he ended up with another family that gave him lots of love. Godspeed friend.

Hi Cohh! I've been following you for quite a while now, even though I might not be that active in chat. I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for what has happened to your cat Letho... And as someone who has been in a similar situation I just wanted to let you know that cats are extremely durable. I once had a cat that one day just disappeared with out a trace... she was gone for months, around 2-4 months... But then from out of no where she showed up again in our house, very thin and scared. So apparently what happened to her was that she walked into a "shipment truck" and was escorted all the way from our house to almost the other side of Sweden (So she traveled about half of Sweden). But she managed to get home safe!
I hope that reading this might help you a little bit and keep your hopes up, cats have an extreme sense of direction, and survival instincts. All my prayers goes out to you and Letho
I feel your pain man, it's not easy. In March of 2021, on my birthday my cat Mitsy went outside for an afternoon and never returned. Then in December just before Christmas, my lovable chihuahua passed away from a heart condition. It was rough, it's still hard, but you keep on keepin' on.

Sometimes moving on is hard. My wonderful dog got cancer, I had about a year to say goodbye. Despite that, it was hard, and is still hard. Best wishes and feels for you and your family.

same here house construction and a cat was missing, at some point in life I had 4 cats, and I can see they have to readjust their social hierarchy and social bonding everytime a new guy comes in, now I'm down to just 2 and this old cat who has been a shy cat all her life but since now she is the senior her behavior changes to be more easy going around people, I feel your loss, stay strong, keep the good memory alive, and if by chance he is alive somewhere just know cat is a very adaptive animal, they are survivalist and smart. I only watch your video through youtube, thank you for hours of entertainment Cohh.

I understand your loss, we too just lost a dog under similar circumstances. Someone let her out of my yard and she bolted out of fear. I have been heartbroken since she left as we were unable to find her. I pray Letho is ok somewhere and i can definitely understand your desire to remove the emotes as they are harsh reminders. Even I had to take some pictures down as they were too much of a heartbreaking reminder and i could not look at them without crying. Losing a pet is HARSH!
We've had so many cats. We've had some get out and come back, and one that never did. You can always hope someone picked him up and decided to keep him and is taking good care of him. Good vibes to you and the fam.

I lost my cat to health reasons while he was at the vet less than a year ago. I know and relate to this pain. Your situation of NOT knowing or having any closure is worse I feel. BUT we are here for you, to support each other and keep those good vibes. I appreciate this video and it will hopefully help others in the community understand what is going on too. Had a similar situation years ago..had workers in and cat went missing for three days...she ended up being stuck in the drop ceiling in the basement. Only time she ever got up there. I really hope you find your kitty.

You have my deepest condolences, losing a pet is hard especially when you don't know what happened, I myself have lost several cats over the years and never found out what happened and just a couple days ago one of the cats I've been taking care of for a cousin who is out of state just died, it was hard and she wasn't even mine but she wormed her way in my heart, anyway I hope you get closure one day as unlikely as it at this point. Just remember the good times I don't watch that often but I could clearly see how much you and your family loved Letho.

I have been in this exact situation before, one of my cats went missing many years ago, but we never got closure and we do not know what happened to her, so I know full well the pain you have.

I haven't been by your streams much lately, but as someone who gave streaming a try, I know how hard it is to continue to present yourself to people and enjoy yourself in front of an audience when something sad or painful is going on behind the scenes. About a year and a half after I bought my first home, I adopted a cat and she means the world to me. We've been roommates for almost 2 years now and I worry myself about her like she's my kid. I wish you the absolute best of luck in Letho making his return and am sending as many good vibes as I can to you and your family.

I'm sorry to hear about what you're dealing with, Cohh. I can understand how it feels. Years ago my grandmother's cat managed to slip outside, and our entire family showed up to help look for her. Thankfully, we found her cat hiding in the brush behind her house the same day, and she actually ran back into my grandmother's house shortly thereafter.

I went through the same thing a few years ago. I know how much the loss hurts, but also how not getting a closure makes you almost unfunctional. Thankfully, I got a call six weeks later (just when I gave up and stopped searching) from someone who recognized my cat from the posters I had put up, and I was able to get him back. I hope you also get the happy ending that I did.

Never comment on anything, but I recently had an experience similar to yours sadly. I'm in Germany, and you gotta open the windows fully over here to vent out the house and whatnot due to the lack of central heating and air. One night, my wife had forgotten to NOT do that unless the cat was locked away in another room, and she just... left. iirc, both of my kiddos were watching tv or something, so it was quiet on the first floor where the window was open, plus it was close to feeding time so she was either spooked out of the window while exploring the smells or whatnot, or just got too curious.
I realized she was gone after bedtime and spent the night searching with no luck. Put a litterbox outside, left clothes with my smell draped on my fence, went out at night with strong flashlight to try and catch a glint of her eye nightly for a week or so. I went through the same cycles described here, and eventually just hoped for the best. If she wasn't coming back, maybe she just enjoyed being outside more?
The only thing that kept me going during all of this were helpful neighbors not minding me peeking around everywhere, and constantly keeping me informed if they saw a cat matching mines description. Eventually she WAS led home after realizing she was basically setting up shop across the road of all places since there was a chicken coop in a wide-open field back there. I bought a cat trap and tried unsuccessfully to lure her in as she was either too smart or cautious. The thing that worked for me once I found out she was basically close most of the time even if I couldn't see her, was literally just leaving my door wide open at night with some fresh food out. I tied a strong to the door and sat on the couch like usual, passing out not soon after. I woke up to the sound of her inhaling her food, took a deep breath and just hoped for the best as I yanked on my janky cat-trap of sorts, lol. After trapping her in the house, it took a bit for her to come around and be friendly again, as I'm sure the experience shook her a bit, but ironically she's warmer now than ever before.
I think I've either heard or read before that you live in NC-- my old stomping grounds! lol-- so it may or may not be feasible to try to lure her home with food like I did, plus having other cats currently at home might complicate things. Might be a solid investment to grab a decent nighttime wildlife camera however, and either try using a cat trap with some food as bait, or just leave food out in general each night to see if she does end up coming back around. Unless she did venture off in a car or end up dying unexpectedly, she might be around you somewhere.
I'm sure you've read all of these tips before though, and if you had access to a dog trying to track her scent, maybe she did end up in a car.
Very sorry to hear of your loss, but I know Letho had a good home while he was home, and at the end of the day that's the best we can do as pet owners.

I have been watching since pretty early on and know just how much your cats mean to you as do the children you have now and Laina whose been with you through it all. I am so very sorry to hear that he went on a solo quest without warning. I hope very much that you will see him again one day sooner rather than later and in good health as well. I hope that your children are doing ok as well, I know it can be harder for them to comprehend then it is for us adults. I'm sorry Cohh. We had something similar happen last year, had people putting in heating/cooling units, redoing piping tons of stuff and our Abby went missing for almost a week. We found her in our basement sleeping on the stairs, really hungry but okay aside from that. she found some place to curl up and hide for a week, just so much going on I guess she didn't feel safe. Hopefully something similar, and Letho turns up real soon and safe and sound.
