    The fastest way to tie a knot is to have time to see how to tie it.

    I used to use butterfly knots to make ladders. A quick and dirty way is to use marlin spikes instead

    Don’t get sloppy. These videos are pointless if you don’t do one slow enough to show everybody how to do it.

    Although I am pretty sure I'm shadowbanned, I'll risk it this once:
    For those who want the "How", he takes makes 2 loops. The first is the one he pulls, crosses over the second and pushes through where his left had was. I use a similar method at work which is slightly more useful as this method limits how big the loop can be. My method, the isolated loop can be as long as you want. Litterally meters long.
    If anybody is interested, HMU, I might do a vid **with** explanation.

      @vforveranda4788 2 місяці тому

      **takes first loop behind the standing line (taught part at top of knot).

    If you had a chance to inspect the knot you would probably find it's not really a butterfly knot at all . I personally found another video where the knot was incorrect !

      Wrong. It *is* a proper Alpine Butterfly. Tie it as he does and you can verify for yourself.

      You have an entire minute, try a slow motion shot and different camera angles, or do the knot with an old toilet paper tube instead of your hand! As it is, it's a fast loop of useless nothing.
