Awesome concise yet creative and informative review. I agree a separate pocket for smaller items would have been nice, but it's basically the only saddlebag this size not totally hideous available on the market today so there's that 😅
I bought one of these to replace the excellent Ortlieb Saddle Bag M that was beginning to fail. I had to return it as the capacity is WAY less than the 4.1L stated and a lot smaller than the Saddle Bag M that it supposedly replaces. There is no way on Earth that this has even a 3L capacity when closed, let alone 4.1L. Good video, but Orlieb need to market this as a 2.5L bag!

I am awaiting delivery of the 2022 Trek Domane and most of the seat tube storage that I have will not work with it since it has the seat mast as part of the frame and relatively short seat post. I need to find a suitable storage solution for day trips. This might be it!
Very cool animation! Great video. My criticisms for this are that the mount does not play well with a Brooks saddle and they don't make a Black Reflective version (yet they make a Neon Yellow Reflective version).
Looks like a good size bag for minimalists, but I gotta say Why in the world do they design where the roll-up tab is rolling/closing upward because rain and mud can easily collect there!! If the tab is reversed, the bag would be looking cleaner and overall aesthetically way better! IDK. What do you think? But I think I'll get one and close the other way... :-)
OK. So I got the bag... and been using it for awhile now. I agree, rolling it downward takes a tad more effort when you're stuffing things in while it's attached to the seat. However, I've always packed when the bag is unattached and have no problem at all. This way it's easy to get pretty much all the air out and compresses better. So far, for this small size, for those minimalists who are on the look out and want another visual idea... I've packed this little bag with an Eno Sub6 hammock with Helios suspension hammock straps, Gossamer Gear solo tarp
@@ddahstan6876 Same here! I bought the pack yesterday and I concur that rolling it unattached makes it super easy. I also found out that folding the opening toward the bag bottom before rolling it removes most of the air. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
