    Thank you for the video. Brought back so much memories. I own (and still drive) an E90 M47 automatic, same engine. Replaced the turbo, valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket (something still leaks, but not serious. I'm holding off on rechecking them and just topping up every 5000 km for now). Replaced the vibration damper more than once. Also did the 4 shocks, front suspension parts and multiple brake jobs. Now at 230k KM, still kinda reliable. Keep the videos coming!!!

    Check crankshaft pulleys if they are fine... They are common problem on m47 engine. I own a 2007 320d e90 with 163 hp m47 engine and I had to change crankshaft pulley

    What do you need to do to bleed the fuel system with the software?

    Jeg byttet turbo på min for 3 år siden, jeg tok heller av DPF og tok turboen ned istedenfor å ta av manifold. :) Men moro å se du får det til!

      Når jeg tenker meg om så ble jeg usikker om jeg tok den ned xD Men men....

      @@nielssen21 jada du har det rett, fult mulig å gjøre ned fra, men toppdeksel pakningen lekka olja, så gjorde det bare overfra :)

    Awesome vid, Any recommendation on chemicals to clean plastics with? Like what did you clean the valve cover with? I always have issues with getting plastic parts clean.

    • @EMSGARAGEE61
      @EMSGARAGEE61  Рік тому

      Thanks, well depends where you are based, but i used the chemical (grill cleaner) that i showed in the video, brake cleaner, and a lot of scrubbing. In your case just test a few different cleaners and degreasers that you have access to and you will find a good one eventually.

    Why is it so dirty? Any thoughts on how to keep mine clean, I try and use premium fuel most weeks?

    • @EMSGARAGEE61
      @EMSGARAGEE61  Рік тому +1

      Not quite sure, I guess the previous owner just used it and didn’t take care on it, so the bad gaskets and washers just kept leaking

    • @EMSGARAGEE61
      @EMSGARAGEE61  Рік тому

      Thanks, no i am not a mechanic by any means, it’s just my hobby. Yeah there are a lot of people doing it, so to find and buy these cars are challenging😁
