Don't start that motor until you check your impeller! 99% chance that's why you lost water flow! Also, that backfire was the motor going lean. Fuel delivery issue of some kind.
Glad I got to see you got it going, likei said I was looking at it I'm probably going to find a baja from north fesh water. Good channel bro I'm suscribing
Risers are alway problems with rust but make sure you replace your rubber impeller in the water pump.if it was existing the rubber will curve and Not have the water pumping as well as if the fins on a new impeller as it would be straight n firm but, make sure you twist the impeller the correct way.the way the engine turns or that will be an issue n not work right.boats are great but they can be a real pain in the butt when things go wrong.
That's the worst when you work on your rig an you are so skeptical about every noise an how its running you did good by taking it out so many times an testing it that's the only way to see the problems a lot of people don't get the opportunity to take it out as much as you did you couldn't win
In most places I would agree with you but where I live in Florida the water never gets that cold. I’m not saying it can’t happen but I’ve never ran a thermostat in a boat and I’ve never had a problem. Thanks for watching!
You guys did good finding the problems 🤟🏽
I appreciate it! Thanks for watching!
Make sure you put a bottle of the Marine gas additive.not the regular red stuff. It will make that engine run great.

I have a 32 ft Baja outlaw but still, your boat is good.make sure the timing is set for the octane 89 or real high test 93 timing will be different.

Yes sir, the water pump is always the first thing I replace no matter what.
Get an Aeromotive auxiliary fuel pump, it will run so much better.
I’ll have to look into that! I appreciate it!
What size dia and prop pitch you using on that ripper
Not sure of the diameter but I believe it’s a 21 p
That’s a sweet boat for 2k

You can not run that engine without a thermostat you will crack the block . For sure lake water is to cold coming in to the block.
