DeWalt Light DCL182, DCL183…are these perfect?

- We’re seeing if one of these DeWALT lights can earn a place in our lives. Does it past the test for camping, home duty’s and work? Time will tell but we first need to see who in fact built these DeWALT lights (dcl182, dcl183).
I like the fact that whatever mode you are using, when you turn it off, then go to use it again it's in the same mode and you don't have to toggle constantly. Plus if it's on more than 5 seconds it's shuts directly off, no toggling between modes.
This comment is for your followers: I've opened the DCL182 and it has 2 rechargeable 21700 cells of 2,000mAh each. So, all you need to do is swap them for two 5,000mAh and you'll more than double the runtime. Giddy up!!
Both are badass, I own 4 of each. Totally worth the money. I use working on my sailboat and Land Cruiser or adventures in all my edc

The work light can work in simple "on/off" mode.
e.g. if you want to run it on medium turn it on, set it to medium, wait five seconds then turn it off. When turned back on it will go straight to medium. As long as you wait at least five seconds before turning it off it will turn straight off without cycling modes. Turn it back on and straight back to medium it goes.

The flashlight is awesome and it’s became my dog walking light. Lanyard light was not my favorite but is still a nice light. No hating here.

Are the rechargeable batteries easily replaceable when they refuse to recharge?
That is a really good question. I believe the dcl183 flash light style back could be removed. The lanyard style probably is split in two under the over mold. Good question though.
NITECORE NWL20, identical design, removable 21700 battery, spot and flood, $34.99, I put a 6000 mah battery in mine, at 600 lumens that 6000 mah lasts a looong time

They don’t give you free tools because if they wanted a comedian to promote their tools (work lights in this case) they’d hire a real one.
