Very good demonstration into these amazing lights, I was going to order the baby one, thank you for pointing out that hot-spot, which is a bit annoying, so have decided on the work light one instead.
I ended up buying the DCL043, spotlight, Wow this thing sure is bright. Came home shined it across the field, could use for shining deer. I am really happy so far. Just curious how long battery will last on high and on low setting. love it. thank you
Good review but I wish they all had more mode options. 1000, 500, 50, and 10 lumens would be nice. Most flashlight’s over $50 have all of these options. My maglites and my nitecore lights blow these away but dewalt batteries are handy since we already have them with our tools.
I bought one last week at home Depot and it is updated and it is 1000 lumens and 500 lumens low with same model number...100% correct. and is very bright.
You have messed up the model markings, those should be DLC040, DLC043 and DLC050. Now there is in the title DLC040, DLC050 and DLC060 and in the links DLC040 and DLC050 twice.

Great review. One out of thousands of reviews that actually show the light output plus side by side and darkness comparison! Outstanding job, subd!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for the support!
Great review, answered all my questions, thanks for your help time in making this 👍
Glad I could help!

Good work thanks ! I now know that I need the floodlight 👍
Glad I could help
I like that 050 which can be set up as a 'stand' mode for some electronics work!!
Thanks for sharing your opinion
Thank you for sharing. I think I'll get the small one
Glad it was helpful!
Great video! It was absolutely perfect, all information and with no filler, or bullshit. Please do more!
Thanks I have another one coming soon with runtime tests.
This was helpful, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!

Sounds great, thanks for sharing your experience!
What's the battery run time on spotlight?? The second one? I'm interested on getting one for power out
I didn't get a chance to test it yet.
@@ToolsElectroDIY I just ordered thanks for the defuse idea
@@pilinke11 I hope you enjoy it.
20 anos.
Gracias por el video, me ayudo a decirme!!
You are welcome. Which one did you buy?
I believe the DCL050 has been updated (but kept the same model number). It’s 1000 lumens on high and 500 on low. Cheers!
Thanks for letting me know

@@Oemford91 Thanks for sharing this info.
@@ToolsElectroDIY 🙂
Yeah its "Type 2"
What's the runtime on the third one?
I will post another video on runtime, stay tuned.
Do brightness change with different capacity batteries?
NO
What’s the model# on the big spotlight because the one I have is dcl 043 and it does have a high and then the red low light
I think now it is called DCL043 amzn.to/3jEsWjv (affiliate link)
Thank you, i know exactly what i need after watching a short video
Glad it was helpful! Just curious, which flashlight did you choose?
@@ToolsElectroDIY DCL050, will be used as workshop light
Very good video
Thanks
Gen 2 they bumped low setting to 500 on dcl050
Sounds good. I'd like to test it next time.

Keep the powerful 2000 Lm beside my bed and in the car for emergency use
sounds good
It’s a shame that these expensive flashlights use cheap PWM control
How can you tell?
@@ToolsElectroDIY by the flickering effect on the camera. The constant current circuitry does not do that.
@@TheMrRafaelB I see. It cannot be used as a video light. It's for job site work light :D
Yep, It’s like all they do is wrap one of their cases around some cheap Walmart flashlight and put out numbers like 1000 lm like that’s any big thing.
040 type 1 with red light is better for night and 050 has type 2 now and brighter
What does type mean here?
@@ToolsElectroDIY it means generation of the model. check your label on the tool
@@ometofu I see thanks
