It depends of course which difficulty you play. For Core and below basically anything will work (for this difficulty game requires only decent builds for companions and knowledge of mechanics). For Hard and Unfair I would reccomend Ember (can be either standard burning ember or Ember support with invesment into summons), Kesto pivoted into Court Poet with dual throwing axes, Paladin (cus of mark of justice), divine caster can be Daeran or Cleric mercenary domain bot, and Galfrey or Nenio (can be for example focused on cold spells) or bow Camellia should do also.
Very good content and guides, I’m on my first run of the game with your builds and they work extremelly well so I can enjoy the mecanics! Maybe what you could add is a small part regarding the gameplay of the class: what spell should I priotize in combat ? What is the basic ´rotation’ ?. And maybe another idea is to add the ideal companions with the class (I know you did a video regarding the conpanions but maybe the composition change depending on the class? That’s all, i return to finish the game and begin a new run with your other builds !

Btw, not enough ppl know about this, but any damage spell caster can benefit greatly from having free booter ranger in the party. You see, free booter bane gives bonus to damage to all sources. So for example My caster can throw magic missle and get +5 dmage on EACH missle... That is basically doubling the base damage, which is 1d4... Considering how rare spell dmg per die rolled mechanic is, free booter buff is one of the few ways you can improve damage of the entire party. Mark of justice also works, but it is very expensive to do each fight

You can only make two. Treasure if you keep the Lucky Bracers which is ideal. Then you can sacrifice Romance OR get a free pass if you didn't romance anyone, which is then praised by the Lich Mentor! You don't have to sacrifice youth at all. Glad I was able to help!
Another thing to add! If you want to do summons (as I did) you can use the Brazen Whip with the Boots of Free Rein since this build doesn't exactly have a boots item equip. With that, the summons get an extra attack and you don't get the slow debuff. Fantastic guide though, used it as a base for my most current build; I completely forgot that Eldritch Knight existed, and didn't even think of the combo with Shatter Defense.

If I wanted to cut out some of the combat feats like lunge and power attack and teamwork feats to focus on being a spellcaster who has just a little bit of melee potential what would you recommend? Which spell caster feats should I add? Id appreciate any advice, I'm on casual difficulties so it doesn't need to be perfect either
After trying out this build, I think I must disagree with picking up Spell Focus Conjuration, as Augment Summoning does not stack with Commanding Infusion.
Happy new year crpgbro. You got me through multiple play throughs! Before i start my final playthrough for demon what's your advice for a fun demon playthrough ?
I had a lot of fun as a mutation warrior 18/Instinctual Warrior 2 with the oblate background (cha is the dump stat). The barbarian levels are very front loaded but you're balancing that off against mutagen progression. The saves end up very good. My guy specialised in glaive. You've watched these videos so you know what to do with feats. Didn't use all that demon shape change shit. I think about using a mod to give yourself more demon rages per day is not unreasonable but the base classes are strong enough anyway. Hitting a 2k vital strike regularly is fun.
@@venbruen I can't remember exactly what I did. I think I did the cleaving finish stuff but ducked on vital strike because I brought a skald along and so charging was always on the menu. If you went with a weapon with better critical range like a fauchard instead of glaive the return on the vital strike line would be a lot better. Some of the above stuff might be unclear now. When I was first writing I was partially thinking about my most recent trickster run and internally lamenting that my demon didn't do vital strike.
Demon Barbarian Build is coming pretty soon! Demon Cavalier & Kineticist are the two ones I would recommend as they have the biggest synergy with Demon Abilities.

Usually my Full Magic builds are also capable of melee, you can go with any of my merged caster guides: Angel Druid/Shaman/Cleric/Oracle or Lich Witch/Wizard/Sorcerer. Been looking for a Dhampir guide, for a mercenary fighter. And this is the closest I have found, guees on the plus side, i'll have more feat selection :D. Quick question, are the blood drinker/feaster feats as well as the Life-dominant soul feat worth it? They seem good to have but if they are limited to just 3 times per day...im not sure tbh.
Hi there, you cannot ressurrect enemies permanently, sadly. Lich does get spells that let you raise enemies for the duration of the entire map you're at, but once you leave the area you'll also lose them. "Repurpose" is the first spell that does this at level 5. You DO get permanent unique undead party members however as I explain here: ua-cam.com/video/lRmz4j6taPs/v-deo.html
Hi Bro, It is a nice guide you have made there, for one of my favorit classes the "necromancer". But I have a question. You mentioned in many of your guides that you have a mercenary skald for buffing in your party. I wonder if it would be a good choice for this character, because he is also a caster and rage powers prevent spell casting. Wouldn't it be better to have dirge bard in the party instead?
Quite a bit actually, the reason you use Bardiche is cause of the special Death Cousant (or whatever it’s named) that lets you scale Atk and dmg off of INT. So, you would be splitting stats and gear instead of laser focusing INT
Enjoying the build so far, but I'm finding my spellbook is a level higher than the guide, I have level 7 spells at level 11 instead of level 6 spells so I'm not sure what's happening there haha
people always choose true strike in guides, but in what situation would it be used realistically? I can only think of one or 2 times true strike is worth "wasting" a turn for a somewhat guaranteed hit the next turn
True Strike can be prebuffed with, since it actually lasts around 2 rounds. You can also extend it through Lesser Extend Rods, although the bonus is spent after the first attack. Realistically, you would use it to ensure your first attack hits against tough bosses on let's say Unfair. If that attack is a crit, it will then proc chains of Attack of Opportunity from nearby party members.
I'm following along and I've gotten to mythic level 4 at level 13, now I can't take shatter defenses because it says I need weapon focus bows and dazzling display which my skeleton marksman does not have, has something been changed since you made this or am I doing something wrong?

Exploiter Wizard definitely makes for a stronger archetype. I don't think Lunge is as needed since you can have a reach weapon (Death's Consonant Bardiche) + Enlarge/Legendary Proportions later.

Hi there and thanks! Ranged can work, especially as you get Martial Weapons Proficiency with this build, it's just that melee tends to be easier, especially when combined with Eldritch Knight for more damage/attacks.

You can go with 6 Wizard/10 Eldrich Knight/4 Hellknight Signifer if you want 16 base attack bonus for 4 attacks per round, but you give up several feats. Also, the Eldritch Knight's Spell Critical gives you a free quickened spell whenever you confirm a critical so using a weapon with a higher critical range like the Fauchard can let you trigger that ability more often.
The worst part of the curomancer is that its sacrificing a bunch of normal wizerd stuff to get weaker versions, and the one unique bonus, better undead, is only half as useful as it looks at first glance. It's atualy only +4 strength. Because undead use charisma instead of constitution. Basic necro wizard is indisputably better, mechanically.

Something I noticed actually, was that the Warpriest can use their fervor to swift action summon creatures because while they can't use it to swift action out random things like command, because you target yourself, you can use it to summon creatures with the only downside being they will always appear next to you, since your personal space is the target
@@cRPGBro thanks for replying so quickly even though its an older video. that alone deserves a sub. still if you don't mind can you answer a few more things? 1) how is harm and negative eruption giving you temp hp? is it an item, feat, or does the spell description just not mention temp hp? 2) for vampiric touch, feast of blood and siphon life, how do you go past the caster level number limit? is it stuff like metamagic or rods? some crazy numbers there. I love stuff like temp hp and DR but never thought it was optimal so I ignored them all, but really cool to see it so effective
@@clone104dThanks for the sub! 1. Harm is giving Temp. HP due to Daeran's Life Mystery Revelation called Spirit Boost, as for Negative Eruption, it already gives Temp. HP by default. 2. Metamagic Rods is the way to go for that!
You focus first on reach weapons like Glaives & Bardiches, which are the best early weapon anyways. Reach means you can attack behind your tanks so the enemies won't focus on you. Then you also cast Grease first to knock enemies down consistently, which prevents them from attacking and also inflicts a sharp penalty to melee AC.
Definitely this one because it is a merged caster, so becomes more powerful earlier, right when you choose Lich at the start of Chapter 3! But ideally I'd go with my Lich King here: ua-cam.com/video/UU8sD4vHQxQ/v-deo.html Just don't bother picking Elemental Barrage since it doesn't work with melee anymore.
I can try some of them, but usually they're far better off with pets. Easier if you have them as reach characters then, so you won't need to rely on the pet's AC through mounted combat.
I really hope that you just skip the human/half-elf options. They're so bad they're not worth making a build out of and there's no decent path out of them that's better than just base slayer/rogue. The kitsune sorc too, probably. But they're fine as a merged lich, just nothing impressive.

I still don't think the archetype is anything I'd want to play, nor do I think it's something that really captures the imagination as a racial fantasy like a 9-tailed kitsune or a reformed fiend or something and that's what I value in the ancestry-specific options, solid theming. But I'm happy that it at least seems viable

Do you make all 3 sacrifices for this build or do you miss the sacrifice youth?

You can only make two.
Treasure if you keep the Lucky Bracers which is ideal.
Then you can sacrifice Romance OR get a free pass if you didn't romance anyone, which is then praised by the Lich Mentor!
You don't have to sacrifice youth at all.

Another thing to add! If you want to do summons (as I did) you can use the Brazen Whip with the Boots of Free Rein since this build doesn't exactly have a boots item equip. With that, the summons get an extra attack and you don't get the slow debuff.
Fantastic guide though, used it as a base for my most current build; I completely forgot that Eldritch Knight existed, and didn't even think of the combo with Shatter Defense.

If I wanted to cut out some of the combat feats like lunge and power attack and teamwork feats to focus on being a spellcaster who has just a little bit of melee potential what would you recommend?
Which spell caster feats should I add? Id appreciate any advice, I'm on casual difficulties so it doesn't need to be perfect either
Word of warning: If you respec and dump STR, you will not be able to take Power Attack. You need 13 STR for this.
Would this build work with sychte instead of bardiche or would i miss every attack?
After trying out this build, I think I must disagree with picking up Spell Focus Conjuration, as Augment Summoning does not stack with Commanding Infusion.
Happy new year crpgbro. You got me through multiple play throughs! Before i start my final playthrough for demon what's your advice for a fun demon playthrough ?
I had a lot of fun as a mutation warrior 18/Instinctual Warrior 2 with the oblate background (cha is the dump stat). The barbarian levels are very front loaded but you're balancing that off against mutagen progression. The saves end up very good. My guy specialised in glaive. You've watched these videos so you know what to do with feats. Didn't use all that demon shape change shit. I think about using a mod to give yourself more demon rages per day is not unreasonable but the base classes are strong enough anyway. Hitting a 2k vital strike regularly is fun.
@@richardforde1 so you did the teleport vital strike+cleave line? Do you need to grab mythic vital strike ?
@@venbruen I can't remember exactly what I did. I think I did the cleaving finish stuff but ducked on vital strike because I brought a skald along and so charging was always on the menu. If you went with a weapon with better critical range like a fauchard instead of glaive the return on the vital strike line would be a lot better.
Some of the above stuff might be unclear now. When I was first writing I was partially thinking about my most recent trickster run and internally lamenting that my demon didn't do vital strike.

Demon Cavalier & Kineticist are the two ones I would recommend as they have the biggest synergy with Demon Abilities.
Would you recommend choosing another wizard and dhampir instead of this sub class?

Great build, I was looking for something like this to go through inevitable excess, wich might I ask you to cover how to get all of the rewards in it steps by steps for your main campaign and with the lich helmet too ? I was searching but I couldn't find a video that goes in details with it.

Usually my Full Magic builds are also capable of melee, you can go with any of my merged caster guides: Angel Druid/Shaman/Cleric/Oracle or Lich Witch/Wizard/Sorcerer.

Quick question, are the blood drinker/feaster feats as well as the Life-dominant soul feat worth it? They seem good to have but if they are limited to just 3 times per day...im not sure tbh.

Hi there, you cannot ressurrect enemies permanently, sadly.
Lich does get spells that let you raise enemies for the duration of the entire map you're at, but once you leave the area you'll also lose them. "Repurpose" is the first spell that does this at level 5.

It is a nice guide you have made there, for one of my favorit classes the "necromancer". But I have a question. You mentioned in many of your guides that you have a mercenary skald for buffing in your party. I wonder if it would be a good choice for this character, because he is also a caster and rage powers prevent spell casting. Wouldn't it be better to have dirge bard in the party instead?
What would change in the build if I would use scythe instead of bardiche?
Quite a bit actually, the reason you use Bardiche is cause of the special Death Cousant (or whatever it’s named) that lets you scale Atk and dmg off of INT.
So, you would be splitting stats and gear instead of laser focusing INT

Enjoying the build so far, but I'm finding my spellbook is a level higher than the guide, I have level 7 spells at level 11 instead of level 6 spells so I'm not sure what's happening there haha

Yes, I plan on revisiting Magus as the last guide is somewhat old, back when Elemental Barrage for melee was still a thing.

people always choose true strike in guides, but in what situation would it be used realistically? I can only think of one or 2 times true strike is worth "wasting" a turn for a somewhat guaranteed hit the next turn
True Strike can be prebuffed with, since it actually lasts around 2 rounds.
You can also extend it through Lesser Extend Rods, although the bonus is spent after the first attack.
Realistically, you would use it to ensure your first attack hits against tough bosses on let's say Unfair.
If that attack is a crit, it will then proc chains of Attack of Opportunity from nearby party members.

I'm following along and I've gotten to mythic level 4 at level 13, now I can't take shatter defenses because it says I need weapon focus bows and dazzling display which my skeleton marksman does not have, has something been changed since you made this or am I doing something wrong?
Sadly they removed the ability for the Skeleton Pet to pick any Feat through Fighter spec.
Thanks for all the hard work you do! I was thinking of switching from this to the exploiter wizard version of the build. I was wondering if/where you would take the lunge feat and which one you would replace with it?
Exploiter Wizard definitely makes for a stronger archetype.
I don't think Lunge is as needed since you can have a reach weapon (Death's Consonant Bardiche) + Enlarge/Legendary Proportions later.

Ranged can work, especially as you get Martial Weapons Proficiency with this build, it's just that melee tends to be easier, especially when combined with Eldritch Knight for more damage/attacks.

Sorry I think I missed one thing, where does the permanent summon effect come from? Surely it's not enduring spells?
Greater Enduring Spells, then having at least 25 CL + Extend Spell.
This way, 1 round/level spells will become 24h.
Arcanist for Lich? It has benefits for high charisma
Lich Arcanist is a top tier choice and the best for Arcanist because it can merge with Lich as a full Arcane Caster.

You can go with 6 Wizard/10 Eldrich Knight/4 Hellknight Signifer if you want 16 base attack bonus for 4 attacks per round, but you give up several feats. Also, the Eldritch Knight's Spell Critical gives you a free quickened spell whenever you confirm a critical so using a weapon with a higher critical range like the Fauchard can let you trigger that ability more often.

That can be done too, it's just that I already had a very similar setup for my Lich King Build.

The worst part of the curomancer is that its sacrificing a bunch of normal wizerd stuff to get weaker versions, and the one unique bonus, better undead, is only half as useful as it looks at first glance. It's atualy only +4 strength. Because undead use charisma instead of constitution. Basic necro wizard is indisputably better, mechanically.
Yes, sadly it's a pretty underwhelming archetype.
But thankfully Lich merging is so strong anything can work!

Something I noticed actually, was that the Warpriest can use their fervor to swift action summon creatures because while they can't use it to swift action out random things like command, because you target yourself, you can use it to summon creatures with the only downside being they will always appear next to you, since your personal space is the target

Temporary HP stacks from different sources 😃, even if spells, so long as it's not the exact same spell.

1) how is harm and negative eruption giving you temp hp? is it an item, feat, or does the spell description just not mention temp hp?
2) for vampiric touch, feast of blood and siphon life, how do you go past the caster level number limit? is it stuff like metamagic or rods? some crazy numbers there.
I love stuff like temp hp and DR but never thought it was optimal so I ignored them all, but really cool to see it so effective

1. Harm is giving Temp. HP due to Daeran's Life Mystery Revelation called Spirit Boost, as for Negative Eruption, it already gives Temp. HP by default.
2. Metamagic Rods is the way to go for that!
How do you play as a melee wizard? Arent you very squishy?
You focus first on reach weapons like Glaives & Bardiches, which are the best early weapon anyways.
Reach means you can attack behind your tanks so the enemies won't focus on you.
Then you also cast Grease first to knock enemies down consistently, which prevents them from attacking and also inflicts a sharp penalty to melee AC.

Definitely this one because it is a merged caster, so becomes more powerful earlier, right when you choose Lich at the start of Chapter 3!

I can try some of them, but usually they're far better off with pets.
Easier if you have them as reach characters then, so you won't need to rely on the pet's AC through mounted combat.

I really hope that you just skip the human/half-elf options. They're so bad they're not worth making a build out of and there's no decent path out of them that's better than just base slayer/rogue. The kitsune sorc too, probably. But they're fine as a merged lich, just nothing impressive.

@@cRPGBro I saw! And I'm not a hater of the race, my only actually finished run was as a half elf. I still don't think the archetype is anything I'd want to play, nor do I think it's something that really captures the imagination as a racial fantasy like a 9-tailed kitsune or a reformed fiend or something and that's what I value in the ancestry-specific options, solid theming. But I'm happy that it at least seems viable
