Sorry for sloppy Franglish - I only started learning a couple weeks ago
@@abunchoftvs4018it’s argued that it should stop being played as it was written by Henry Fillmore who wrote for black face back in the early 1900’s but honestly that shouldn’t be any reason for it to stop being played since it’s a good piece.
OMG another trombonist named Norman. I never thought it possible!
Definitely a fun tune for L. Welk dancing crowd.!!!
this is champion! esp. the bari sax on the background.
IKR SUCH A GREAT SONG

What a pleasant sounding song, hope it doesn't have any racist implications
That's called foreshadowing
I played that but it was way faster. It sounds better slower.

@@trombonist-bo6yi Merci à vous pour votre réponse. Je pense avoir bien compris votre message.😀😃😄
Yay!!
wait until they find out the meaning of this song
I should’ve said that 😭
could you explain what it means to me? i’m a little unsure lol
it’s a tune written for minstrel shows. It’s a bigger collection of tunes called The Trombone Family.@@abunchoftvs4018

I guess they were already bored with it by 1956 so had to jazz it up. To me it's always the best played straight as written.
