Mariachi Trumpet Improv (Mexican backing track)
¡Muchas Gracias! Thank everyone for watching this was a really fun video to make and I hope you enjoy! This is gonna be the start to my improv series where I try to improve a little bit every video. It’s gonna be a fun journey! improv is not normal for this genre of music but I just thought it would help me write the music I want to right later!
My Goals this video:
- good range
- nice vibrato
- consistent sound
Thoughts:
I think it was pretty good! I played with this track earlier today so I kinda had an idea on what was gonna happen in the track, but I found myself just chilling and going with the flow which was nice, but then I would hear that the cord changed and I would focus again. I also realized that I might have been to tense or something because I was loosing air really fast, it’s might have been because I was trying to play quietly so that I don’t over power the tack but I’m not sure. Also gotta remember to empty all the spit before hand! And I that’s all I can think of, maybe not strain on high notes, but that’s because I was trying to be quiet but still can improve!
Thanks for watching and if you wanna use the track then here it is! (NOT MINE)

Sorry for sloppy Franglish - I only started learning a couple weeks ago

I also have to find a way to make the track louder because you can barely hear it sometimes.

I guess they were already bored with it by 1956 so had to jazz it up. To me it's always the best played straight as written.

it’s a tune written for minstrel shows. It’s a bigger collection of tunes called The Trombone Family.@@abunchoftvs4018

@@abunchoftvs4018it’s argued that it should stop being played as it was written by Henry Fillmore who wrote for black face back in the early 1900’s but honestly that shouldn’t be any reason for it to stop being played since it’s a good piece.
