- In this video we look if we can change the height of our Land Rover to make it low enough to get on the ferry to France without paying for having a tall car !

Nice idea, and interesting video to watch, but I suspect you'll still be charged for the full height at the ferry.
The folks at the ferry check-in won't be able to check the height (never have a handy roll-up garage door when you need one!!!), so will just look up the car on the computer, and that will only show the standard height(s).

We managed to avoid the extra charge on the ferry and had a few days in France !

@@L663 I've been booking my Disco onto ferries at the lower height for years and never had a problem. Never have to lower suspension or anything like that.
On ferris to spain they ask the make and model of the vehicle and are charged by that but interesting ideas.

Hi I have 2 questions if I maybe so bold, firstly is it possible to retro fit a reversing camera into an LR4 using the original screen and activating it with the IID tool?
Secondly, is it possible using the IID tool to activate the timed heater controls for the FBH as my car doesn’t have that and it only uses it automatically?

Hi - I am not sure about the reverse camera but the timed climate for the FBH should be possible using the IID tool.

so would it be better using this to raise the disco for bigger tyres rather than use johnson rods thanks,great vids love them
Yes it would seem the IID tool is a "smarter" way to do it... maybe better for insurance too as you have not "modified" the car as such - more recalibrated

Fairly sure the IID has been updated, you can now set and save different heights for your suspension. And name them👍
Do you know who sells the most updated IID? I didn't see one on Powerful UK's website for some reason.

Dont know why but every morning my 2006 Lr3 s rear end ends up in extended mode as is if it was raising up while the car is off over night .woukd you know why this is happening ???

Seems to be either the sensor or the shock ?
Ridiculous cost of this unit, is there any alternatives for someone that may just want to do a new key once a year or more.
