- The most crucial vehicle in the story of Halo 3 also happens to be the most insignificant. For some reason, the game developers decided not to include the biggest, and most incredible vehicle in the game in any meaningful sense, despite fully designing it. In fact, they tried to make it 100% off-limits to players. But that doesn't mean it is.

The Pillar of Dawn, the inverse, reminds me a lot of Gears of War’s “Hammer of Dawn”, a satellite laser beam target designator.

Pro Tip: If you hold the jump button (A) whilst boosting with a Ghost, it will raise its nose upwards which can be used to catch players who attempt to jump over you, ramp over Mongooses/Warthogs and in this case, make it easier to hook onto and climb the edge of cliffs or other angles platforms after making a jump.
Note: If you let go of the boost while in the air, you'll stall forward motion before you descend.
You totally had a chance to leave a bunch of dead master chiefs and arbiters all over the hanger floor to show up in the cutscene

watching these types of glitches is so relaxing. theres something about the megalithic structures on the ark thats so fun to navigate, i used to watch generalkidds videos on out of bound glitches all the time
Fun fact: If you do the normal warthog ramp jump, but aim at the side wall of the hangar entrance, you can get into the hangar without triggering the cutscene.
I swear every single one of your videos is "so I missed this one tiny thing that is so minor you wouldn't even usually notice and in doing so I wasted nine hours"

The elites rebuilt it as a peace offering. Not enough materials were left so they just made a frigate with it instead.

Gotta love halo UNSC ships! I've always wished to be able to get up close to one of these, I was sad when I realised there are invisible walls under the hangar elevators, also btw this is a frigate, a smaller warship, versus the ship from halo 1 and some of the ships from halo 2 from the battle of earth, which is a heavier cruiser.

the details up close are amazing on the ship model, clearly the graphics were limited for it's time but with all of those decals, warning emblems and such you can tell someone really cared when they designed this thing! also I'm guessing the nuclear symbol on those vertical launch cells or ports means nuclear missiles? and for those weird faces on those doritos maybe some sort of demonic weapon lol

Much easier way to enter the hanger on Halo is by doing the jump as intended but angle yourself to the furthest left or right as possible, the wall doesn’t have collision iirc and you just go right in and bypass the cutscene

The skull signs and caution tape by the cannons are probably meant to warn personnel to stand clear of the muzzle blast! Very dangerous stuff, cool that Bungie thought to include those little details

It's wild how well H3 holds up to this day. Sure some textures are a little low res, but if your not staring at them from 2 inches away they look soooo good. Then you realize the xbox 360 only had 512mb of ram. Bungie was a technical marvel.

Because you didn't really outsmart them, you used the skulls they provided to achieve your goal. You outsmarted the game, but not the devs.

The pillar of autumn was distroyed in Halo CE. How it is revived in halo 3 makes no sense, as they exploded the ship to distroy halo to prevent the flood from spreading. 🤦🏻♂️ poor story writing for halo.
