I don't care who you are, Owl City's music can change anybody's mood from sadness to happiness instantly, this guy's songs are just so beautiful, it's legendary. There's always something special in his songs that is hard to avoid.

Matthew DragonBlade I live in Seattle, and I can vouch for the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Also, our weather patterns are very strange, unpredictable, and have a huge variety. There could be a heatwave, yet snow could still be expected the following day, and arrive promptly. But to be honest, after living here for so long, you get used to it, and it's actually quite enjoyable :)

My life was so carefree then...Now I'm not friends with any of those people anymore and it feels like a lifetime ago. HaloEliteLegend Yeah owl city brings back memories. Usually these songs remind me of 2010-past because those days were great. Its great memories when you remember you friends and fun times but it is sad when those days are gone. When all your favorite things you had during your childhood but then those things become old or obselte and eventually you have to say goodbye to friends, cars, computers, whatnot. Also around this time my Grandma was still alive and before 2006 my Grandpa was alive so this song brings back good and sad memories so Owl city makes me happy and sad. That's why I love Owl City. I remember all of these songs back in 09 and 08 but also 07. I miss these days a lot and I remember them just like yesterday.

The military brought me up here to Seattle about a year ago. I was kinda sad when I saw that I was being forced to move here, but I must say, out of all the different states and countries I've visited or lived in, Seattle turned out to be one of the best cities I have ever been to! A city full of incredible people and even better views! You can't beat enjoying a steak from the Space Needle all while overlooking the sunset over the Puget Sound!

It's crazy how something as simple as a song can bring back waves and waves of memories. On my first day of High School I met someone who would go on to become my best friend for years; she had just moved to my state from Seattle and always told me stories about it and we'd listen to this song (along with tons of other Owl City songs) in her room when I'd go to her house on the weekends. Nearly 10 years of friendship going strong.

I know that; the TvTropes page "What Do You Mean It Wasn't Made on Drugs?" is for media content that seems to have been made while the creators were stoned or high (but actually were not). Severe insomnia (what Adam had when he wrote this song) can have a similar effect to being stoned, which is why the song is so wonky.

James Lee ***** actual facts: Seattle/western Washington is only sunny around 75 to 90 days a year. that ends up being mostly late June, July, and August with spattering of sun throughout the other months. those remaining 280+ days are cloudy but that doesn't mean it's raining. and for the most part it's just a gentle mist that last for weeks. Hawaii actually gets a larger quantity of rain than we do. (posted from Everett WA, I know my stuff)

It makes me feel so good, because my home was important enough to have a song written about it. And it's completely accurate!!! Almost had Cancer surgery in Seattle. Glad I came home to New York. Nothing against Seattle, but when you live in Juneau Alaska, Seattle and Anchorage are your only options, and I needed my family. Great song though.....probably would've reminded me of being there had I chose to stay.
