I’m new to Stampin Up. So I’m looking for simple, inexpensive ways to make cards. I watched lots of videos by different people. I am impressed with your down to earth approach. So I adopted you as my demonstrator!
I’ve seen this technique before but they’ve never explained which big shot plates to use and I’ve always bottled out as didn’t want to force it through so thank you so much for showing that 😘🇬🇧 xx
Love this. Have never done that but it will be next on my list to try. Great cards!!! LOVE LOVE all of your videos especially your SIP ones. Not everyone has all of the latest and greatest card making items so it is always nice to help us crafters who have limited supplies and funds.
Absolutely beautiful! Hope my Spellbinder Grand Calibur machine will do as well! Thank you so much for your wonderful ideas and simple ways to put 'em together! Gerre Arnold
Hi Jackie! Beautiful card...and such a fun technique, thanks for sharing! I am from the South Bend, IN area and MANY years ago I was signed up with SU under you! Life got crazy for me, and I often think of you and the fun I had at your big annual event at the school! So fun seeing you on UA-cam! Definitely subscribing! Hugs!
@@KlompenStampersJackieBolhuis Iam enjoying all your videos. I've been stamping for 27 years with a variety of different vendors. I like to keep it simple too, so appreciate your reminders and new tricks.
Oh my goodness! This embossing folder is scheduled to show up at my house tomorrow; I can't wait to try out this technique! I never would've thought to ink up an embossing folder OR to emboss the envelope. Thanks for sharing these great ideas!
Hello Jackie. I really enjoyed this Inking Embossing Folder. I never realized this can be done as well. I stamp color or use colored pencils on stencils. It’s awesome and the final product is absolutely beautiful. Have couple of questions: 1. What brand of stamp ink is good? 2. What do you use to clean the embossing folder with? I enjoy crafting. I’ve done yarn leis, jewelry, and card making as well. The only challenge is creating the design, which takes a little time to do cos it’s something special for that special someone. Hope to hear from you soon. Aloha ... 🌺. God bless 🙏🏻
Love this technique, Jackie. I think I'm going to try it inking the raised side of the TIEF and using white CS. We'll see what happens. . . . I did try it. Not as pretty as inking the raised side tone on tone.
AWW CRAP! Im seeing this way too late to be able to get that embossing folder. I love it. I guess Ill have to go search eBay and see if I can find it there. Beautiful cards. Great Job.
Hello thank you for a super video. I am so happy I learned this beautiful technique. Just one thing.. I can’t find your measurements or inks you used. ? Where do I look for them. There is nothing at the top of my screen and I scrolled to the bottom and didn’t find anything there?
GREAT little video, Jackie! LOVE the folder! Your tips are so helpful and the cards lovely! I noticed that you placed the EF to run through w/the closure first~~is that the best way to do that?? Or do you start with the open end of the EF?? Or does it make a difference??? Look forward to your reply, and as always, TFS and HAPPY STAMPIN’ n’ CREATIN’! :-))
Thank you so much for your reply, Jackie! I really appreciate it! If I recall, I’d seen another video (who??) on this topic and it was mentioned that starting at one end (which??) could crack the EF!! I certainly wouldn’t want that to happen~~and especially w/this folder! Since I’d recently received mine, I wanted to use it...and yesterday I created similar cards so I was so happy to see your video today just as an “affirmation”! I learned a few things that I would perhaps do differently~~~use thick cs for my base, and maybe even for the embossed layer as it is so deep! We learn as we go, but your videos sure do help A LOT! AGAIN, my thanks! And let’s keep having fun stamping n’ creating! :-)
Beautiful! I have always wanted to try this technique, I'm giving it a try today. Question, did you fold the envelope under or did you run the folder sideways thru the big shot?
I'm sorry, I'm not certain what you're asking... are you asking how I got the ink on? If so - with an ink pad on the folder, you can see the full steps in the video.
Love this!! You have a Dutch last name! Been ya en nederlander? I am married to a Deutchman! I lived in Rotterdam for 5 years! Speak ans read Durch! ( schriven niet zo goed!) Not so good with writing! Dag!! Goodbye!
