You must be joking man. I loved early Maiden and Bruce's vocals but since Seventh Son his vocals went drastically down hill. When he tries to hit the higher notes it sounds like he's been sucking on a helium balloon 😢. Dreadful.
Saw him in Ca last april&got to this conclusion:best Metal singer ever.As it was a "warming" show,right before the South American&European tour,he sang even better than this show
Some of his work in the last 10 years sounds actually better than it did 30 years ago, incredible voice still, given he is late 60s. Brilliant performer

I saw an interview with Tanya and she had nothing but good things to say about Bruce. She said he was great to work with and he had more energy than people way younger. She seemed like a really cool chick from the interview. Really down to earth

To think 10 years ago I saw this amazing man flying a spitfire above me in a dog fight amongst other planes above sonisphere Knebworth festival followed by a 2 hour show with maiden, then he fought cancer the end of 2014, and he is on stage here is remarkable. What a powerhouse of a human. Bruce is a true legend!!
'Magick' if done correctly seems to help man and I do believe Bruce partakes of it but regardless he is an amazing person with seemingly nonstop energy and curiously to learn about things and is still a wicked singer no doubt.

@@Urizen777 that's in many levels untrue. There are great musical performances along with the whole package you are describing. Come on, you can't dislike lights or fire. And dancers, it depends if they add to the show. I'll give you autotune, though. That sucks. And I'm not sure that you are describing a typical metal show, to be honest. But pop has its values from time to time.
@@Prometheus_666 I'm not saying that any of those things (except for the autotune) are inherently bad. For some bands they are actually a huge part of the whole package you'd expect to get. However, many bands that implement them nowadays (in many, genres, rock, metal, pop, etc.) rely too much on them using them as a lifebelt to distract from some pretty mediocre to downright bad performances music-wise.
The band is so tight, on fire. Their chemistry is brilliant. And Mr Bruce is as spectacular as ever 🤘🏽 It’s just a Pitty they put him on a middle show with just 60min. This band deserves a whole setlist performance

Bruce Dickinson sings a lot!!! He is 65 years old and still sings a lot, of course not like he did 20 years ago, but for an old man at his age he sings a lot. You can cry that it's 'playback' all you want, I don't care, because a concert with him is an excellent musical experience, and on 12/6 I'll be there seeing him live. Greetings from Brazil!
This is real music. No fucking click, no backing tracks, no bullshit. A band of great musicians all listening to each other and grooving together, fronted by possibly the greatest frontman in all of metal.
@@saalasruokangas4206 Bruce and Iron Maiden have been very vocal about never recording or playing live to a click. I'd be extremely surprised if they had one here. I haven't checked with a metronome, but as a drummer it feels to me that they're not playing to a click here. By the way, I'm not saying that a click is always bad. Of course I practice and often record with a metronome, but for live music I much prefer it when the band is free to speed up or slow down in the moment. Slight variations in tempo are a natural part of music that has been lost in recent times. I also like it when the drummer gets excited and plays a little faster live. That's what makes the live experience unique for me. I don't see the point in going to a show to hear something that sounds exactly like the recording. But that's just me. Cheers!

Sous une pluie battante, trempé jusqu'aux os, pas évident de trouvé la force et pourtant grâce à Bruce et son groupe, j'ai perdu la notion du temps et oublié les intempéries. Ce type est vraiment une bête de scène et merci à lui de faire l'effort de parler français. Respect Monsieur !!!
@@veldringr On May 26th Bruce played in Paris, but he had kind of a flu and didn't have his best voice. Seeing him live again with a great voice was even better for me :) He hit those notes very well !

I Agree nothing matches Bruce’s energy on stage. Halford had it the 80’s/90’s, Anselmo in the 90’s/2000’s but Bruce has always had it and to have this energy and emotion at his age is nothing but a miracle.
Hmmm...I've been following what Bruce has been doing since the beginning of his solo career. A concert in Sarajevo in the middle of the war. What can I say, Bruce is the most complete, the most talented, the most versatile rock musician that ever walked this earth. I saw a concert in honor of Jon Lord in Sarajevo two years ago and enjoyed it... The Mandrake project album is probably the best conceptually in his oeuvre... I listened to it at least 100 times and found something new every time. However, what I heard and saw at Hellfest took everything to an even higher level. I look and the tears slide in disbelief that someone aged 65+ can sound like this... better than in the studio... more alive, stronger... yes, and the band... a wonderful team. Thanks Bruce Dickinson. Greetings from Sarajevo, and... please come with the band.

This is real music. No fucking click, no backing tracks, no bullshit. A band of great musicians all listening to each other and grooving together, fronted by possibly the greatest frontman in all of metal.
No click? How can you be sure? Metronome has been (real) musician's tool for ages anyway so there shouldn't be a problem with using one.
@@saalasruokangas4206 Bruce and Iron Maiden have been very vocal about never recording or playing live to a click. I'd be extremely surprised if they had one here. I haven't checked with a metronome, but as a drummer it feels to me that they're not playing to a click here.
By the way, I'm not saying that a click is always bad. Of course I practice and often record with a metronome, but for live music I much prefer it when the band is free to speed up or slow down in the moment. Slight variations in tempo are a natural part of music that has been lost in recent times. I also like it when the drummer gets excited and plays a little faster live. That's what makes the live experience unique for me. I don't see the point in going to a show to hear something that sounds exactly like the recording. But that's just me.

Faz tempo que não me empolgo tanto com um show ao vivo, Bruce é mágico! Sua carreira solo é tão boa que ainda caberiam uns 5 clássicos no set list (son of gun, the tower, jerusalem, tears of the dragon...) Showzaço, merecia mais meia hora.

I Agree nothing matches Bruce’s energy on stage. Halford had it the 80’s/90’s, Anselmo in the 90’s/2000’s but Bruce has always had it and to have this energy and emotion at his age is nothing but a miracle.

Hmmm...I've been following what Bruce has been doing since the beginning of his solo career. A concert in Sarajevo in the middle of the war. What can I say, Bruce is the most complete, the most talented, the most versatile rock musician that ever walked this earth. I saw a concert in honor of Jon Lord in Sarajevo two years ago and enjoyed it... The Mandrake project album is probably the best conceptually in his oeuvre... I listened to it at least 100 times and found something new every time. However, what I heard and saw at Hellfest took everything to an even higher level. I look and the tears slide in disbelief that someone aged 65+ can sound like this... better than in the studio... more alive, stronger... yes, and the band... a wonderful team. Thanks Bruce Dickinson. Greetings from Sarajevo, and... please come with the band.
He has the best bandmates incredible chemistry. They all have on stage live. You can tell the absolutely enjoy what they’re doing and how could you not? You’re with Bruce Dickinson on stage live. He’s a legend.. on a sidenote, the bass player is not only gorgeous. She can also play the base very well.
