Dude the fact that Quackity’s color palette changes to match whatever character he’s interacting with to show that he really is a different person to everyone is such an amazing detail!
I just saw the video and read this comment and then rewatched it but now that I think about it that’s true, though with Karl and SapNap he remained his blue

Quackity’s character timeline is one of the saddest in my opinion.
When you look at the start, yes, he may be selfish but he isn’t actively trying to cause harm. He used to seek validation and love. That’s one of the reasons he ran against Wilbur and joined his votes with Schlatt’s. That’s why he has been in several relationships, all of which he has broken off from.
He’s lonely and upset, he may be laughing at times but that’s just to cover up his real emotions. Humans don’t usually tend to like causing harm. I believe the same for Quackity. I also think he’s in that kind of phase where he has lost everything he had ever hold dear, Karl, Sapnap, most of his friends and so many other things.
So, what else is there to lose?
Quackity has a tragic character. He sought validation and love. But almost everyone in his life manipulated him, hurt him, or left him behind. He has lost everything, now he used that bottled-up pain and anger to manipulate and hurt other people. Just like how some people once did to him.

His villain arc makes me actually sad bc he does still have people who love him (karl/sapnap for example) and now hes become the person to push them away and hurt those he cared for. I wanna see him be happy with his old friends and fiancee trio
Yeah, his villain arc just feels.... tragic. Not like an evil person but someone trying to get back control, manipulating people is the only thing that's kept anyone around. I feel like he's scared of losing someone else, so he builds relationships on manipulation and does his best not to get attached, he's quite similar to Dream in that way, with the main difference being that Quackity started because of trauma and fear, still seeking validation, while Dream did it for control only.
I mean, I even understood Dream's pov until the exile arc, he was selfish but not a bad person, just kinda dark grey. That changed when he went full god-complex though lol
Honestly when you look at characters I personally think Fundy and Quackity really take the crown for sad backstory
Like our fox boy just wants a father figure but he can't and our duck just wants love
People tend to hide there feelings
If there angry they try to smile the best they can
If there sad they try to hide the tears
And if there heart broken they act like there just fine
I’m like this very much I hide my feelings with a smile a lot of times and keep my head down where ever I go
My friends and teachers say they don’t see me smile a lot and I really don’t the only time I do smile is if I’m happy or trying to hide my feelings
That’s the same for quackity character
he’s trying to hide his heart break from when schlaat, Wilbur, dream, and techno betrayed him
He laughs he smiles and he comes up with evil plans and I can’t blame his character
Feelings and heart break/ betrayals can change a person

I really like that last frame, since I feel like Quackity is kinda glad that Wilbur's back. It gives him a sense of peaceful nostalgia, him and Wilbur being rivals again like the old times. Quackity has lost so much and everyone has changed, so Wilbur returning and still having that competitive spirit gives Quackity a sense of normality. It makes him think of the times when things were simpler, before Schlatt, before Karl and Sapnap. Just him and Wilbur having friendly competition.

Quackity's character makes me very sad because he's just lonely. Schlatt manipulated then left him. Sapnap and Karl were just too excited about starting a country together (not to mention Karl having memory issues due to his time travelling) to think to tell anyone but George. (Since Karl brought it up to the two of them since they were together). Plus, everyone has left him at one point of another. Wilbur died, Ranboo and Tubbo left for the Syndicate/Snowchester, Fundy lives on his own, Tommy is...well, Tommy (y'know the whole dying and coming back thing does stuff to you). He just...wants somewhere that he has control of and he wants people to stay. For the first time in his life, he wants people to not leave him.
I'm a marina stan first and a person second I completely forgot about Hamiltons existence this song fits so well with Quackity's character
