So sad, Ricky. A full health macho losing to a low health martel. Like he would in real life. Would have been an easy win for him. The animated characters does not always seem to act like their stats should show.
These Rumbles are a blast. I really appreciate the effort put into these. Getting the entrance order, proper gear, downloading everyone. Man, thank you. Ooooh yeaaah!!
Yokozuna and Owen Hart both tragically passed away about a year and a half from each other, Owen on May 23 1999, and Yoko on October 23, 2000. Both age 34. Plus they were Tag Team champs at one point. RIP.
Yokozuna was a member of the Anoaʻi family, so is blood-related to Reigns, Rikishi, Usos, Solo, Umaga, Wild Samoans, etc, and related to Rock via a Samoan blood oath between his grandfather and an Anoaʻi elder. As for the limit to eight guys in the match, while it is a performance limitation that could be extended for current-gen consoles and PC, there's also a problem of having too many guys in the ring making the match unplayable because the wrestlers would just be getting in each other's way.
Yokozuna was an active champion like his other family member The Rock and not the disgrace family member Roman Reigns who's a champion that takes long vacation breaks and holds the belt hostage.
@@TheThird1977 when the rock showed the bloodline family tree at the press conference, nobody from rocks side of the family married anyone from Roman’s side of the family so that don’t work either
I was actually at this Rumble way back in ‘93! Me and my friends were rooting so hard for the Macho Man and were yelling our heads off when he went for the pin! We couldn’t believe it. Haha good times man.
WWE won’t mention this though as his gimmick was a Japanese guy… how can a Samoan somehow be Japanese would be racism on their part would it 😅 also why would mr Fuji help a Samoan win matches and carry a Japanese flag to the ring with him you would think they was playing a character or something…
IRL, I loved the fact that Flair and Backlund were starting this but I could tell the audience was too young to know how epic these two guys were. Max Moon was originally Konnan but he quit so they put it on Paul Diamond who was the Kato in Orient Express along with his long time partner Pat Tanaka who were also Badd Compnay in AWA. Diamond's first partner though, was Shawn Michaels as American Breed! Yokozuna is related to all of them, he is their cousin, Rodney Skinner is Steve Keirn, one half of one of the best tag teams of all time, The Fabulous Ones. I had those guys with those old AWA figures that were better than the WWF ones IMO. Keirn was also the 'Mirror Doink' at Wrestlemania Koko B Hammer...can't touch this! The Berserker's gimmick was winning by countout by throwing his opponents over the top rope, how could he not win?!? OH! Ric Flair gave Undertaker a low blow and 'Taker sold it! That was my biggest beef with Flair in the '91 Rumble..."How is he gonna sell that Ric? He is supposed to be a Dominant heel!" Funny story about IRS! Think Flair has the record for longest time & maybe eliminations! Why was the Repo man a heel? If you don't make your payments, YOU are the heel! OH! Ricky I feel for you, but Macho Man just like IRL didn't keep his mind in the game lol
Ted mentioned in an interview that he was at a convention, or some autograph signing gig, and that kid came up to him (as an adult) and explained who he was. Ted invited him to stick around, and they chatted for a good long while. They swapped life stories and such. He said he felt blessed to see the kid all grown up and doing well in life. Despite his memorable persona, Ted DiBiase is a very humble, down to earth man. I've gained so much respect for him in adulthood than I ever had for the character he played. He's mentioned many tines how Virgil was a really good friend and he always felt like crap for mistreating Virgil the way he did in public. Whenever they were private, he always tried to make it up to Virgil. Virgil understood the gig and never held it against Ted. He always said that Ted was his best friend.
34:40 Randy savage thought he won… 😮 the Shawn vs bulldog spot… still the tradition of one of the final 3 making it to the end from the real rumble continues
I have friends from the Sacramento area. If memory serves, they lived in the same neighborhood as Yoko and had some interactions with him and his family. My friend told me that Yoko was a really chill guy in his homelife. He called Yoko "sir" one time and Yoko told him that in that household, they call each other brother. He was a really cool cat, Yokozuna was.
I always remembered the Berserker as Nord the Barbarian - that was the wrestling name he went by here, locally. Did the "huss, huss, huss" gimmick here, too!
Another great video! Im loving these rumbles! I think 94 rumble was the first one i watched as a kid. I gotta check out your other video. It was so interesting that macho failed again at the end so close. I have the original Royal Rumble games for the SNES and Genesis and it was crazy that there was different wrestlers on each game. I can't wait to see the next video! So excited! 😂
Macho Man succumbed to the madness and tried to pin Yoko in a Royal Rumble.😂 It was absurd that they made Yoko have superhuman strength and bench press Savage over the top rope. Me and my buddies were pissed.🤣
Owen would do the Pile-driver and when he told Stone Cold he was gonna sit down! He told him not to, and Owen did it anyways. He said Owen was a master of this move. Steve said he never was angry at Owen, but Owen never apologized. One of the scariest things in wrestling history
1993 rumble was the first rumble I ever watched. I had stared watching wrestling towards the end of 92. Looking back at it now its not the greatest of matches but it will always have a special place in my heart.
Absolutely killing it this season Ricky. The 93 Rumble is particularly memorable to me as it was the first one I ever got to watch. I guess Flair prevented Giant Gonzalez from having his moment this time. 😏
I got to see Typhoon when he was called Tugboat face off against Earthquake back in 1990. It was my first wrestling show and they were the main event. I remember seeing the Hart Foundation but don't remember their opponent. I want to say it was Demolition but could have been L.O.D.
Shawn was the kid with the basketball's name and yes he did get compensated as said by Ted Dibiase in recent years, and I remember Bruce Pritchard when asked about it said the same thing, mostly Dibiase would pick out people out of the stands (except the barking lady who was Linda McMahon) and the people in the stands would be compensated BEFORE the skit. Many fans may be interested to know, Dibiase did reunite with little Shawn, who is now taller than him ( Dibiase himself isnt short) and theres a picture to prove it.
"This is next gen hardware. Having 8 guys in the ring is lame." Do you not realize how difficult that is? We had only 6 in the ring for the last 20 years. We were lucky to get the upgrade to 8. You have to consider the amount of moving parts on screen. The entire crowd, the ropes, the aprons, the HUD, and all the characters themselves. You try upgrading that and they would quite frankly break the games ability to hold a framerate.
You should a Wrestling Empire Rumble, there is no limit on how much can enter P.S: I recommend putting the Ai on normal difficulty, since the Ai can be a bit too smart at times
Interesting rumor I don't know how true this rumor is but before Yokozuna won the person they wanted to win this was Scott Steiner if Vince wanted the Steiners as a tag team, he didn't want to break them up
I watch earthquake and typhoon fight against each other live in Youngstown Ohio when I was young. I can still hear the sound when one of them would hit the mat
Random Wrestling Sketches *Yokozuna and the Undertaker are both walking down a corridor, when Dom Mysterio runs up to them* Dom: Hey, guys. Yokozuna/Undertaker: Hi, Dommie. Dom: Listen, could you help me out with something? Yokozuna: Sure thing, uce. What do you need? Dom: Just follow me back to the locker rooms, please. *Cut to all three of them standing outside the changing rooms* Dom: Okay, Mami forgot her make-up kit the last time she was in here, so she asked me to sneak back in and grab it for her. Only problem is, there's *a spider* in the changing rooms. *Taker and Yokozuna look at each other in a funny way* Undertaker: What kind of spider? Dom: ...I don't know, a *huge* spider! It tried attacking me the last time I went in there. I'd feel a lot more comfortable if someone else tried getting rid of it, please? Yokozuna: Okay, before we agree to anything, Dom- did you try contacting a professional pest controller before coming to us? Dom: Yeah, I did. Undertaker: So, what did he do? Dom: You want to know? Look behind you. *They turn around to see an entire man's body embedded in the wall up to his waist, his legs hanging limply down* Dom: The spider did that to him, in case you couldn't tell. Yokozuna: (grimacing and crossing himself) Well, I'm not going in there, I tell you that right now. Dom: What? Why? Yokozuna: (stares at him like he's stupid) Because I'm scared of spiders, buddy. And any spider that can do *that* to a grown man, I'm not taking my chances with. Undertaker: Okay, Yokozuna, calm down. *I'll* go in there, see what that thing's about. *Undertaker opens the door to a dark changing room, walks inside, and closes the door. After a few seconds, with Dom and Yokozuna staring nervously at the door, 'Taker throws it open and sprints back outside, panting and clutching at his chest* Undertaker: (pant pant) That thing was... (pant pant, wipes sweat away) No way on Earth that thing's a normal spider. You need *an exorcist* to get rid of that, not a pest controller. *Brie Bella suddenly appears from behind them, carrying a bag of cleaning tools* Brie: Hey, boys! What are you doing here? Dom: Brie! Uh- we were just, uh- (shakes his head, knowing that any excuse he makes won't make him sound brave) Never mind what we're doing, what are *you* doing? Brie: I just came to do some cleaning, you know? Of the women's changing rooms... which *you* probably shouldn't be hanging around... you know, because you're *not* women. Yokozuna: (sarcastically) Sure, Brie. Tell us something we *don't* know. Dom: Listen, Brie, we appreciate your help, but we don't really want *anybody* to go in that room right now. Brie: Why not? Dom: *Because there's a big spider in there!* Brie: Don't shout! Dom: Was I shouting? Sorry. Brie: I don't know why you guys are so afraid of a spider. *I'm* not afraid of it! I'll go in there, and clean the floor. (opens the door) Undertaker: No, Brie, seriously!- *Brie walks through and closes the door. On the other side, she notices how dark it is* Brie: No, that's no good. I can't work in these conditions! Better put on the light! *Brie turns the lights on... and then turns around to find a nightmarishly huge red-eyed spider hanging down from the ceiling right in front of her* *Outside the changing rooms. Yokozuna, Undertaker and Dom all hear high-pitched screams coming from behind the door* Dom: Shoot! It's got her! Guys, stay here and try to break the door down. I'm gonna go get help! (he runs off) *Cut to Nikki Bella and Nia Jax having lunch and laughing together at the canteen. Dom skids all the way over to their table* Dom: Nikki! Emergency! You gotta come, quick! Nikki: What? What's going on, Dom? Dom: Brie... Changing rooms... Giant spider! *Nikki immediately gets up and grabs Dom by his throat in a chokehold* Nikki: *You left my sister alone with a GIANT SPIDER?! What kind of coward are you?!* Nia: Nikki! Nikki! (presses a soothing hand on her wrist) Calm down! Help your sister first. Strangle Dirty Dom later. Nikki: (moving her hand from Dom's throat to his shoulder) Take us there. *Now.* (Dom nods anxiously) *Cut to Dom, Nikki and Nia all sprinting back to the changing rooms. The screaming is still going on. 'Taker and Yokozuna are still having no luck breaking through the door* Nikki: (raising her hands to her mouth) Brie? It's Nikki! Hang in there, hermana, we're gonna get you out! *Nia pushes both 'Taker and Yokozuna away from the door and just turns the handle, opening it. After a few moments of looking ashamed, they all walk inside to find...* *Brie has the giant spider on the floor, with four of its legs locked in her grip behind its back. The spider is the one making the high-pitched screams, not her. Brie very casually looks up at them all* Brie: Hey. Anyone mind phoning an Animal Control van? And anyone else mind cleaning while I hold this spider down? Nikki: (to Dom) Dom? Dom: What? Nikki: You're a wimp. (to Brie) Brie? Brie: Yeah, hermana? Nikki: You're a *legend.* High-five! (they high-five, except Brie does it with her elbow, since she's still holding the spider)
Skinner was formerly known as Steve Keirn, 1/2 of the Fabulous Ones alone was Stan Lane, who later teamed with "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton after Dennis Condrey left and was what many, myself included, as the best version of the Midnight Express, Land and Eaton.
We are about the same age Ricky; i loved WWF in the 80’s and I kind of stopped watching around this time too. I was 15 and WWE wrestling was getting kind of silly; wasn’t cool at that time while you’re in high school. I started to get into it and watch every week again in 96-97.
There's rumors that the boy dribbling the ball was RVD!! Gotta fact check but I did hear RVD say he did something with the million dollar man as a kid!! Great work as always RJ
RVD did do one of the challenges but the basketball kid was a young black kid. They did take care of him and his mother in the backstage area. Also, they purposely didnt let Yoko speak because they couldnt do the Japanese gimmick. Him being a samoan from the Bay area.@@raceofbk
You asked who Skinner was, and he was Steve Keirn, who was big in the early-mid 80s as part of the Fabulous Ones, teaming with Stan Lane. Wrestled mostly in the AWA, Continental, and NWA.
Yokozuna was The Rock and Rikishi's cousin. Before becoming Max Moon, he was Kato of the Orient Express. Skinner was supposed to be from The Everglades. I think he was poacher. As a generic heal, he wrestled a lot of the faces. Fatu later became Rikishi. Carlos Colon is Carlito's father.

The moment Yokozuna stepped into the ring, it was plain to see that there was no one who could stop him. Other critics noted how Undertaker’s dealing with Giant Gonzalez proved to be a distraction over what could’ve been one of the biggest wins of his career (Leading to the one Undertaker WrestleMania match hardly anyone was a fan of). Only this time, in this repeat of that precedented event, we would witness one of the most shocking endings this season with a superstar we’d least expect to win this rumble. While surely ‘any’ of these competitors could’ve been that upset winner, instead it was none other than… ‘The Model’ himself… Rick Martel, which once more leads to the following question: How would Martel’s career had been different if ‘he’ won the Royal Rumble in 1993? Reviewing the card from the actual event, Rick Martel was not a featured competitor in any grudge matches nor any championship matches that had taken place during that entire event. It would essentially be difficult to imagine if Rick Martel would ever stand a chance against Bret Hart, who was the World Champion at the time, and not many people ever considered Martel a main event contender. I personally cannot recall if Martel ever had a match with Hart, but it would make for a rather ‘interesting’ main event to say the least. There would be no mistake that Rick Martel wouldn’t really stand a chance against Hart, much less against Hulk Hogan who would then challenge for the title in the match prior, but had Martel been able to secure a Royal Rumble win that would be considered bragging rights. But who was my MVP of this 1993 rumble? Let’s get down to the numbers: Of the thirty men featured in this match, only TWELVE men secured the most eliminations (Three men short of making half the roster). The highest count of the night reached a lucky ‘7’ eliminations, which is six points higher than the average ‘1’ elimination. I give the Golden MVP Award for ‘coolest’ performance to: ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair In the actual event, Ric Flair’s performance ‘paled’ in comparison to the year when he won the WWF Championship during the last rumble. But to enter at number one and secure arguably the highest elimination count, in addition to the lengthiest time in this match, it all the more makes up for that poor performance he displayed in 93. While Flair still didn’t win this match, thanks to Fatu, I actually thought Flair was going to pull off the victory. The Dull Participation Medal for the ‘lamest’ performance goes to: Genchiro Tenryu I’m not entirely surprised he lost this match, that was still going to happen regardless, it’s the fact he was eliminated ‘earlier’ than his actual performance. I may not be entirely familiar with Tenryu other than that he was one of the greatest wrestlers in Japan at the time. But after seeing this performance, even as part of a simulation… I’m not thoroughly impressed. Even Carlos Colon performed better than this guy. Amongst the many great champions going to the finals this season, once more Rick Martel manages to stun us all by securing a place amongst his fellow competitors. Although as I say, winning one rumble is one thing… winning the champions’ rumble is a whole different story. Still, we are left to ask the following questions: Who did YOU want to win the Royal Rumble in 1993? Could Macho Man have actually ‘won’ the match if he hadn’t fumbled at the end? Would the match have been more enjoyable if The Undertaker wasn’t screwed by Giant Gonzalez? And the biggest question of them all: Who’s next?
Could also list the Iron Man from each one. According to the video timeline bar, the Rumble started at 2:47 with Flair, and he got tossed at 29:39, so about 26:52 (not actual minutes I think, but it's close).
Sort of weird looking at the drop in talent between 92 and 93 Rumbles(although they did have a pretty loaded undercard with the Steiners, Bam Bam Bigelow, the Big Bossman, Razor Ramon, HBK and Bret Hart). On a side note you were asking about Skinner, he was played by Steve Keirn who was part of the Tag Team the Fabulous Ones in the 1980s(ironically his partner Stan Lane started to do TV spots for the WWF around the same time as a desk reporter)
After the 1993 Royal Rumble Flair and Perfect had a Loser Leaves WWF on RAW Perfect went on to feud with The Narcissist Lex Luger . Skinner had a feud with Ricky Steamboat , before Steamboat left WWF , and actually had an Intercontinental title shot at This Tuesday in Texas against Bret Hart and lost in less than 3 minutes to Owen Hart at WrestleMania 8 .
Hey Ricky...... great vid as always! Yokozuna, Manu, Rikishi, Roman Reigns, the Rock, the Usos are all cousins to one another. Wish Yokozuna (Rodney Anoi) was still with us. He literally ate himself to death.......RIP.
I went to this Rumble when I was 10 years old. I do not remember much of it, but I do remember Giant Gonzalez coming out and thinking he was absolutely terrifying. And yeah pretty much every Samoan wrestler is related to each other somehow including Yokozuna. Most if not all are from the San Francisco Bay Area. There is a video of the Usos where they go over the whole Samoan wrestler family tree.
I can't believe Flair was the one who caught on fire. They should include a feature where dudes catch on fire and start cleaning house! Like when a fresh contestant enters. My favorite Rumbles were 97 when Stone Cold was clearing house, and the one where Brock did that, too.
Skinner was Steve Keirn. Genichiro Tenryu was in the Rumble because WWF had a deal with a Japanese promotion called SWS. Max Moon was Paul Diamond who was Kato in the Orient Express.
RICKY J!!! Big fan of the videos. Can you format a March Madness style Tournament. Rather than regions, you can have them face off against their own royal wrestling family tree, until they make it to the next bracket until the Royal Wrestling Family King is Crowned
It'd fun to see you do a replay of the WrestleMania IV tournament for the vacant world championship. See if the Macho Man still wins it, or if it's Hulk or Andre or someone else! Probably would end up being a pretty long video though lol
Too many brain farts for Randy! Maybe to many slim Jims to boot too! Randy was 0 for 6 in six consecutive rumbles (89-94) with over 58 minutes total and a total of eight eliminations! So sad 😞! Maybe the 94 rumble will finally be his to win! Ohh yeah! Thanks Ricky great rumble!👍🏻 Cheers, Mike L 😎🇨🇦✌🏼
Skinner was Steve Keirn. He also was Doink the Clown when Matt Borne left. He chewed tobacco which was black licorice and looked gross. He wrestled the ultimate warrior one time and warrior told him not to spit the licorice in his face because it would mess up his makeup. The first thing he did in the match was spit it in his face.
In the early-mid nineties, WWF/E had a serious dearth of superstar talent. That's where all these mid- and low-card guys are coming from. The whole New Generation era was largely a cavalcade of cartoony, goofy gimmicks, and anybody who was over was involved in Championship matches during the Rumble events, rather than the Rumble proper. The Steiners, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon and Bam Bam Bigelow and others were involved in pre-Rumble matches.
According to Bruce Prichard's podcast, They planned on getting a get a kid out of the audience to do that, but the family was not told what was going to happen. Needless to say, they were not happy about what happened. They got the money though. Ted Dibiasi was expecting that he'd have to leave in an armored car after that lol
Ted DiBiase said that he met the young man again years later He motivated him to graduate college and so forth. But he got paid the $500 back stage after the basketball thing.
Yes Yoko was part of the Samoan Dynasty. The funny thing is, I don’t think most of us growing up watching him ever suspected he really wasn’t Japanese lol! He played the role exceptionally. He didn’t need to speak much because he had Mr. fuji and also Jim Cornette as his mouthpiece’s. Definitely one of the best big men to ever step in a Wrestling ring for sure.
So sad, Ricky. A full health macho losing to a low health martel. Like he would in real life. Would have been an easy win for him. The animated characters does not always seem to act like their stats should show.
Macho Man never seemed to understand the rules of the rumble. He no-showed in 91; he eliminated himself in 92; and he tried to win by pinfall in 93.
Well said brother 👏
No he never got the rules. It is legendary how the rules confused him. It is basically a battle royal, but no he never understood it.
Original r-truth.
The no-show in 91 storyline was Savage left the area after he attacked the Ultimate Warrior costing the Warrior the heavyweight championship.
In 1989 he forgot it's every man for himself and then verbally attacked Hulk hogan after Hogan eliminated Macho Man and Bad News Brown .
These Rumbles are a blast. I really appreciate the effort put into these. Getting the entrance order, proper gear, downloading everyone. Man, thank you. Ooooh yeaaah!!
My pleasure dude. ❤

Exactly right the blood oath based on the on the Samoan legacy in his family means everything.
So the rock is not really related to any of them, thanks for clearing that up
Yokozuna was an active champion like his other family member The Rock and not the disgrace family member Roman Reigns who's a champion that takes long vacation breaks and holds the belt hostage.

Max Moon was originally supposed to be Lucha Libre legend, Konnan. It was eventually given to Paul Diamond.
Yokozuna's real last name was Anoa'i. He's cousins with The Rock, Roman Reigns, The Uso's and Solo Sikoa.
WWE won’t mention this though as his gimmick was a Japanese guy… how can a Samoan somehow be Japanese would be racism on their part would it 😅 also why would mr Fuji help a Samoan win matches and carry a Japanese flag to the ring with him you would think they was playing a character or something…
Yes, Yoko was part of the family that Roman Rock and the others are from.

Skinner is Steve Keirn, one half of one of the best tag teams of all time, The Fabulous Ones. I had those guys with those old AWA figures that were better than the WWF ones IMO. Keirn was also the 'Mirror Doink' at Wrestlemania
Koko B Hammer...can't touch this!
He is supposed to be a Dominant heel!"
Funny story about IRS!
Think Flair has the record for longest time & maybe eliminations!
Why was the Repo man a heel? If you don't make your payments, YOU are the heel!
OH! Ricky I feel for you, but Macho Man just like IRL didn't keep his mind in the game lol
Not only was Sean and his family picked out and given the money beforehand, but he and DiBiase reconnected later in life.
Oh nice. I knew about the former, but not the latter. That's awesome to read.
Yes, there are recent photos of them together. IIRC, the kid also got a ton of free merch.
Right after DiBiase kicked the ball away on dribble 14 of 15: “What did you learn little boy? If you don’t do the job, you don’t get PAID HAHAHAHA!”
RVD was also picked out of the crowd and kissed DiBiase’s shoes for $100.
Wow
@@RickyJSports I’m sure you can find the clip here on UA-cam
@@AmateurBarbarianAh that was the RVD one. I thought he was the basketball kid.
34:40 Randy savage thought he won… 😮 the Shawn vs bulldog spot… still the tradition of one of the final 3 making it to the end from the real rumble continues
I remember Repo Man repossessed Macho Man’s hat! I can totally see why Savage went right after him!
Lol I remember that 🤣
Of course Yokozuna spoke perfect English, he was born in San Francisco lol
And, not to forget: he was also a close friend of the Undertaker
I have friends from the Sacramento area. If memory serves, they lived in the same neighborhood as Yoko and had some interactions with him and his family. My friend told me that Yoko was a really chill guy in his homelife. He called Yoko "sir" one time and Yoko told him that in that household, they call each other brother. He was a really cool cat, Yokozuna was.
Haha awesome
@RickyJSports there was a promo where Yokozuna talks in perfect English, he sounded like a gangster rapper lol
Ricky J Sports- Great work--as always.
Keep it up...
Thx double t...what should be next??
Hahaha I'm always happy that someone else remembers Berserkers "Huss! Huss! Huss!" as he stormed to the ring, what a character
It basically was Bruiser Brody Rip Off
I always remembered the Berserker as Nord the Barbarian - that was the wrestling name he went by here, locally. Did the "huss, huss, huss" gimmick here, too!
@@WhatAboutThemApples That's crazy I never even realized this before you said it lol but yeah that's totally on point
@@tavrikgannon He wrestled as Nord the Barbarian in the AWA in the mid 80s
@@WhatAboutThemApples he was here, in Portland, Oregon, as well. Same gimmick, same attire, same everything.
So excited! 😂
We will be jumping to 98. I did a 94 one last year
Awesome match Ricky :) Keep em coming man :)
Thx MJ!!!! 😊
An unexpected conclusion for sure! Keep 'em coming Ricky!!
Thx man attitude Era next 98
Macho Man succumbed to the madness and tried to pin Yoko in a Royal Rumble.😂
It was absurd that they made Yoko have superhuman strength and bench press Savage over the top rope. Me and my buddies were pissed.🤣
Same here
Savage vs bret wpuld have been good
The Berserker definitely reminded me of the late Bruiser Brody. The whole style and cadence. Rest up Bruiser. 🙏 Another fabulous Rumble Ricky. Woooo!
Where do you think he got it from?
@@iverbure 🤣 I know from where. 👍
Thank you 🙌
Love these rumbles Ricky they never fail to impress brother
Thx David man!!!
You give off the best energy in your videos. Keep up the good work
I honestly appreciate the feedback man. ❤️
Oh man I thought flair was going the distance. Awesome video Ricky. It's awesome seeing how these play out.
Me as well. Thx man attitude Era 98 next
I’m loving these Rumble Replays and seeing the winners keep it up brotha!! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Owen would do the Pile-driver and when he told Stone Cold he was gonna sit down! He told him not to, and Owen did it anyways. He said Owen was a master of this move. Steve said he never was angry at Owen, but Owen never apologized. One of the scariest things in wrestling history
Skinner was a 80s 90s legend of my sticker book collection. Love all these guys man , childhood nostalgia
Flair taking everyone to space mountain.🤣
1993 was actually my favorite Rumble for years,I didn't appreciate 92 until I was in my 30s.
Wow that's cool man
1993 rumble was the first rumble I ever watched. I had stared watching wrestling towards the end of 92. Looking back at it now its not the greatest of matches but it will always have a special place in my heart.
Skinner was/is Steve Kerin, once a member of the Fabulous Ones with Stan Lane. He wrestled for CWF (Florida) NWA, AWA, WCW, New Japan
I love these keep them coming
That was truly a Savage ending. Sorry, I had too Brother!!
Absolutely killing it this season Ricky. The 93 Rumble is particularly memorable to me as it was the first one I ever got to watch.
I guess Flair prevented Giant Gonzalez from having his moment this time. 😏
Yokozuna was a beast back then.... surprised Undertaker could lift him
I got to see Typhoon when he was called Tugboat face off against Earthquake back in 1990. It was my first wrestling show and they were the main event. I remember seeing the Hart Foundation but don't remember their opponent. I want to say it was Demolition but could have been L.O.D.
Had to pause the rumble to check out your wedding short. Excellent if I do say so.
Hahaha glad u did!!
Can’t have Ric Flair without the Flair Flop.
Love these videos, keep em coming 😁 where do you get the extra wrestlers from, do you download them or create them yourself?
Download and make. Thx brother 🙏
Fatu aka the future soon to be Rikishi did well in this Rumble version. :)
I can't wait for the 2001 rumble, that's one of my favorites.
I say allow it for pc.if your rig can take it
They paid the basketball boy's mom the money. Didn't tell him so he would cry
You should a Wrestling Empire Rumble, there is no limit on how much can enter
P.S: I recommend putting the Ai on normal difficulty, since the Ai can be a bit too smart at times
I love Macho Man, but I’m also a big fan of Rick Martel😃 This puts a smile on my face
Repoman aka Smash from Demolition!
Random Wrestling Sketches
*Yokozuna and the Undertaker are both walking down a corridor, when Dom Mysterio runs up to them*
Dom: Hey, guys.
Yokozuna/Undertaker: Hi, Dommie.
Dom: Listen, could you help me out with something?
Yokozuna: Sure thing, uce. What do you need?
Dom: Just follow me back to the locker rooms, please.
*Cut to all three of them standing outside the changing rooms*
Dom: Okay, Mami forgot her make-up kit the last time she was in here, so she asked me to sneak back in and grab it for her. Only problem is, there's *a spider* in the changing rooms.
*Taker and Yokozuna look at each other in a funny way*
Undertaker: What kind of spider?
Dom: ...I don't know, a *huge* spider! It tried attacking me the last time I went in there. I'd feel a lot more comfortable if someone else tried getting rid of it, please?
Yokozuna: Okay, before we agree to anything, Dom- did you try contacting a professional pest controller before coming to us?
Dom: Yeah, I did.
Undertaker: So, what did he do?
Dom: You want to know? Look behind you.
*They turn around to see an entire man's body embedded in the wall up to his waist, his legs hanging limply down*
Dom: The spider did that to him, in case you couldn't tell.
After a few seconds, with Dom and Yokozuna staring nervously at the door, 'Taker throws it open and sprints back outside, panting and clutching at his chest*
Undertaker: (pant pant) That thing was... (pant pant, wipes sweat away) No way on Earth that thing's a normal spider. You need *an exorcist* to get rid of that, not a pest controller.
*Brie Bella suddenly appears from behind them, carrying a bag of cleaning tools*
Brie: Hey, boys!
Dom: *Because there's a big spider in there!*
Brie: Don't shout!
Dom: Was I shouting? Sorry.
Brie: I don't know why you guys are so afraid of a spider. *I'm* not afraid of it! I'll go in there, and clean the floor. (opens the door)
Undertaker: No, Brie, seriously!-
*Brie walks through and closes the door. On the other side, she notices how dark it is*
Brie: No, that's no good. I can't work in these conditions! Better put on the light!
*Brie turns the lights on... and then turns around to find a nightmarishly huge red-eyed spider hanging down from the ceiling right in front of her*
*Outside the changing rooms. Yokozuna, Undertaker and Dom all hear high-pitched screams coming from behind the door*
Dom: Shoot! It's got her! Guys, stay here and try to break the door down. I'm gonna go get help! (he runs off)
*Cut to Nikki Bella and Nia Jax having lunch and laughing together at the canteen. Dom skids all the way over to their table*
Dom: Nikki! Emergency! You gotta come, quick!
Nikki: What? What's going on, Dom?
Dom: Brie... Changing rooms... Giant spider!
*Nikki immediately gets up and grabs Dom by his throat in a chokehold*
Nikki: *You left my sister alone with a GIANT SPIDER?! What kind of coward are you?!*
Nia: Nikki! Nikki! (presses a soothing hand on her wrist) Calm down! Help your sister first. Strangle Dirty Dom later.
Nikki: (moving her hand from Dom's throat to his shoulder) Take us there. *Now.* (Dom nods anxiously)
*Cut to Dom, Nikki and Nia all sprinting back to the changing rooms. The screaming is still going on. 'Taker and Yokozuna are still having no luck breaking through the door*
Nikki: (raising her hands to her mouth) Brie? It's Nikki! Hang in there, hermana, we're gonna get you out!
*Nia pushes both 'Taker and Yokozuna away from the door and just turns the handle, opening it. After a few moments of looking ashamed, they all walk inside to find...*
*Brie has the giant spider on the floor, with four of its legs locked in her grip behind its back. The spider is the one making the high-pitched screams, not her. Brie very casually looks up at them all*
Brie: Hey.
I haven’t started watching it yet, but I’m rooting for your aunt-uh I mean-Greg Valentine to win it
Lol
@@RickyJSports Okay, now I have watched it and imagine my disappointment to find out Valentine wasn’t even entered in the match!
There's rumors that the boy dribbling the ball was RVD!! Gotta fact check but I did hear RVD say he did something with the million dollar man as a kid!! Great work as always RJ
That wasn't rvd
@RickyJSports thanks for the correction. I had to fact check and yup no RVD lol
RVD did do one of the challenges but the basketball kid was a young black kid. They did take care of him and his mother in the backstage area. Also, they purposely didnt let Yoko speak because they couldnt do the Japanese gimmick. Him being a samoan from the Bay area.@@raceofbk
I've been watching the actual royal rumble first then watch yours. It's a pretty cool way to watch them.
This version of Ric Flair looks to much like William Regal, lol
On the sauce
Skinner was played by veteran wrestler Steve Keirn, who was teamed with Stan Lane in Memphis as The Fabulous Ones in the early 1980s.
Reminded me of a bad guy from that Sega CD Game. Was it called time trap?
Unlimited amount of wrestlers in the ring would be crazy. Like those MDickie games lol
Yeah I love those games
You should replay the 1991 battle Royal from Royal Albert Hall

Although the 1993 rumble made history for the WWF/WWE that the winner would receive a world championship match at WrestleMania, which would be a standard for the company from this moment on, many critics found this particular rumble ‘underwhelming’. While surely ‘any’ of these competitors could’ve been that upset winner, instead it was none other than…
‘The Model’ himself… Rick Martel, which once more leads to the following question: How would Martel’s career had been different if ‘he’ won the Royal Rumble in 1993?
Let’s get down to the numbers:
Of the thirty men featured in this match, only TWELVE men secured the most eliminations (Three men short of making half the roster). The highest count of the night reached a lucky ‘7’ eliminations, which is six points higher than the average ‘1’ elimination.
I give the Golden MVP Award for ‘coolest’ performance to:
‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair
In the actual event, Ric Flair’s performance ‘paled’ in comparison to the year when he won the WWF Championship during the last rumble. But to enter at number one and secure arguably the highest elimination count, in addition to the lengthiest time in this match, it all the more makes up for that poor performance he displayed in 93. While Flair still didn’t win this match, thanks to Fatu, I actually thought Flair was going to pull off the victory.
The Dull Participation Medal for the ‘lamest’ performance goes to:
Genchiro Tenryu
I’m not entirely surprised he lost this match, that was still going to happen regardless, it’s the fact he was eliminated ‘earlier’ than his actual performance.
And the biggest question of them all:
Who’s next?
Nice Maxx Moon attire. Pretty original. Not necessarily copying.
👍💯🤙
Pant style looks like Savage with the blue streaks modifying them.
I’m sure someone else answered, Ricky, but yes the Ted DiBiase bit with the basketball dribbling kid was a work 😊
They met actually years later too!!!
Hahahaha ur Macho Man had one too manny Slimjims!!!! 😂😂😂
The best part is that Rocky is the FARTHEST away from the Anawahi family line yet he uses it the most now.
Flair was in the best shape of his life brother
Fun Facts: Do you know that Carlos colon is Carlito's father. And did you know that Carlitos is half Canadian from mother side.
Wow didn't know that
I don’t know what it is about these videos. I like em. Can’t explain it
The Model 😂Savageeeeee!
Jerry Sags does very well in these Rumbles.
Samu also wrestled with the future Rosey as the Samoan Gangster Party, which they wrestled briefly in ECW.
Max Moon, I’m almost 100% sure, that he was Konnan before he was Konnan. #digit
I can't believe Flair was the one who caught on fire. They should include a feature where dudes catch on fire and start cleaning house! Like when a fresh contestant enters. My favorite Rumbles were 97 when Stone Cold was clearing house, and the one where Brock did that, too.
Sacramento! Sacto, Sactown! My hometown. I was wasn't watching wrestling until late 1994...
Skinner was Steve Keirn. Genichiro Tenryu was in the Rumble because WWF had a deal with a Japanese promotion called SWS. Max Moon was Paul Diamond who was Kato in the Orient Express.
Wow that's for the info
Blackozuna was in the Rumble in place of Yoko.
RICKY J!!! Big fan of the videos. Can you format a March Madness style Tournament. Rather than regions, you can have them face off against their own royal wrestling family tree, until they make it to the next bracket until the Royal Wrestling Family King is Crowned
Whats up Ricky J I hopped on!!! I love you Ricky!!
I love u man!!! Thx for coming by.
Ohh yeah! Thanks Ricky great rumble!👍🏻
Cheers,
Mike L 😎🇨🇦✌🏼
Skinner was Steve Keirn. He also was Doink the Clown when Matt Borne left. He chewed tobacco which was black licorice and looked gross. He wrestled the ultimate warrior one time and warrior told him not to spit the licorice in his face because it would mess up his makeup. The first thing he did in the match was spit it in his face.
Haha
So Saggs picked up and threw out Eathquake and Yokozuna?
Doesnt this game have ratings on wrestlers? That should never be allowed to happen.
Flair is definitely on something. Superkicks. Floatover DDT's. Mafia kicks. That's not your granddaddy's Ric Flair.
Yes Yokozuna was a part of the Anoa'i family which includes the rock, roman, solo and the usos
Yes Yokozuna Is Related To The Usos And Roman 9:59
Can you book other ppvs like survivor series or mania
Ted DiBiase said that he met the young man again years later
He motivated him to graduate college and so forth. But he got paid the $500 back stage after the basketball thing.
“First of all, young man, it’s MISTER Bob Backlund!”
Yokozuna was the cousin of Roman Reigns. So he is also related to The Rock.
Unbelievable
Yes Yoko was part of the Samoan Dynasty. The funny thing is, I don’t think most of us growing up watching him ever suspected he really wasn’t Japanese lol! He played the role exceptionally. He didn’t need to speak much because he had Mr. fuji and also Jim Cornette as his mouthpiece’s. Definitely one of the best big men to ever step in a Wrestling ring for sure.
I agree there should be at least 12 in the ring by now, even if it is a bit sloppy , they can even give an option between the 2.
