  • From now on scientists can look at how living cells function and react under various experimental conditions, in parallel and throughout a the cell’s lifetime. With the new 3D microscope unveiled today by EPFL spin-off Nanolive, researchers can observe the details of how cells operate - all the way down to their organelles. What’s more, the microscope is fully automated and doesn’t damage the cells being studied.

Imagine the observation of introducing foreign elements and the reaction over time at the cellular level versus the organism as a whole. Wow!

Can you use "Facial" recognition to recognize pathogens? We are creating a mucosal microbial (good bacteria vs bad) human norm database. Almost all chronic illness is gut disease.

You could train an ML model to identify known pathogens based on existing images, but the recognition is only as good as the sample set used to train it. You can also train across a set of similar properties to be able to quickly identify those same properties.
