    I'm enjoying your videos after just recently finding them here on u tube. Loads of great tips that I've not come across before. I'd be interested to know what model impact gun you use, all my cordless tools are makita and it would be handy to keep my batteries for everything rather than buy the charger etc, but there is such a huge array when you start looking what's about, anyway loom forward to watching more of your videos and ideas

      Hello and thank you. It's an 18v DTW285, it has three or four different power setting which I never use, I previously has a more basic and less expensive model which I lost; I found it just as good as this more expensive one but could not replace it the on day that I needed to. They are so handy, I would not be without one.
      The ultimate power of the things is not really important to me because I have several pneumatic wrenches including a massive inch drive thing which I have probably only used once or twice. All collected from boot sales over the years. For occasional use I find the 3/4 drive one handy for stubborn fasteners, often with a converter and 1/2 inch sockets.

    Just out of interest what mileage is on the pick up with the job having been done twice?

      Hi Matthew. About 170k. As with many vehicle parts the original manufacturers parts last very well but alot of the pattern parts, especially the cheaper ones, have very short working lives and often don't last twelve months. I once had an old, Volvo 240 which pulled slightly to the left and every year I asked the MOT tester to look for the problem and was told that there was nothing wrong with the car. Eventually I changed all the ball joints and the track rod ends, still did not cure the problem but that year the car failed the test because the new parts had worn out! Fortunately I still had the old ones which I put back on and they lasted the life of the car. Lesson learned. Regards, Jon
