Im currently building a whole setup and the polyend play got my attention towards their instruments... and now Synth is on my to-get list.

I really enjoy playing mine. With it being multi-timberal you can set up a rhythm, bass, and lead voice and work out ideas pretty quickly. It is also great to just sit on the couch and play without a big setup.

I was hesitant at first but pulled the trigger. Love it!! I use it to play the Digitone 2 mainly. I'd been looking for a pad style midi controller and this ticks more boxes than i was hoping for. Very happy buyer! Got some great sounds and features at a reasonable price point. Digitakt 2, Digitone 2 and Polyend synth. Absolute gold!!

I had been looking for something like it for a long time. Being able to play multiple sounds at once without an elaborate setup is amazing. Very impulsive, but purchased it the same day I saw it listed. Couldn’t be happier. It’s a joy to play. I used it with a digitakt. Lot of possibilities from such small units.

I really want to get something I can play on the couch. I'm super interested in the workflow and the capabilities of the Synth. But I can't help but think that maybe a Seqtrak would be more "fun", even if the workflow doesn't interest me as much. Choices, choices!

Yep, the size makes it ideal. I can grab it easily and sit anywhere in the house and play it with almost no setup. Works great with a laptop lap support for sitting on the couch.

@@pineboxvintage Exactly! But the Polyend Synth just seems like so much FUN! I love the sound of it aswell. Although it seems a bit too clunky to take with you on the train or such without any hassle so to say.

    I love mine too.

It’s very enjoyable to play, and it’s easy to just turn it on and play for a few minutes and then set to the side. The size for performance value is big for me.

What is that device you have connected to the polyend synth?

Hey, I am recording the audio into a Zoom H6. It’s not the newest version but is probably the one released about 5 or 6 years ago. It is a field recorder with 4 inputs and can be used as an audio interface.

I am on the fence buying one but what keeps me from doing that is the various mentions in forums and videos of bad trigger and velocity sensitivity of the pads. Most people fix that setting the pads to fixed velocity, but that seems contrary to the concept of this instrument. What's your experience with the pads?

I would agree with most of what you said. The buttons are a little stiff and when you hit them they can double trigger if you aren’t applying enough pressure. Almost like your finger bounces off and hits twice. I have patches that use both pressure sensitivity and ones with it disabled. I like both for different sounds. Some of this may be adjusted in future firmware updates if it’s a sensitivity problem rather than mechanical. It’s really delightful to play but I definitely understand your concerns especially if you were trying any kind of performance with it. I’ve not played any other gear with silicon pads so I don’t have anything else to reference.
